You'll definitely want to hear from some current subscribers as I haven't been a member there is three years, but unless things have changed with the site, they are probably the best mainstream BDSM network around. If there is a better one, I haven't seen it. One advantage, presuming this is still the case, is that the older scenes are often better. I think it stems from the Doms being better. They also had the facility for some amazing scenes and they sold that a couple of years ago. The older scenes are lower resolution but still pretty good.
Unless current or more recent subscribers have a contrary opinion I'd say take a chance and subscribe.

A pretty annoying development: Kink has now removed the option of downloads from all their subscription plans. The change went into effect a few days ago without any kind of advanced warning or general notification. Even for someone that has an 'Unlimited' plan (like myself), you can no longer download any specific scenes, no matter how old or new. Basically if you want to download a specific scene, you have to purchase the video like you would on a clip site. I'd be more aggravated, but I only subscribed because a fair number of performers I really like did a substantial amount of work for that studio (like Isis Love, which the vast majority of her G/G is on Kink). But if anyone was considering a subscription, I'd recommend avoiding it from now on unless you're comfortable with a streaming-only subscription plan.
Vote with your wallet and they might revert back. For me this is a reason to not subscribe anymore as I never stream my porn. I always download and watch it on my own media server.

But based on this, I won't be signing up ever again. Like many people here at ADT, I'm more of a collector so downloads are more than just important, they are essential. No downloads means no subscription for me.
^ I had signed up a month ago for the new TS Pussy Hunters, Whipped Ass and Everything Butt, they'd had a big sale for yearly subs. A month in they pull this. Immediate cancellation here, asking for a full refund. To their credit they didn't argue the matter and came through within 24 hours. I feel that they attempted to on-ramp as many members as they could with the deep yearly discount before pulling the trigger on the streaming only/purchasing downloads bit.
I left a comment that made mention of their interview portions with the performers, the ones they do before and after all their scenes, and how I find it ironic they harp on about it so much and take the time to make sure that everything is kosher through such communication, holding it as one of their principles and yet - where was the communication with their members on this matter? Dropped the ball in full there.
^ Yeah they really botched this entire thing. It's pretty clear that they're seeking a new revenue stream, likely because traffic fell significantly with the pandemic dramatically throttling the flow of new scenes. But this seems like overkill, especially when you consider that a lot of people are subscribing to be able to access their pretty massive archive (they have content dating back to almost 20 years ago) I could even understand them rolling this out for scenes that are brand new to the site, perhaps keeping content that's been released within the last 3ish months behind the 'stream-only' wall with the option to purchase them individually. But, charging a person $10 to download a 30 minute low-res video from 2004? That's just ill-advised, especially when you've marketed your plans for years as being stream+download. From what I've seen, the Kink consumer base has a lot of long-term subscribers who'd be amenable to belt tightening if it had been handled better.
^If you are correct then whoever is in charge is in my opinion a low grade moron because to me and I suspect most porn fans the ability to download content from Kink's huge library of older videos is the only thing that makes them remotely relevant today. It can't be their subpar newer stuff that rarely warrants more than a passing glance.
It's their business so they can do what they want with it but I won't be surprised to hear that they have stopped producing any new content now that they can't make any money.

Also this is peanuts compared to the OF pricing that a lot of people are apparently ok with. I'm a mass collector though. I have the entire catalog since 2011. For me this new system sucks if I would to start my collection today.
I'm not super happy with the current Kink. It's just not what it used to be. The old scenes are better so I guess my collection stops here.
^ I think the OF comparison is fair, although the issue is expectations for existing subscribers. Having a core feature yanked out from under you and told that you'll now have to spend a lot more out of pocket (assuming the person likes to download and watch offline like you and I) is going to piss off a lot of existing users. But I think their logic is that *new* subscribers who are used to OnlyFans pricing will just accept a streaming-only platform with a-la cart scene purchases. But I'm in the same boat as you, I only really cared about their archive so I'm just going to hit the road.
^^I won't speak for the worth of an 18 years old video because it's subjective but at least with Kink you know what your money gets you and that is very different from how OF operates so not sure that this is a good comparison. Also not sure how likely it is for anyone to do a significant search for content that is nearly 20 years old unless it stars a performer they stumbled upon and they want to get as much of her content as they can. Let's be honest here. Unless you are in your 30's then I'm not sure you know most of the performers who did porn in 2004 and you may not want to download content that is likely at a resolution of 480p at best.
I've said it before but I think Kink was mortally wounded the day they lost The Armory. They managed to output a certain amount of decent content for a while afterwards but I think The Armory was so much a part of Kink's identity that it's lost meant that they couldn't do the content they had done for decades. Just the production cost had to be more then they could afford since it meant finding shooting locations and most weren't ideal for the type of porn Kink produced that ultimately most of what came after 2017 was stuff under the old name but with a different flavor.
Interesting development: It appears that they've reversed course on removing downloads from the subscription package. I logged on randomly this afternoon and the download functionality was back. Wasn't sure if it was a glitch or something, and one of the other users posted this in the forum. If I were to hazard a guess, my suspicion is they had a big wave of cancellations and decided to hold off on sunsetting that option

I'm a collector. I'm willing to pay and do that, but I want to download and store the content I like. Safe from any financial problems the vendor might encounter down the road or any changes on what society considers acceptable. There's no subscription to any site that doesn't have downloads and I'll immediately cancel any sub to a site that disables downloads.

The search facility has also been screwed for the last few weeks so you can't go back more than a page or two of a channel, actress etc. I get the following error message,

^I've been having the same problem with the site navigation, that same error pops up every time. Which basically means it's currently impossible to pull up a model's scene listing, or even expand the page to see individual channel scenes. I reached out to their tech support, and they said that they're working on a fix for the issue. In the interim, you can find specific scenes by using the "search" bar and then filtering the results based on the model. It's pretty tedious and not very efficient so hopefully they get that bug figured out.

I have had Kink.com for the last two years. Its wonderful and worth the money I spend on it. I love that they notify you when your fav folks have a new scene up.
I am under 30 and I really enjoyed going through their older stuff. It's such an abundant archive, you always find stuff new to you. Good decision to allow download again. For the time being it sometimes helps to go through lists on other sites for the different channels like TofO or SAS and try to find the shoot number. Then you can type in kink.com/shoot/12345 - and type in the shoot number...
They still do updates for original scenes and serve as distributors for independent producers but yeah for the most part the days of elaborate storylines are gone :( Their Armory era stuff was top notch. 2009-2014 was something else!
There's a lot going on at Kink. Probably the biggest development is that Kink relocated operations from San Francisco to Las Vegas. Also, Kink legends Matt Williams and Princess Donna were brought back to direct and have been shooting for months now.
I hope they bounce back strong. There's been a lot of turnover at Kink. Just in the last 5 or so years, they've lost Ariel X, Aiden Starr (Kieren Kurai), Maitressse Madeline, Tomcat, Fivestar, Sadie Lola and X Liberus. The only consistent Director they have now is The Pope. I know the pandemic made things difficult. And Kink's efforts to keep performers safe during was very commendable. But the former CEO, Alison Boden, always wanted to scale back production of original content and serve as more of a distribution hub for third parties. She admitted it on Holly Randall's podcast. I believe the pandemic further accelerated this.

I'm not sure what the point of this is, other than to say that I'm a Kink fan. And while I know a return to the glory days is unlikely, efforts are being made and not going unnoticed nor unappreciated.

And all of F&B was replaced with old Dungeon Sex scenes.
I did a little research. Seems that F&B was always distributed by Kink. But was produced by Chanta Rose? But was formerly known as Dungeon Sex. Which also became Brutal Sessions. But old Dungeon Sex scenes can also be found on Brutal Sessions in addition to F&B. IDK it's confusing. I am 99% sure that Chanta's Bitches and Captive Male were stand alone sites.
Anyways. I'm looking forward to checking out the new stuff from Princess Donna and Matt Williams, when it finally drops. I think Princess Donna is directing for Hardcore Gangbang and possibly Public Disgrace. No idea if she also plans on bringing back Wired Pussy or Electro Sluts. I don't know what Matt Williams is working on, but he tweeted that his first shoot back was with Dee Williams and Syren de Mer. As EB directors, Charlotte and Arclyte are very different. Charlotte's scenes are more soft and playful and have more emphasis on fisting, gaping, rimming/ass worship, etc. Arclyte's scenes are more about strict D/s play and have more emphasis on bondage and/or corporal punishment. Granted, Arclyte has a much smaller sample size.
Good news for Everything Butt fans! In the comment section of the most recent EB scene, what appears to be a Kink employee posted that EB is returning to regularly uploading videos. And will be uploading every Wednesday in March as a make good for the recent lull
