I don't know much about LA Direct Models but if Lana thinks it'll be good for her than congrats to her. I only hope they don't take over too much of her social media and change how she interacts with people. But I can see a big agency really limiting her interactions on here and twitter going forward. On a side note, I am going to try stepping back and away from this place for a while. Not sure if it'll be permanent or not but wish all of you the best and I hope you all continue to enjoy Lana's work going forward as much as we all have so far. You must have a more discerning eye than me. As far as I'm concerned, I like to see beautiful women fuck each other. If they're not really into it in real life, that's not a big problem for me. I presume they have to have sex with guys they're not particularly attracted to sometimes as well. A good performer can put on a good show, even if she's not really gay or bisexual.

I think it's easier for girls to "fake" a B/G scene than a G/G scene. Judging by the lukewarm reception to the G/G scene on Blacked, I expect the same kind of reaction around here if she does do a G/G scene for her showcase, so best for her to do G/G with actual G/G companies where it will be appreciated.
Well, it's quite strange she chose LA Direct - it's certainly a downgrade to Spiegler, in my opinion. Interesting that during her first week in porn when everybody was speculating who her agent was and LA Direct was mentioned she said she did research, found top agent (later revealed to be Spiegler) and knew better than to sign with them. Guess someone who is working with them closely convinced her, can't imagine anyone unbiased giving that advice. Based on what some of their former models said LA Direct has a big favoritism thing going where they give their full attention to their most popular models while models struggling with bookings end up being ignored or even treated like crap. On the other hand, Lana is extremely popular so she'd be probably fine. Either way, it's not a sign of a great agency in my book though it's easy to get an illusion that they are the best agency ever since they have some of the biggest stars like Megan Rain, Adriana Chechik, Alexis Texas as well as one of her favorite male talents Jean Val Jean. Though now she won't be able to work with several others top male talents like Michael Vegas and Logan Pierce who were blacklisted by Derek. There were times when he put male talents on models' no-list just because he didn't like them personally and didn't even tell his models about it so they couldn't shoot with them and, of course, it limited their work. As for escort, while it's not exclusive to LA Direct and models from some agencies do it it's more focused on it since Derek is friends with the people who like that kind of service - they call it "luxury dating" or "bachelor parties" to cover it up. Afaik legit good agencies don't encourage escort. On a more positive note, Lana is more than likely going to be their new hit, probably dethroning Megan Rain and few others as their most booking model so chances are she's gonna get their full attention and might not have any issues with LA Direct at all. Seems like it's a done deal so kinda late to backtrack anyway. Hopefully she doesn't end up in Morgan Lee and Naomi Woods (and everyone else who had problems with their multi year contracts) situation.They like to use FTV or Blacked/Tushy pictures with their LA Direct logo slapped on top of origional ones.
Maybe Pierre Woodman? He seems to work with a lot of LA Direct Models. Maybe some other European companies? Other than that, I would assume no different companies than before.
That is a very serious development in Lana's life... I have mixed feelings about it. There are pros and cons... Actually mostly because again one chapter of her life book closes and another opens.. Pros:
LA Direct Model is one of the biggest names in the field. By signing at them she officially makes a truce with the industry and reenters smoothly in the system.
Her promotion and support will be wider and she will have the chance to be booked a lot easier and a lot more frequently for many events, in or off porn stages. This way she will potentially have the chance to win more money.
She will be under the wings of a "protector" which will ideally stand up for her well being in the stages, cover her interests and take care of her if something goes wrong.
Being a part of a bigger "family", you will have the chance to socialize with her colleagues and make new friends. In a way the timing was excellent because of the upcoming AVN con, in which you will get all together.
Some of the girls she follows in social media like Mia Malkova and Darcie Dolce belong there. Megan Rain already welcomed her warmly in the club and she is one of the girls Lana suggested to work with in Lansky's Showcase.
You might be able to learn a lot by socializing with respectable adult models who have a long and successful course in the biz. (Tori Black, Mia Malkova, Alexis Texas, Riley Steele and other prestigious performers). In good will they will advise you and guide you through the rest of your career.
Generally by gaining knowledge and experience you might have the chance to normalize your career, plan your schedule better, keeping most of the markets satisfied without destroying your prestige. You might also be able to learn by mistakes other models did and try to avoid them.
Probably their publicists will take over her social media account management and help her running them better. She might also learn to avoid some advertising mistakes she used to make in the past. Thankfully for us, almost all agents understand the significance of this site, not only as a social medium but also as a marketing tool.
Having already a background with a major adult agency (good or bad, still made her wiser), I am sure that she must have tried to make a better contract with the agency which will suit better her "character", her real character and her needs.Cons:
The agency itself is a brand. It creates obligations from her behalf and limits her freedom at a certain grade (as it is stated in the relevant contract).
Agents are still businessmen which means they want to make money. Sometimes their interests might contradict with yours, they might press you to do things you do not want and change your schedule. You need to learn to say NO if you don't like something. In a nice polite way but still NO.
They will not do anything for free so you need to manage your financial accounts much better and keep something aside for the future.
Yes there will be some kind of rivalry between you and the other models. This is always natural as the attention is shifted from the agency. But you need to stick all of you together. It is for your own interest to support each other. Socialize with the girls, at every chance and strengthen your bonds together. Make Friends, you will need them all through out your career.
You will get a lot busier now, with your bookings, your site, your outside porn endeavors (ALWAYS HAVE A BACKUP PLAN BESIDES PORN). But please find a way to keep the thread and all of us warm here. Keeping in subject that wouldn't be wise from the agents behalf not to respond here for many reasons. I know that many agents like Mark Spriegler encourages their models to signup here. These people are professionals. As I stated above these threads are also a marketing tool. All major director appreciation threads are one forum away, not mentioning that quite regular people from their stuff come to check the star crossing threads here. Apart from that it is a personal need of hers. ADT is different from Twitter because here we can discuss and express our opinion and our arguments without limits. It is different from her personal blog too. Because here many porn viewers are gathered all together which might not already be registered in her site and it will be a good place to create new supporters. Plus, the quality of the members here is elevated (even if sometimes we quarrel each other) because we are reading constantly about the industry and its events and she might always need a more "searched" and honest opinion from her fans or not necessarily, about anything that concerns her, from her scenes, her appearance or any other choice she makes. Finally, it is for sentimental reasons. For many months this thread was her little social "nest". When in difficult times for her we all posted a few words of encouragement and appreciation, trying to make her feel nice and warm. ^^^Well yeah, I know that women's breast size fluctuates due to many different factors through out their life time.
