I recently placed an order with laser's edge for 3 discs, including gangland#36 at $14.00. later I received an email staying that item was deleted. however yesterday when querying my account I received a message stating the item (gangland #36) had been reordered at a fee of $19.95. I am surprised that they have decided to charge me extra without consulting or advising me prior. I definitely am not paying this. I will contact them to see what is going on, but was interested in knowing if anyone else has experienced this.

I had a similar but slightly different problem. Apparently Laser's Edge's sales pricing is only for in stock items (and sadly their stock comments don't seem to be that accurate). One title I ordered went out of stock and they cancelled it without letting me know, while another title was backordered. They seemed to have some problems with their website last week as I couldn't log into my account to check the status (I finally discoverd what had happened last night). I sent them an e-mail about 10 pm last night asking what had happened and letting them know that I was FAR less than pleased, especially since when I checked their site a few minutes before both titles were listed as shipping in 1 to 3 days (my order was placed roughly two weeks ago).

Now for the good news, by 10 am this morning I had an e-mail from Laser's Edge apologizing for what had happened. They thought an e-mail had been sent out to me and told me the title which was cancelled was back in stock and they would be more than happy to sell it to me for the sale price (which shipped out a few hours after I told them I was still interested). They also let me know what was happening on the backordered title.

I can't say that I'm 100% satisfied with what has happened with this order, but Laser's Edge did seem to try hard to resolve the problems with my order. I've had very good luck with them on all my other orders in the past, so for now I'm willing to chalk this one up to being a fluke.

I seem to remember a thread in the past discussing stock status at various stores. With Lasers Edge old site the stock status was an indicator of whether their distrbutor typically stocked the item and did not necessarily mean that Lasers Edge had it on the shelf. I'm not sure if this is how their new site works too.
