Hi all.

i have always used FiveStar DVD for my porn, but Laser's Edge have a title that Fivestar don't have.

So naturally i was going to order from Lasder's Edge but the shipping method (and price) is somewhat different.

As a fivestar customer i am pleased with there shipping method (Global Priority Letter)
All DVD's have come through with no scratches, nor have the envelope been opened

i dont understand the lasers Edge methd.

DHL International Rates (an extra $20?)
and
UPS International Express (an extra $30?)

is there anybody here that can shed some light on this subject ?
maybe you have ordered from Laser's Edge with Success ?

I would like to hear from you..

Thanks

I have placed about 8 orders with lasersedge since they started their $1.99 international shipping rate. I always order single discs, they arrive in small cardboard boxes. All my orders have arrived safely and unopened, usually taking about 8 days.
Hope this is helpful.

Yeah, top quality service. No problems from Laser's Edge (though they sometimes take a little time to get items in stock).

Like Athos says, $1.99 for Airmail shipping. Comes in a cardboard box, "favourably" valued for Customs. I have had no problems with this method. No packages opened or duty applied (if you keep your order to a single disc, it shouldn't even be an issue).

I have also ordered from them via DHL, $20 for up to five discs was a great option when in a hurry. I am not totally sure, but their courier rates seem lower than other vendors.

If in doubt, email the guys at Laser's Edge, they're always helpful, and are able to cater for special shipping requests.

Laser's Edge are good, but unfortunately every time I want something it has to be back-ordered... They get the DVD you want eventually though.

I prefer single DVD orders with the $1.99 shipping.

Hi ShiWarrior,

From what I understand the DHL and UPS methods of shipping involve the DVDs being removed from their cases and shipped to you in a flat courier envelope, which really cuts down on the weight of the DVDs and works out to really cheap shipping considering the speed they get to you in.

hope this helps,

scipio

You have to compare like for like. DHL International offered by Lasers Edge is guaranteed delivery & insured for upto 5 items. An equivalent service from Fivestar i.e. Global Express is $23.00 plus $1.50 per item.

Also, Fivestar doesn't have flat rate shipping it starts at $5.00 plus $1.50 per item for a Global Priority Letter.

Well, a DHL envelops is an express envelope. I believe it comes with order tracking, insureance and all that jazz. DHL keep the parcel from despatch to delivery to your door.

Global Priority is a USPS thing, and gets sent with regular mail, from the USPS, to the local post office wherever you live, uninsured, without tracking.

Charlie pointed out that it's not $6 flat rate with the details.

cheers,

To clarify, this can be done by Laser's Edge if you so desire, but I had an order sent with boxes no problem for $20. So you get pristine discs still in the shrink wrap.

I'm glad to clarified that for me - receiving the boxes and art-work is important.

How long do they take to get delivered to you?

I can't remember exactly, I think I posted about this at the time, but it was really a matter of a couple of days, three at most.
Laser's Edge seem prepared to accomodate requests about shipping with or without boxes or artwork as you desire. Just email them, they always reply quickly and are very helpful in my experience.
