I am thinking of ordering a few DVD from Laser Edge using the Worldmail shipping option but I do not have a clue what is Worldmail. Thought some of you who has use this shipping option could help.

Is Worldmail a service offered by US Postal Service or some other company? If it is some other company, what is the company's name? Do they deliver to your home and if no one is in, they would leave a Delivery Advise just like DHL or Fedex?

A quick search suggests it's a service from DHL, but I can't find it on their site. Hmm.

I haven't used this method anyway, so I can't comment on it. I did have a look at their site just now, but I can't actually find "Worldmail" as an option on the page explaining shipping methods.

Yeah, I did the same thing and suspected Worldmail is from DHL but could not confirmed it as the service is not listed on DHL website. And you are right about the Laseredge page on shipping methods which no where has any explaination on what Worldmail is.

Anyone here know what Worldmail is, please advise.

Guys

Just a quick note, we have updated our "Explaination Of Shipping Methods" page. It now reflects the services we use. We discontinued use of DHL's Worldmail service a few months ago (some of you will recall the problems we had back in March with Worldmail) and went back to our previous mail sorter. All of our mail goes to New Jersey is sorted by country of destination and then is put directly into the country's postal system. Some packages go on to Switzerland for sorting but this doesn't cause any further delay as it arrives in Switzerland the day after it is dispatched from New Jersey.

We also now offer GPM (Global Priority Mail), this has been added to our site and descriptions of shipping methods as well.

Thanks
Marc @ The Laser's Edge
