Remy announced her return around the end of February? US issued the stay at home order around mid March, so that was about 2-3 weeks at most that she had available to shoot scenes.

That's assuming she were able to shoot scenes immediately the day after announcing her return, but she also has young children to consider, companies have pre-booked scenes during those few weeks that they can't just cancel at the drop of a hat for one return, and also we don't know if Remy had fully finalised her agency contract etc. at the time.

So yeah, Remy's delay in return can definitely, at least partly, be blamed on the pandemic.

whenever the pandemic "ends" and we get back to "normal" the new normal will look much different especially for many industries that rely on having many customers at once: sporting events, bars, restaurants, zoos, aquariums, theme parks, etc. will not operate at anything near full capacity until there's a vaccine or proven medicines that bring the mortality rate way down

so, for women who retired and found new work and have now lost it, they need to money to live and know the demand for them in porn still exists so long as they stayed in shape and still have the body and looks to have a strong fan base

All it would take is one case to spread and several members of a production to fall ill and for even one to, god forbid, die, and everything will get shut down again just like occurs when one man or woman performer tests positive for a STD.

With that said, I think individuals in the industry are already starting to shoot their own content again. Or scheduling shoots at least. Individuals can honestly do whatever they desire and probably don't see a big risk if it's just the 2 on-camera folks or maybe just 1 other camera person.

On another note, coming onto this thread reminds me of the first time I watched the Leah and Lana blacked.com scene.. the level of pure beauty was just too much to take in. Before all the surgeries, Lana was on par with her in terms of pure beauty. Leah is probably top 10 at least in terms of purely beautiful porn stars ever.
