Just saw at my local store, new names to some of my favorite titles: SID KNOX taking over some of Chico Wang's titles MOUTH 2 MOUTH AND SPRING CHICKENS IVAN who now directs A2M, Sweet Cheeks... Is it better or not as good?
I haven't watched any of Ivan's stuff beyond the trailers that he posts, but i do know that he's a kickass guy and is really nice to everybody and answers all the questions that people ask.
I'm not a huge fan of the "anabolic style," post-Mike John. Ivan and Ricky know what they are doing and are working up new things for the company ... I think it's still a work in progress. They will succeed to the degree that they blow off what happened at the company the past few years and create their own vision. I was a diehard loyalist for a long time but I gave up a couple of years ago. They've basically snatched a baby from a burning car. Now we'll see if it grows up to be a rocket scientist or a street bum ...
Spring Chickens was invented by Jon Dough. I'd really like to see Anabolic retire all the old lines created by gonzo visionaries and come up with something new. It's fairly criminal what happened to some of those lines. Down the Hatch without Mike John is like the atom bomb without Enrico Fermi.
Well I have watched Ivan's previous work with Evolution Erotica and I have seen Ivan's Sweet Cheeks 8 from Anabolic, and I can honestly say that you will not be disappointed with his stuff. He is a super nice guy and he knows how to handle the camera to create some nice looking stuff. As for the other new ones, I have not seen any of their work. EMS providers for ALT Porn!!!!
It is. For all intents and purpose a new day has dawned at Anabolic. There may be a few bumps in the road but the current stable Tony, Ivan, Ricky and a couple others, are doing pretty well.Yeah, at the end of the day, the best we can say is give the current product a chance. I see what you are saying and while new lines are being created like 'Cream Plosions' some of the older lines still have life in them, especially with these cats bringing their A game to the table. Check out Ivan's work. I was really impressed with A2M 11. Great tease, great chemistry, and one heck of a great eye behind the camera. To make matters better, he is one of the nicest guys you can hope to meet who really cares about not just his performers, but his fellow directors at Anabolic and Anabolic's overall product. I've been horribly behind the 8 ball with other stuff, but I'm hoping that by next weekend I'll have the set report done for Cream Plosions where I was lucky enough to hang out with Ivan for most of the day. One thing I'd love to see more consistently is framing shots so that the genital assault occurs WITH the girl's face in the picture. I was watching a few scenes today from recent Anabolic fare and there'd be shots where the (nearly always faceless) dude is banging away, and you can see half of his ass but all you see at the other end is the girl's neck. That really doesn't make any sense. It would also be better if scenes were shot so that you had some sense of ANY chemistry between the male performer(s) and the girl. There seems to be this thing with Anabolic where they cut off the guys' heads (it's also something Vince Vouyer does), and I get the idea behind that, but I think that diminishes the personality in some kinds of hard gonzo scenes (I'm not talking blowbangs, where usually you NEVER want to see the guys' faces ... lol). There was a killer scene with Maya Hills w/Tony T where she's just orgasming like a crazed seal while Tony plays rough with her, banging her up the ass and slapping her around, and what made it good was being able to see both performers pretty much in the frame at the same time, fucking but also making eye contact ... it means you got to pull back some, but it creates an emotional context (I know, it's porn, even if it's pretend emotion, it gets you out of robot city) ... and it makes a hotter scene. For my particular enjoyment.
I give Spring Chickens 19 a thumbs up. Mostly for one of the Isabella's that is doing porn now and the girl named the future of all porn, Ms. Bree. Stunning video quality which I think is really important. I also saw Mouth 2 Mouth - not quite as memorable, might have been mostly vaginal, but the 2 girl on 1 guy sex is always pretty good.
