Can somebody comment on the quality of the movies and quality of the dvd reissue is welcome : crystal clear picture, unedited...I can dream, can't I ?

VCX releases new titles every month now. The newest one that I have purchased is Come With Me My Love and although I haven't watched the whole film, when I was checking the disc to ensure it was okay the picture looked better than their older releases. There is a thread here that I started a while ago about VCX changing their ways.

what is the hold up with VCX and all of the films it has in its possession that could get some type of special edition or true digital transfer?

I'm not sure what you mean by 'true digital transfer'. As far as special editions go, I'm not sure what you are looking for either. I'd love to see the movies remastered in their original theatrical aspect ratios, uncut with photo galleries that include things like the original movie poster and features like commentaries with stars/directors that are still available and the original theatrical trailers.
However this isn't realistic. From reading what studios like Arrow have said about trying to remaster films usually the original prints are long destroyed so they have to find the next best thing. I'm sure that in many cases any secondary materials, like the original theatrical trailers, are for the most part long lost as well. Many cast members/directors from the 70s have left the business and created new lives for themselves others that are still in the business I wonder how much they would actually remember from a film made 20 to 30 years ago.
To be honest, I'm just happy that so many classics are seeing the light of day again via DVD even if they are cut and sometimes the prints aren't the best.

well, that's the problem. a lot of people actually do want special editions of the older films from the '70s. between all of Aung Peg's, Kay Parker's, and Seka's alone you have a few hundred films right there that would be excellent for DVD transfers. I am a HUGE Kay Parker fan and many of her films are yet to be placed on DVD yet. I can only wait and see.
