I heard a tip on the fleshlight forum that waterbased lube can be livened back up by adding a bit of water. I have recently, personally witnessed this to be true myself.

So when I get down for some solo loving, w/ water based lube, I have had a mug next to my bed. But thats a hassle, cuz mugs can spill... So I bought a water spray bottle, the type for ironing clothes. It can just lay on my bed next to me and I can mist my junk every 10 mins or so to prevent any tackiness happening w/ the lube.

In an hour long session, I would normally have re-lubed 4-5 times at least. With my spray bottle handy, 1-2 times instead. And the quality of the experience is better as well.

To me this is awesome. Before I felt like I had to hurry up and get my session done before my lube turned shitty from too much being on there and so much of it being tacky... now I'm chilling like a villan.

Had to tell someone!

I tell all of my customers this when going through the differences between lube types. When water based lube starts to get tacky ppl tend to add more to it which is the wrong thing to do b/c then you are just gumming up the already tacky lube with fresh lube hence ruining your fresh lube. Yes instead keep a squirt bottle handy and give it a quick squirt. If you don't have a water bottle handy you can use your own saliva. This is true for silicone lube as well, of course it should never dry out but ya never know.

The spray bottle sounds like a good idea.
I can last an hour with fucking and my hand but no way could I go an hour with the fleshlight.

This is a great tip! I too have been frustrated with water-based lubes for a while now. That's why I switched to the greatest lube ever made. I feel like making a new thread dedicated to it. It's called COLT Silicone Slick, and it's actually compatible with all materials. That's right! Yes, it's a silicone-based lube that you can use with silicone toys. I picked it up at a local sex shop, but I'm sure you can find it online. I'm happy you found a solution, but when you run out, seriously, get this lube! You won't regret it.
