Does anyone have any advice for porn documentaries? The more hardcore scenes shown the better. Actually any lengthy behind the scenes stuff would be on interest.
Thanks!

There are two that I know of on performers made by the mainstream media, Wadd: The LIfe and Times of John C. Holmes, which has had hardcore scenes added by it's distribution company VCA and Porn Star: The Legend of Ron Jeremy, which although it features parts of scenes doesn't have any that could be considered hardcore. There is also one made by the adult industry, Exhausted on John C. Holmes that includes hardcore scenes. I hope this helps.

As the documentaries are usually intended for TV and cinema its unlikely you will find many with hardcore scenes in them.

Recent docus that I have seen on TV include the aforementioned Pornstar: The Legend of Ron Jeremy; also Sex: The Annabel Chong Story; X-Rated Ambition: The Traci Lords Story; and most recently Porn: A Family Business which is a series.

That's actually the point of interest for me. I've seen all that have been mentioned save the Traci Lords one. I'll check it out. Thanks.

There was also another one on Channel 4 over here called The Real Linda Lovelace but I missed it when it was on.

There was a documentary done on Stacy Valentine called THE GIRL NEXT DOOR. Not sure who released it. It followed her for more than a year in the business.

There have been a bunch, but none that really reset the clock. The Stacy Valentine was pretty good.

What I would have really liked to see was someone do a documentary on the Times Square scene in New York City when is was still sleazy and filled with porn theatres, junkies, whores, and shemales. Then Rudy got a hold of it, and ruined the whole thing by cleaning the place up.
Did anybody shoot anything like that when Times Square was still sleazy? I love watching stuff from that era and whole NYC scene from the late 60's - 90's.

The DVD for "The Girl Next Door" has already been released here in Australia. Your scene in it is pretty memorable too. When you are going to do a threesome with Stacy and Julian, but Julian gets a little freaked by it all and just sits on the bed watching and won't participate. Great documentary.

Yeah, wow, great scene, I was only thinking about that today. Brandon, you are one lucky man.
That was a very interesting doco, as was Annabel Chong's...that was far crazier...the part where she runs screaming down the street....loco!

There was an episode of Ruby Wax's series that visited on set at a Jill Kelly movie too...bad example as Ruby obviously had no respect for the business....oh! And a great episode of Louis Theroux's Weird Weekend where he was onset at a Vivid movie with JJ Michaels and Johnni Black, then a gay porn, then with Rob Black at an Elegant Angel movie. Really good one if you can get it, pretty funny.

Not much help to BigFerret, but maybe worth mentioning that the Family Business series featuring Adam Glasser (aka Seymore Butts) is being shown on terrestrial TV in the UK at the moment.

is not a documentary but a movie, Boogie Nights, director PT Anderson (imo the most talented young director nowadays).

Its kinda a documentary because is based on John Holmes life, even if the events in the movie are pure fantasy.

A very good movie (im a big PTA fan).

(and u can see Julianne Moore and Heather Graham nude AND doing sex, no hard core scenes of course).

Ah yes, I forgot about Louis Theroux's Weird Weekend. That was good. The scene of him at Jim South's office having his photo taken for the books and then going back at the end of the weekend to ask for it back was funny. The funniest part though is Rob Black trying to convince him to be in one of his films. The kid with the Godzilla collection comes off pretty sad though.

Red Triangle,

Did you name your company from the old channel 4 series of 'red triangle' films (or maybe you like drinking Bass)??

I remember I must have been in my early teens when C4 started and they showed that series of films; the only film I managed to stay up and see I watched about 2 hours of subtitled bullshit and only saw a load of nude blokes having a shower!!! Needless to say I was somewhat gutted by the evenings 'entertainment' and never bothered again!

Anyway, I'm sure your stuff must be rather more appealing (given that you're still in business)

Yours,
SNP.

Yes I was a young lad in the early 80s who was very excited at the prospect of guaranteed nudity on Channel 4.

One film I recall the most from the red triangle series was Montenegro, a very weird Yugoslavian film, with some pretty memorable nude scenes.

"The Girl Next Door" was televised by Antenne 2 some years ago.
One of the first documentaries on a pornactress is "Kamikaze Hearts" (1982) on Sharon Mitchell and her then girlfriend and fellow pornactress Tigr.
