A pornstar career seem to be very short today , few months in many cases.When there is one producer who owns a great deal of the websites and DVDs companies the market is turn, they offer access to a variety of sites with just one subscription , good for us, but not for the stars. A subscriber can get many scenes of her , enough to satisfy himself and then go over whereas once, with limited access to the scenes, each subscriber unless bought many subscriptions, just could watch at a few of her scenes and was willing to get more if he liked her. many different sites hired a star because she was in demand and they wanted her for their customers , each of them wanted her for more than one scene , today after a tour to some of the sites they're done and gone because the one owner wants to change the offer and will hire new stars dumping them Also the customers weren't all the same for so many websites , so maybe those at site X liked star A , those at site Z didn't like her but liked star B, this way both star were working. Today the customers are all the same , and if they don't hit enough the button "watch" for star A she's doomed , the owner won't hire her. To this must be added that once there was a market exclusively made for DVDs what was in a DVD wasn't on a site and vice versa (or very little was available both ways),so the stars had a double career and was in demand for both markets, DVDs and websites,today most of what is issued on DVD is also available on a website, sometimes even before the official distribution. A star career isn't so different now , plus the owner of many featured companies is the same who owns the sites, so, again, if the customers aren't hitting the "watch" button the actress won't be hired for movies too. To all this you must add those comprehensive site who contain zillions of scenes for just one subscription or sell them to a very fair price, but the result will be the same, anybody with an attraction for an actress will get tons of scenes of any kind with her in a relatively short time, hence the shortening of their career. In many cases the shortage of work available lead to escorting and this could limit the stars further , if they are required but are already scheduled for a meeting they cannot perform, if they refuse too many times they will not be called many times more. To that must be added some work on the side , like feature dancing , this limit your opportunities if you're traveling to dance you can't shoot , if you don't shoot you need to dance to make a living.
