The cast for the original Massive Asses included Brianna Love and Sunny Lane. Neither of whom would have a 'massive ass' by most standards. Not to mention Jenny Hendrix, Kristina Rose, etc. in previous classic scenes in the series by Mason.

Sunny Lane is to me a bit like Alexis Texas. I still have not seen a REALLY good scene from her. For me it was always about her former figure skating background that made her a star. I do agree not a big ass either. That was all camera tricks. Brianna Love was a sensational performer, but again she didn't have that massive booty. But her performances ALWAYS made up for her lack of curviness.

Clearly there is no accounting for taste as I think Sunny gave consistently great performances. Perhaps you're referring to a theatrical quality in their performances you don't like? I see that but it doesn't bother me too much. I see it as much of not more in Brianna Love, who I'm a huge fan of, but apparently you think she is somehow better, perhaps you measure quality of performance via acts like anal, DPs, etc? In terms of Sunny her scene with Manuel for Massive Asses is one of the best scenes I've ever seen, the heat feels authentic, which isn't always true with her. I wasn't saying that at all and I sure as hell don't measure a woman's career or quality of performance on how many multitudes of dicks she's taking. I was just never really blown away by her performances. If I can see, even in believable acting, a starlet letting go and showing that she is ACTUALLY enjoying the scene then I do think it is a great scene. I just never saw that from Sunny Lane at all in a performance. All of her BTS on various DVDs I saw over the years were candid and great. Just never appeared otherwise in her performances. I totally remember Massive Asses since that was by far Alexis Texas most glorious scene before the hype and fame went to her head. The Sunny/Manuel scene was good, but for me just not memorable.

I'm just gonna change the subject back to this particular issue for a while. At this stage, I think it's rather redundant to complain that these series from Elegant Angel doesn't contain sufficiently "big" or "massive" rumps. As BlackSix pointed out, this has pretty much been the case since the mid-noughties; at the height of a butt centric period no less. With each successive installment, the folks at Elegant Angel seem to have lessened the emphasis on "big" in favour of "popular" until it reached the point where we've been for the last seven years or so, where each new entry contains one or perhaps two performers who're significantly more well-endowed in the pertinent department than the rest of the cast. However, "big" or "massive" are relative concepts, and what we in this thread regard as a benchmark might not necessarily apply to porn viewers in a more general perspective. At the end of the day, I'm still glad that these series are still around, because 1) without them the ladies that we're actively scouting in this thread would presumably have an even harder time getting work, and 2) I find they indicate that there's still some measure of interest left among studios for curvaceous chicks with larger-than-average butts. Even though they might not always deliver something that appeal to my fairly specific preferences, I'd say they're still viable platforms for the likes of Ryan Smiles, Nina Kayy, or Kate Alton. Truly this shows how subjective this all is, also measuring a scene by authenticity is a bit of a fool's errand, more likely to say that the performer appears or is convincing in their pleasure. Alexis' scene in MA is good and not as porn theatrical as her later performances but Sunny's strikes me as remarkable for exactly the reason you mention, both her and Manuel seem lost in each other and the pleasure of fucking. Brianna, as much as I loved her, never gave a scene that projected authentic pleasure. I think you full-on missed the point. I keep watching to see if at any point she's improving since her "return". There have been numerous performers who return to in the industry and drop all the pretense of going through the motions. I'm sure there are a couple, but can't think of any women, off the top of my head, who returned to the industry and were worse or the same as when they left. You can call me a hater all you like, but I've said in numerous threads that her best scene was the first she did with Mason. If I'm not impressed with her scenes and bash her, that's one thing. Waiting and actually hoping she turns it up and starts knocking them out of the park is quite different. I'm not sure how that is particularly happening when she's working with the same producers, directors, production companies and male talent. Unlike the actual "haters" out there I'm not worried, concerned or bothered with her ever doing that one thing she'll never do. That's not even on my list. I want to see her do better performances. Nothing "hating" about that.
