I heard a rumour that Jenaveve Jolie has stopped making movies is this true.And if so does anyone know why. Could it be because she was not enjoying it.
I was a big fan of the Dirty Debutantes series.Those movies were really unique, and seemed to offer a glimse at the "real" girl in the intereview segments. I also liked the way they'd generally be presented in their actual clothes instead of some porn outfit I just found the slow pacing and the buildup to the sex really interesting and hot.Things would go down hill when Ed got into the frame, but everything that happened up to that point would be great. I was a huge Ed fan. Not all his dvd's were good but then again it would be next to impossible to offer hundreds of scenes without having some major failures. I don't think it was always his fault so much has the fact that most of the girls appearing in his movies were true newbies. Many of these same girls went on to have a career in porn. He wasn't a hunk by any stretch of the imagination and he didn't have a huge penis but that didn't seem to be a problem for the women and since he was able to get many of them to do anal then the size of his equipment may have been the biggest reason why they decided to do it. Has there been anyone since Ed to do as much to the porn industry? Is there another guy at this moment who films new girls and gets them to do anal?

IMHO, the only real purpose of the DD and MDD lines were that they always seemed to include a scene from a newbie that would catch my eye and then disappear after only a few scenes.

Let's not forget that the first Dirty Debutantes was with Ed and Jamie Gillis. Gillis had already experimented with the 'reality' gonzo with his On the Prowl video. From what I read in Gillis got bored with the debutantes idea and moved on. Clearly Ed wasn't as easily bored, although he didn't mind boring the rest of us. Ed also shot several early Bus Top Tales videos with transexuals, funny that it's not mentioned much these days.
About Ed Powers, when he first started in the late 80s, it was very original. The low production values was offset by the fresh new girls and just the newness of the format. Also, in the early years, Ed used Jamie Gillis, Randy West, Rocco Siffredi, and John Stagliano even showed up in one scene. There were multiple series, different setups, various backdrops, etc. Then came Jake Steed, but after Jake left Ed basically got lazy. Same old set, same old format, same positions, same ending, etc. Also, somewhere along the way Ed got it in his head that the viewer wanted to hear him pontificate for several minutes at a time. They didn't. I think Ed does deserve a lot of credit for his early work. While he was never a great performer, he shot a variety of women, both established performers and brand new ones. The lighting was often less than stellar, but seeing so many new, young faces entering the world of porn was refreshing and often hot. It was new stuff back then. He just went on far too long, and was too lazy to keep up with the times.

I doubt she's studying hebrew to become a rabbi, anyone can study hebrew in school out of interest. Who gives a shit if she's escorting? Exactly. But katja has a choice. Porn is legal and less dangerous. Yes, porn puts your image out there but she already done hundreds of movies and the fact that she stopped has really made no difference really. New product with old Katja scenes still comes out. Many adult perfomrers have commented in the past that they prefer doing porn to escorting. Others, did not like porn and expressed a preference in escorting. The advantage of porn is testing and safety. The advantage in escorting is that the escort does not necessarily have to 'put out'.
Why hang around the porn scene? It helps the market value of the escort.
I wouldn't watch women who I sincerely believed had been abused, threatened etc into porn. I wouldn't watch women who I sincerely believed were forcing themselves to endure porn for the pay even though they found it degrading, humiliating, abusive and revolting. Well made points which explains why there is so much Bad Porn in circulation. Most of the sex we see is passionless and mechanical. This is exactly why I prefer amateurs and newbies over seasoned porn stars. People new to the industry come across as more genuine and enthusiastic compared to those who have performed in endless titles. Surely, girls try to fake pleasure but it does not work, they are playing to the director and not fooling the audience. In all fairness to Max, the girls in his scenes were not forced to do anything, they were willing participants and most seemed to enjoy themselves. I had zero interest in the rough stuff, the gagging, the gadgets he used, and the overemphasis on anal sex was a turn off but simply loved the girls he would recruit. From what I've read in Ashley Blue's book Powers would pay two to three times the going rate to guarantee that he would get the first timers. Same with Max early on before he started getting super creepy and everyone caught on to him and no one in their right mind would shoot with him anymore.

I never understood it. People are mentioning that he simply paid a lot more but there has to be a lot more to it than just that. Girls who started out with Ed Powers would likely be able to best explain how they ended up on his set. Model agencies had to be channeling the girls directly to him, why I have no idea.
