I have been contemplating getting a PA piercing. I have done some research on it but I have not been able to find any feedback from guys who have one and how their sex partners like or dislike the hardware during intercourse as well as how long they keep the same jewellery in or if they leave it out during extreme sports or activities. Looking for input on this before I make my final decision. I know a PA piercing won;t close up like other piercings.
I don't know anything in particular about Prince Albert piercings. But if you're looking for feedback, I'm curious.
It sounds as if you don't currently have a partner who's "into" this. If that's correct, can you articulate why you want to have the piercing done? What you're looking to get out of it?
I have mentioned it to my wife and she is cautious and suggested I research it. That is how I found out it is a piercing that will not close up like other piercings. I have been looking on a website called bodymod.org but I think their site is biased and I am decided to ask the question on this site. I have though about having an ear pierced but I work in a professional setting and with the risk of having the hole close up on a week long seminar I figured I could go with a PA and that way I could also wear it when I wanted and would not have to worry about have to be re pierced. I am trying to talk my wife into getting her clit hood pierced but I think if I take the dive first she might follow. If she does not I would not care or pressure her into doing it. Being in my early forties I am feel like taking a little more risks from my conservative life. Maybe it's a mid-life crisis urge, I don't know. All I know is that I have been pondering it for the past couple of months.

I'd never do it, but I say go for it.
Forget about mid-life crisis - it only gets better!
I know a guy that has a PA. He says he's always gotten positive feedback from his female sex partners about it. Apparently it feels really good for both parties, according to him.
From what you've written, it sounds as if the purpose of the piercing isn't to get or give some kind of physical pleasure, but rather to make a statement (both to yourself and to others) about the more sexually adventurous path you want to take going forward, to undergo a rite of passage into the next phase of your life.
If, for those reasons, your ear (career considerations aside) would do as well for a piercing site as your penis, I'd avoid getting a Prince Albert as your first piercing if only for the reason that it won't close up.
Some people's bodies reject piercings; they get infections from piercings. If the piercing can close, the problem will resolve itself.
So I'd recommend trying a piercing somewhere else -- maybe a nipple -- and see how it goes. If it works out and you still want the Prince Albert, go for it then.
Personally, I don't see the point. It just looks like it would get in the way and get caught on things and just be a general nuisance to me. But then again, I feel that way about most piercings (Except women. Women do all sorts of inconvenient things in order to look pretty). You can't really dress a dick up. Dicks are supposed to be ugly. A ring in a dick just looks ridiculous.......IMHO.
I think this is the sort of thing a person might regret. Maybe not seriously....since I guess it's only a hole but it could be a PITA.
My wife wanted a clit hood piercing and I got her some non-piercing jewelry and talked her out of it. I don't think she was trying to make a statement. She just wanted to adorn herself.
Assuming that piercing the clitoral hood is analgous to piercing the frenum, I am glad I talked her out of it and that she decided against it. It just seems to me like it is not worth the risk.
Maybe you can get some non-piercing jewelry and try it out before you pierce yourself.
BTW, Her clit looks beautiful in the jewelry and she seems satisfied with it for now. We have gone out and she has worn the jewelry with crotchless panties and a skirt. We were both thrilled with the experience.
If you want to find out whether your wife would enjoy the sensation of a Prince Albert piercing, then I recommend you try fucking while wearing something like the Head Ring w/Ball sold at stockroom.com.
Rotate the ring, and the captive ball can be either above or below your glans, creating different sensations for her that might approximate the effect of the P.A.
I had one for about a month & half, but it never healed correctly. If you decide to get one, make sure the person doing the piercing knows how big you are fully erect or else there's a good chance of it tearing every time you get wood.
check the body mod site called bmezine.com. their forum and community is very helpful with questions like this. yes, a pa feels somewhat pleasurable in me, but not enough to make a huge dif. i think it's more of an aesthetic thing.

There are far easier to heal piercings even genital that are more aesthetic than fucntional that you may like to consider. Having a life mate who happens to have a handful of different male genital piercings might I recommend my personal favorite for function. ( I feel that larger gauge PA piercings can sometimes cause more hurting than pleasure inside, and I tend to remove that piercing before sex anyway. Even after healing its super easy with the friction of sex to get aggravated or chaffed.) I myself love multiple medium guage scrotum piercings. Approx: 10-4 guage. The weight from the multiple rings gently slaps the clitoris . . .depending on the size of the scrotal sac whilst in a doggy position. Really stellar ;) the one and only Edited by - adrenalynn on 3/15/2008 10:40:09 PM
Whenever I've seen this thread title I ask myself where in the fuck do you get a prince albert piercing? I amused myself by answering "Why in the can, of course".
I have a PA. I'm straight. It's a curved barbell. My wife loves it. She says she really feels it and loves it best doggie because the bottom ball hits her G Spot! For me it feels great because everything just seems a little tighter. My head feels more sensitive. Everything's more intense. In everyday life it doesn't get in the way at all and I hardly notice it's there. The piercing took about 3 weeks to heal then the scar tissue took another 3 months to fully heal. It was really only painful for the first 2 weeks. After that, it was sort of a good pain and sex was really intense. I would highly recommend a PA.
In general, my husband likes things natural. When he heard that the general procedure was to put a straw-like tube down the urethra, then a needle down through the tube and then through maybe 1/4" of tissue to the underside of the glans, he was not at all up for it. They say that a penis piercing like the ampallang is most stimulating to the woman (or partner), and that the man is most stimulated by a Prince Albert -- I presume that the ring adds a nice resistance tug. I just like the way it looks, but some of that is a (maybe) juvenile thing about being able to put a leash on the ring or hang charms on there, to tag him with my stuff, as it were. Anyway, there are penis plugs out there which insert down the urethra a bit, and have a metal ring at the top which may give a sort of Prince Albert effect without an actual piercing. Some also a have ring that fits under the glans to help keep it in place: PENIS PLUGS LINK My husband likes the stainless steel and the clean design of these, but is still apprehensive at this point about urethral insertion. I'm not as hopped up about it as I used to be, but I once gave him a little tiny vintage Prince Albert tobacco can for xmas (hint hint).
