| KingClutch Member 165 Posts 3/05 | I've got about 1/2 a dozen discs that for whatever reason, my Sony DVD player finds objectionable. Strangely enough, they all are Red Light District vids. The problems range from skipping to siezing to not playing at all. This is always accompanied by a gawd awful sandpapery sound. Most of them play without flaw on my PC and on a Toshiba DVD player that my friend owns. I own approx. 300 movies and have no problem playing titles from other companies which leads me to think there is more to this than just coincidence. Is there some issue that I'm not aware of with RLD discs being compatible with certain players? Anyone else have similar problems? Thanks. [Link] |

And yes, you describe very well the "gawd awful sandpapery sound"! With my previous DVD player (Philips) they would play better, but the noise was even louder before accessing the main menu and in the first 10 minutes of the film. All the discs play fine on my pc. |
