Hey everyone,

This is my 1st post on this forum and I am not sure if this has been answered before.

I just received my first batch of orders from xonair and I ask them to ship the original package.
After I finally received them, 2 were shrink wrapped in the original manufacture's plastic but this was a different case for the others.
One DVD came off the hub and naturally was scratch along in the process of delivery. But the others DVDs however were also scratch. These DVDs werent shrinked wrapped in their original manufacture package but seemed to be opened and put in a plastic sleeve of the kind that protects covers. Also the labels were folded in the middle of the spine and put back into the cover. One of them was even put back the wrong way. These DVDs were mostly from JXP.
Although I dont have a problem with this, the main issue is the scratched DVDs. They even have some finger smudges on them aswell.
Is this common from orders of xonair and has anyone experienced any similar situations as I feel I have got some used second-hand DVDs paying the full price on them

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Cheers

gunbos,

firstly, welcome to ADT!

I've personally had no dealings with xonair at all, so I can't speak from experiences with them, but the best thing to do in situations like these is to contact (email) the retailer immediately with your situation and concerns.

With luck you'll find that most retailers that participate in ADT's price search have pretty good customer service, and things are often cleared up pretty easily between the customer and retailer.

Try this out and let us know how you go,

cheers,

scipio

just to clarify, xonair does not participate in our price search anymore as we had problems getting a response out of them.

Our experience is that a lot of publisher use boxes that are simply not suitable for mail order. Chances a disc fells out of its tray are 90%. Unfortunately the longer the more publishers tend to use such lousy boxes just to save some more bucks.

I guess it will take some time until they realize that it's worth to spend some more $ for good boxes. This will make the customer happy as well as the retailers.
