I'd like to buy some toys for my girlfriend that we can use in the bedroom but I have no clue what to buy. I've watched a fair bit of Kink.com's scenes and they have some big vibrators that the ladies seem to like. Are they overkill? If not, where is it possible to buy those?
If you guys have some pointers as to what your ladies like maybe that could help too :)

Why don't you mention that you would like to introduce toys into your love making and get her reaction. If she is up for it, either go to a sex shop together or shop on line and let her pick one or two out.
If you want to surprise her, you might choose something like a pocket rocket. It's small and discrete and not likely to freak her out. Not really built for insertion but her clit will love it.
I bought one a while back for wifey and she loves it when I use it on her while she goes down on me.

I am a firm believer in what trout bum says about talking to her about it and going shopping together. I know I've preached about it in other threads.
When couples come in to get a toy box started, I have several recommendations.
Start out with toys that have multiple uses.
A slim line (aka classic vibe) is a good one. Doc Johnson makes Velvet Touch 7 inch that's pretty nice for about $15. Waterproof, quiet, runs on two AA. You can use this to start out with teasing up andd down her back, the bottoms of her feet, her nipples. When she gets used to the toys you can use these for clit, vaginal and anal stimulation. Very versatile toy.
Bullets are nice and they are pretty cheap. You're standard Silver Bullet will also run you about $15. The down fall is the cords tend to short and cordless versions eat batteries.
Both bullets and classic vibes have sleeves you can buy to change the toy up a little bit. Look carefully before buying "kits" that have a vibe with a bunch of sleeves though. These products are usually really cheap and made poorly.
Don't be afraid to play with cock rings!! Those are fun and cheap. Screaming O's makes some fun little rings that she might like and you'll have fun using them on her.
Play with lubes and edibles.
My husband LOVES it when I bring home edible lubes and stuff like that cause he knows he's gonna get licked! And I usually do too!!
I love Good Head by Doc Johnson,Nipple Nibblers, Chocolate Body Toppings (not as sticky as you think) and Tasty Twist edible arousal balm.

Good Head is just an edible lube. I bought it originally because I picked up a Bad Boy Buddy for hubby. I had been looking at them at work and noticed they were only 4 inches so most guys would poke out the end and I thought to myself, "Self, if you bought that and put some Good Head on it,you could play peek-a-boo pecker and give a hummer at the same time without having to suck much dick at all hence relieving yourself of jaw cramps later on."
So I bought it and used it and watched hubby's eyes roll back in his head.
Seriously.

Just curious, your hand doesn't work like a bad boy buddy? From my experience if a girl has her hand lubed with spit and works it with her mouth if feels just like deep throat or better. She actually only needs to work on the top few inches with her mouth and let her hand do the rest.
My question was what did "Good Head" do for YOU, not him.
"Good Head" is actually more than an edible lube, it increases pleasure sensations for the man, but from my scientific research it does zero for the woman, probably tastes like shit for all I know like most edible lubes do.

It tastes good and it's not warming. That's what it did for me. The Bad Boy Buddy was just a different sensation for him and the lube was needed to use it so I picked one I liked. My hand works just fine, but with the toy I can squeeze that mother fucker as hard as I want and even bite it and not hurt my husband.
I don't mean to sound rude, but you seem to have this idea that we're all alike. I've noticed that with other questions you've asked me so I will try to address that.
Different people like to do different things with their partners. What might work for you and yours might not work for me and mine. It's as simple as that.
I don't like spit. It's gross. Sorry but it's major turn off for me.
In 20 years of dental I can deal with blood, puss, broken jaws, dislocated teeth, replanting said teeth, airmen and soldiers that needed their faces reconstructed, tumors, ANUG (Acute necrotizing ulcerative gingivitis..trust me it stinks)teeth being held in only by chunks of calculus and tarter, meth mouth, thrush mouth, root canals, full mouth extractions, full mouth rehabs on children who's mother's put Mountain Dew in their bottles or breastfed them till they were five, dental implants and nasty, nasty periodontal surgery.
But you know what? Ropey, phlegmy, thick, saliva grosses me the fuck out. In the office I would even wipe the receiver of the phone after someone had been on it so it wouldn't smell like spit. And if a guy ever spat on me, so help me God I would bite his dick off and probably punch him in the face.
My husband drinks probably three 12 cup pots of coffee a day. I like sucking dick but I don't like the taste of cum. I will not make him stop drinking coffee and he doesn't make me spit for lube or swallow his cum. Therfore, I do not swallow or do facials. I also don't like cream pies. Hubby can wear a condom, jerk on the sheets,my tits, my ass, my belly. But That shit gets cleaned up fast and we share a sweaty ciggie and sometimes a beer. No one sleeps on the wet spot either. EVER. See? Different.

This is EXACTLY why I come to the forum SexShopGrl, you are not rude at all. I do apologize if I give the perception that we are all alike, that is not my intention. I love to get other peoples opinions which is why I asked yours. Far too often people just agree on this forum without an explanation just to be friendly. I am here to learn, nothing more. I want to try new things that are pleasurable. I am happy to share my personal experiences and experiments with others and I do like feedback whether it is negative or positive.
I have tried this Good Head product and it is great, but the 4 girls I tried it with weren't too into it. They just did it cuz I wanted to try it with them. Flavored lubes are generally sticky and leave a bad aftertaste, I haven't found one yet that I would buy on a regular basis aside from "Cola made by Rain."
But hell, I love wet messy sex (again my own personal taste) and I enjoy incorporating everyday items into my oral fixation. For example, I am all for popping a slice of cheesecake into the microwave and warming it up, then rubbing it all over my partner for desert. Whip Cream and Hershey's Chocolate Syrup are also high on my list for oral delights. Pudding, Jello, I am THERE.
And back to the original poster, you might want to try buying a Pocket Rocket, that is a good starter toy, works great on the clit. My only real advice is to let your girlfriend pick her toys out. A silver bullet inserted into a pussy stuffed with vibratone balls is pretty fun for some women.

Yeah I just didnt want that to come off like I was getting pissy with you about it.
If your girl can sit in a cake and let you fuck her, more power to her. Me, I can get food near my vajayjay or I'll end up baking bread. It's a bummer really cause I kinda like playing with my food!

I would suggest looking into the Lelo brand of vibes and the Vixen dildos of the Vixskin silicone variety. Neither are cheap but they clobber most of the stuff out there. If you're interested in squirting, then the Njoy Pure Wand is maybe the tops.

Lelo's are definately an investment toy.
Gigi is only $109.95 at my shop which I don't think is too bad.
I think we sell Iris for $139.
Very nice vibes, Swedish made, rechargable battery, warranty, low profile, NOT waterproof.

By far the best place to buy Lelo is Amazon.com. The Elise is running $73 and the Iris is under $70 with free shipping. Amazon prices tend to move up and down so place them in your cart and wait for the price to drop. When prices are good you can typically save about 60%. The Gigi is running $64. They also ship sealed in black plastic wrap inside of a normal Amazon box. If the box breaks open there is no way to know what is inside.

Oddly enough, I don't care. If I have something to say I will say it.
You made a post about buying cheap, I made a post about not.
See how that works?
At least I know what I buy at the shop I work at is the genuine article. And I help my local shop stay in business, which helps keep me employed.
I also know that those people who are selling We Vibes and Lelo's on Amazon dirt cheap are probably doing something dirty. You know why? Because $135 for a Lelo Iris is what Lelo charges. We have no choice but to charge that. We don't even make that much money off the higher end toys. The profit margin is not very high. So, how are these people from Amazon making money when they charge half of the listed price? Where are the toys coming from because they sure as hell aren't getting them that cheap from Lelo. That much I do know.

Amazon carries Lelo's directly. They are not fake. Just as with their book business the volumes they sell in allow them to offer lower prices than small brick and mortar stores.

I can tell you first hand, the companies dont give us a choice. We cannot charge anymore or any less for Lelo than what they ask. Period.
We Vibes, Vanity, and Jimmy Janes are the same way. They tell us what we are allowed to sell them for.
I work for an Adam & Eve franchise and even they can't get them for us any cheaper. We have to order directly from those companies. So it'as like I've said before, people buy from places like Ebay and Amazon and then bitch when their local store goes under.

One another note, to anyone who cares, the Jimmy Jane Form series seems pretty nice. We just got a few of them in last week to see how well they would do. Like Leo and Vanity, you have to work a little to sell them but that is expected with the higher end stuff, low profile, rechargable, 100% water proof, STRONG vibe. They are priced and seem to be of quality between a Lelo and Vanity. I had one out last night to show a customer and since it wasnt charged I set it up while she shopped for a few minutes. It took about 15 minutes to get enough charge to allow my customer to check it out. She bought the Form 4.
But this thread was about starting a collection. You can buy what I call "investment" toys like Forms, Lelo's, Vanity and others. But I always say, start cheap and work your way into the nicer toys. So I stand by my suggestions of buying classics that can be used for many different purposes, such as slim vibes, bullets, pocket rockets and cock rings. I could hook everyone here up with the basics like that for under $50 and they would still be quality products like Doc Johnson and Screamin O's.
