That said, if you look at it from a consumer's point of view, it's just another extension of taxation into uncharted (at least relatively so) territory by a governor who appears to think of nothing else all day but how to get every last dime from people. In my opinion, two wrongs don't make a right. If the way that they go about determining their nexuses is too strict for tangible goods (which I believe that it is--this is the "excuse" that I referred to above), it doesn't mean that they should double the wrong and now tax something else that wasn't taxed before in a similar wrong manner. If you couple this so-called "iTunes tax" with all of the other taxes that have been proposed (many of which I listed in a prior post), it's clear to me that what this governor is doing isn't "fair". He is trying to capitalize on any gimmick that he can (i.e., the sugar thing) and any loop-hole that he can (i.e., the "iTunes tax" and the "amazon tax") to drain an already-over-taxed population to the point of breaking.
