| David-J Member 155 Posts 8/02 | Can anyone explain the appeal of movies with shemales (trannies, TVs, ladyboys, or whatever)?? Looking round video stores, or browsing websites, shemale movies are evidently quite popular, but who is buying them? Surely straight guys would prefer real women, and gay guys would prefer real men (and presumably bisexuals would like both), but shemales are neither one thing nor the other. I've only seen shemales 'accidentally' in a couple of Rocco movies, and I didn't find them repulsive, I just didn't find them exciting either. Maybe if they had really big dicks and great cumshots it would be more interesting, but the ones I saw were not impressive in that way (probably from taking a lot of female hormones). [Link] |

Everyones got different tastes/kinks, mine happen to range from average to bizarre, but I don't judge others based upon their likes and dislikes... well except for those who enjoy Wax Lardcore films, then those I question, but not judge... ---BIGmike, going and going and going since MCMLXXX--- |

She did males and females both, and I think her name was Kelly Michaels. Does anyone know anything about her? Stasha was one of the best, but sadly died a couple of years ago from leukemia. She was prettier and had more natural looking tits than most females in porn. She was always a bottom though, and never had an orgasm as far as I could tell. Actually, come to think of it she would have fit right in

There have been a few other girl/she-male scenes. Pretty rare, but there have been scenes. Personally I'd love to see a She-male/she-male pairing in a scene, and perhaps a whole DVD. It's one of the ultimate taboo's, it's a curiosity and a facination, it can be exciting and naughty, a secret joke on the rest of the world. Like many other sexual fantasies can be many things to many people. Personally big goopy cum shots turn me off and TG's turn me on. As I said differnt strokes... |

| David-J Member 155 Posts 8/02 | I was just curious, having been round some video shops this week and noticed that most of them have a sizeable section, or at least a shelf, devoted to shemale titles. You would think that shemales would be a very small minority taste. But whatever rocks your boat! |
| BIGmike B-I-G-m-i-k-e 2335 Posts 3/01 | No problem-o You would think that shemales would be a very small minority taste. I really believe that Rogue Adventures opened the door to this genre. Sure it was done before Joey Silvera came around to it, but he filmed it just right. Won awards for it, proving that there is a market and a sizable fan base. Since Joey, a lot of she-male titles have gotten better, most notably those from Gia Darling. I think that the first she-male Joey filmed was in his A Clock Strikes Bizarre on Butt Row? ---BIGmike, going and going and going since MCMLXXX--- |

I don't see any problem with this (liking porn puts us ALL IN A SEXUAL MINORITY;) its not my cup o tea, but to each their own. I only think its annoying when this stuff is put on so-called straight discs, because I don't wanna see it after paying 22.95 as much as a gay man or woman wouldn't want to see straight sex on a film they believed was gay. Oh, and Stasha looks like Kirk Douglas in Spartacus. |

John Stagliano himself worked with an extremely beautiful and feminine she-male in the controversial Buttman Confidential, yet, despite that, I don't consider John gay because he's not attracted to men who look like men. I guess you could say that he's bisexual, but I don't even think of him as bisexual in the truest sense. Pontus |

| Mythsong Member 306 Posts 8/02 | > why the concern over the penis size, etc? That doesn't necessarily imply anything. 1. A heterosexual still watches sex scenes between men and women. To take arguments of heterosexuality to the limit, any "real" man would only watch lesbian movies - because they wouldn't feel comfortable looking at a naked man. (I don't think that anybody could effectively argue that stance, I'm just pointing out the logical conclusion of the shemale/penis argument is that "if you're watching a penis you must not be truly heterosexual".) 2. Just because there's an attraction to a shemale's penis, doesn't in any way mean that the person has latent homosexual tendencies. (And I'm not saying that there's a problem with that if that is the case.) In addition to "reviews" of shemales talking about functional penises, they *also* talk about how feminine the shemale is. The more feminine *and* the more functional the penis, the more attraction there is. If it were purely a matter of latent homosexuality then "feminine looks" wouldn't be a key criterion. (And, regardless of justifications and intellectualization, your body simply reacts to what excites it. So if a more feminine shemale turns you on more than does a masculine shemale - or a guy - then it can't JUST be a matter of "excusing"/cloaking the desire.) 3. Why is there a need to pigeon-hole transgendered people into either a "male" or "female" role in the first place? They certainly don't want to be referred to in that way. In fact, many transgendered people (and I'm not just talking about so-called shemales) take active offence when people try to shove them into one or the other sex. I think that they should be considered on their own merits - as people first, just like all the rest of us, then as a distinct sexual category. 4. Even if there is no sexual attraction at all, there can still be aesthetic considerations. I'm certainly not sexually attracted to television sets, but if I buy one I'd rather have a large, widescreen, high definition set than an old 13" analog model from 20 years ago. Nobody wants to watch an adult video in which the actors are ugly (even accepting the subjectivity of "ugly"). So if you had to choose between watching Ron Jeremy and Peter North (even though neither one turned you on) which would it be? I'll bet that almost everyone would pick Peter North despite the fact that it has nothing to do with "latent homosexuality". 5. Finally, and related to the comment immediately above, would you rather watch a straight video with Lexington Steele or one with a guy with a 3" penis who can't get an erection or manage to ejaculate? On a more personal note, I'll chime in and say that I have absolutely no desire to experience a homosexual encounter, nor does watching homosexual sex do much of anything for me at all. But, despite my lack of interest in things homosexual (or bisexual), I do find shemales to be stimulating. (And, the more like a natural woman they appear, the more stimulating they are.) Therefore, it's not the "maleness" of shemales that I'm attracted to in any way, but the "femaleness" along with JUST the male sex organ. Put it on a guy and I'll stay away; put in on a woman and it's a different ballgame. (No pun intended!) Nor is it just because I'm "allowing" my "hidden" desires to come out and "justifying" them by the fact that a shemale is "essentially" a woman so it's "all right". | Mythsong Member 306 Posts 8/02 | > have 'become women', or women 'who have become men' The very few cases of post-op transgendered people in pornography consist entirely of men who have completed the transition to women. As of yet (as far as I know) there hasn't been a single instance of a female -> male actor on film. (The best known male -> female actor is Gina.) As for Rogue Adventures, I don't believe that they feature ANY post-op transgenders. (They would all be pre-op male-female actors.) |
| P-Knuckle Member 309 Posts 11/01 | If you enjoy watching a guy blow a cock on a shemale than its not heterosexual, as much as a female licking a vagina on a hermaphrodite with male features is not straight. If you enjoy cock, cool man! Go for it! Its like eating meat on tofu, your not being a vegetarian with this kinda meal no matter how much you talk about the tofu tasting good. Like I said, its a matter of taste.
is not an accurate statement, check out a title such as 'balder, fatter, uglier' and you get the picture even if you don't want to buy that picture. And if we could agree on what is 'beautiful' well, that would be a fun discussion too without much agreement.
Please tell me what being feminine is; or masculine. If I said women should sit at home, knit, and make babys, I hope I would get a verbal lashing. So too is the notion that because a shemale acts like what 'men' think women should act like, she then transcends into becoming a woman. This is the same as me acting like how I think any particular culture might be and then wondering why that culture doens't accept me. All I am saying is that shemales and being attracted to them is not heterosexual; which is fine. I don't know why people who are homosexual are so afraid to admit to being it. Just fess up, thats all I am saying... Edited by - P-Knuckle on 11/22/2002 4:34:38 PM |

But there is always, at least one "throw away/filler" scene in every she-male DVD. But I have no problems admitting I like it, so what? and I think Rogue Adventures 18 has a street date in December, second week(?), not sure, but in December.

I'd like to watch one just for the experience. As long as you realize that what you are saying (over and over) is merely an opinion and not a fact, no problem-o. I think it's quite clear that most guys who watch she-male movies are strictly heterosexual for the following obvious reasons: one, all of the lovers they've ever had in their life (including their wife or girlfriend) are 100% natural born females; two, although they get a sexual kick out of watching a very feminine-looking she male in a movie--that doesn't necessarily mean that they would actually have sex with a she male themselves if the opportunity presented itself. In some cases, it would probably be true, but I'm willing to bet that in most cases, it would not be true. To have something that is strictly a sexual fantasy doesn't define a person's sexual orientation, any more than fantasizing about raping a woman makes a man a rapist. The most that you could say is that a man who likes to watch she male porn is exhibiting homosexual tendancies, but you couldn't rightfully label that person a homosexual, any more than you could label a man who likes to watch rape-themed movies a rapist. I would agree that if a straight man actually had sex with a she male, then that experience would, by definition, be a homosexual act. But if apart from that experience, that man's sexual encounters were focused exclusively on natural born females, then I still wouldn't consider the guy to be gay. For example, I have a relative who, when she was in her early teens, had a sexual encounter with another girl her age. Apart from that one experience, all of her other lovers later in life (and she's had a great many) have all been men. Does that one encounter with another girl make her a lesbian? I don't THINK so. Even if she had had two or three encounters with another female (or four or five, for that matter), I still wouldn't think of her as a lesbian. This is why I don't think of John Stagliano as being either gay or bisexual, despite the fact that he has had a sexual encounter with a she male at least once. Of course, all of this is merely my opinion, just as your view is merely your opinion (which, there's no need to state yet AGAIN). Pontus

| lindi Senior Member 12345 3205 Posts 9/02 | Your sympathetic nervous system responds to shocking or threatening things with a jolt of adrenaline - a fight or flight response - increased heart rate, faster breathing, increased blood pressure and, as long as the perceived threat isn't too severe , an increase in potential for sexual arousal. That's the reason that it's more exciting to have sex in the choir loft at your church than it is at home in bed. She-males might not be a turn-on to anyone who does not find anything shocking or threatening about them. |
| ThighMaster Member 169 Posts 1/02 | I'm straight, and I have no desire to view a she-male feature. However, if I was horny, and the ONLY adult DVD I had was a she-male one, I'd pop it in and check it out. Now, I can say with absolute certainty, that I would ONLY get aroused if there was a scene where the she-male fucked a girl. To watch a she-male with a guy, which is apparently what most of these films are, that just seems gay to me. I hope I haven't offended anyone. I just wanted to say that, if someone is straight, I would ASSUME that they would want to see a female in the film, not two dicks. It just sounded strange when I read that most of the scenes include a man, yet this genre has a large heterosexual following. |

Here's the gist of the fantasy (and yes, it IS a fantasy): a real, honest-to-goodness woman (a woman in every conceivable way possible)--except with a penis. To make SURE you're understanding this concept, consider this example. Let's say that you just got married to a beautiful, natural-born female, who turns you on sexually more than any other woman that you have ever seen before in your life. And let's say that you made love to her passionately on your honeymoon, and she was everything that you ever wanted in a woman sexually. Now, let's say that, through some form of REAL magic, a wizard changed her sex organs from a vagina to a penis with testicles--but everything else about her was EXACTLY the same. She's the exact same woman as before (even with female chromosomes), but with a fully functional cock! THAT'S the she-male porn fantasy for straight guys. They're turned on more by a concept than by the actual she-males themselves. It's more of a mind-fuck than anything else. Pontus |

| menace Member Of all the fishes in the sea, the mermaid is the one for me! 410 Posts 6/02 | I actually saw a hermaphrodite when I was very young. I accidentally walked in on the neighbor girl bathing. Her brother saw my shock & explained it to me. She was female appearing in all respects, except she also had a penis. True hermaphrodites have both testes & ovaries, though the testes often never descend. Outwardly, there is both penis & vagina. Films about hermaphrodites were quite common in Stasha’s time. In most of her films, great care was taken to avoid getting a good close look at the genitalia. They wanted to maintain the illusion that she was a true hermaphrodite (& without a pussy, we’d know this was not the case). I’m sure there was then (& now) great curiosity regarding hermaphrodites. Stasha always gave oral & received anal from men. When you did happen to see the penis, it was rather small & flaccid. Edited by - menace on 11/24/2002 10:23:12 AM |

| Pontus Maximus Senior Member Man of Steel, meet your match. 1346 Posts 9/02 | I never saw The Crying Game, but do remember that it was very well received by critics in general. I do plan to rent that movie now. Once, a few years back, I did see a real-life hermaphrodite on a television talk show. This person looked and sounded just like a woman, but with the genitalia of both a man and a woman (her sex organs were not shown). I found the person very sexually attractive as a woman. Here are two questions that I would pose to myself: 1 - Would I have sex with a very beautiful and feminine she-male? Answer: NO. 2 - Would I have sex with that hermaphrodite that I saw on that television show? Answer: MAYBE. The reason that I might do it is that this situation would be the closest realization of the fantasy. Pontus |
| Phil Thee G Member USA 77 Posts 4/02 | I have viewed lots of porn. I have seen a few TGirl/She-Male movies. The only thing I can add to the conversation would be to explain what I like/dislike about this genre: Likes: Dislikes: (In order) TGirl/She-Male's dodging cum shots, some of them leaning their heads back so far to get away from the semen they look like they are going to dispense a PEZ candy. Ugly and/or non-passable TGirl/She-Males - i.e. five-o-clock shadow, big muscles, square jaw, etc. At least eighty percent of TGirl/She-Males fall into this category. TGirl/She-Male receiving oral from/penetrating a male participant (i.e. "gay action") - IMHO if you are going to watch this action you might as well go ahead and rent a full-bore homosexual movie.
-Sluts with Nuts (no "gay action" at all, most passable TGirl/She-Males, and some really cute genetic females) |
