Guys and girls, let me first say thank you very much for taking time to post in this thread. I wasn't expecting this many posts for a thread created by a newbie. I get the feeling Esperanza Gomez is done, which is a shame.

^ I think the problem stems from people's varying definitions of what "short-lived... careers" means.
Cody Lane, with a 6-7-year career and an IAFD listing of 110 titles, is definitely not a performer who had a "short-lived" career.
The problem with all polls of this type is that, too many posters fail to adhere to the qualifiers set out in the premise.
In this case, short-lived.
Personally, I tend to consider performers with 25 or fewer titles and/or that shot for less than 3-4 months (even though their scenes took a year or two to ultimately be released), to qualify in the "short-lived... careers" discussion.

Well, because she said she was done based on what sounds like a real serious event that was directly related to her. Past history has shown us the "big events" are what cause actual retirements versus the "I've grown" or "I have a new bf" type of comments. Given that she was primarily working for EA, probably the biggest porn company, and the event was related to the owner of the company somehow, based on her comment, I'd say she was serious. Most people don't play for the majors then go to the minors, they hang it up.

There are some bizarre entries in the lists above. Sophie Evans? Jane Darling? Short-lived? They only made a few hundred scenes each. I wonder who qualifies as "prolific" in that case.
I have a real good candidate for this list. Roxanne Blaze. This girl set porn on fire in 1993. I don't know how short-lived it has to be, but some stars who I didn't get to see enough of.
1)Jennifer Stewart, short career, scenes were with Vivid and didn't take full advantage of her assets.
2) Jamie Huxley. She did a lot of scenes, but didn't stay in the business long at all.
3) Jamie Reamz. did a handful of scenes and lasted a few months, but tall, blonde, and seemingly perfect.
4) Isabella Pacino, did a summer's worth of scenes then really did appear to go back to school.

Maybe Anabelle Chong, whose director (John T. Bone) said she's either make him rich or get him thrown in jail.
I don't know how truly remarkable she was, but Peaches does seem to have made an impression on quite a few people.
I think Shauna Grant, though a little cool in her performances, made a mark. She was as beautiful as any, and her breasts were simply perfect.
A lot of guys from my generation pine for Nancy Suit, as well.
Though too many girls come and go too quickly nowadays to be termed "remarkable," I'll second the nomination of Gigi Rivera. She just lit up the screen, seemingly effortlessly.
