I had never thought of this before, but now that you mention it...yeah, why aren't there more scenes shot in these settings, especially strip clubs? I know Dogfart Network has shot a couple scenes for their Gloryhole and Gloryhole Initiations sites in a strip club-like setting, with a stripper pole. But other than that, I really can't remember any porn scenes shot in "sleazy spots," as you call 'em.

Great idea. As I've discussed in other threads, I used to frequent the Times Square strip clubs, and had some pretty wild experiences there. The only porn scene I remember really living up to the fantasy were Jenna Haze's blowbang and glory hole in Jenna Haze Darkside.
GGG maestro John Thompson frequently has girls dancing/gyrating in the studio as a prelude to his scenes. Why doesn't he take this a step further and deck out his studio as a strip joint or, better still, go out on location to shoot in an actual strip club? There are strict laws prohibiting strippers from having sex with customers at strip clubs. And sex between strangers in sleazy locations is usually the result of prostitution, which again is illegal in most places in USA. Porn stars are getting paid for having sex, and if they start playing the roles of strippers and prostitutes in their porn films, then this might bring a government crack-down on them. Because some politicians will surely argue that there is no real difference between prostitutes and porn stars and try to apply the same rules to both. I agree that setting porn scenes in strip clubs, whore-houses, and adult porn stores would probably make the sex more hot. Because such sexual settings will naturally create sexual mood for the viewer and make the encounters between the guys and the ladies look more realistic and genuine. When the pretty lady sucks and fucks with guys like a real expert, then portraying her as an ordinary housewife or a secretary makes the whole scene look like a lie. Such unrealistic portrayal of the lady distracts the viewer and takes heat away from the scene. But porn makers need to protect their image and avoid associating themselves with illegal types of sex, and that's probably why they don't set their scenes in hyper-sexual settings, such as strip-clubs, whorehouses, and adult porn stores.

This post is silly. There are HUNDREDS of American porn scenes where the actress is a stripper and/or it takes place in a strip club. The FBI doesn't care about that. They are after "taboo" topics, such as rape, scat, and beastality.

Agree on all, and especially that point.. Spizoo seem to be focusing on fake strip club scenarios with some top porn names like Ava Addams, Romi Rain, Kendall Karson etc recently-but they are very glamorous. Isn't the real reason that it'd be more effort and greater risk to shoot in these locations? More exposure to legal problems when you're semi-public and passers-by could potentially sneak into the movie without signing a release, or people can just get randomly pissed off in reaction to seeing what's happening there and cause everyone grief. It'd involve new negotiations for new sites instead of using your existing locations, which would require several phone calls plus worries about permits and filing additional paperwork(?--I'm guessing), which would perhaps leave more of a pornographer footprint at city hall than you'd like, and I imagine that stripclub owners would make you pay a premium just like the strippers do when they try to charge more for the good stuff.
