Initial rumors have it being the Marilyn Manson/Swastika stunt…a fine example of a BAD PR move, but this is currently unclear. I’m hearing that Manson isn’t all that thrilled about her doing porn and he is largely behind it. Judging from her twitter activity of late, it seems like leaving DP has been on her mind for some time. Also, does anyone know where Stoya is moving to? On twitter she hints that it's not to L.A. She told NBC Philadelphia she'd give them an interview once she was back in the U.S. to correct their report, and said something else about not going to L.A. in another message. Personally, I'd love to see her leave DP and go do films with Burning Angel. She seems to be friends with Joanna, and working with BA would enable her to cultivate her creative, goth side. (That twitter thing can be pretty amusing. A few days back, Stoya mentioned going golfing, and Joanna said it would be funny to imagine Stoya's new "friend" (i.e., MM) playing golf. The punk swastika is a way to reject everything society holds sacred (and the swastika is probably the most sacred symbol, in the sense that it's so forbidden). You know, "democracies" think they can ride on some sort of high horse because they defeated the forces of "evil" 60+ years ago. But the Fascist structures are in place everywhere. Nazism was bureaucratic more than anything else. Little people just did their jobs day in and day out, without questioning anything, and it contributed to 12 million people getting executed. It's easy to see how that sort of thing could happen again, anywhere. That's what the punk usage of the swastika is trying to point out. Marilyn Manson is not a racist. Stoya is not, either.
