Hi gamecock78

Good luck!

Before my wife and I ventured into the swinging lifestyle, I tried so hard to locate a somewhat realistic movie from a swingers standpoint in the hope that it would prepare and make us more comfortable in case we decided to enter the lifestyle.

Very surprising I came up empty. There are movies made about every other imaginable subject. This was a few years back so maybe something's been created since then, but I doubt it. I'll keep an eye open.

Good luck

I'm still stuck on "Eye of the Beholder" from Wicked. Since it came out, I have sold like 20 copies to couples and guys looking for movies that "won't freak out the girlfriend."

Couples like some context. It does not have to be a Paul Thomas type plot. It can be a setup, a fantasy situation ranging from the mundate to the dangerous to something kinky, or something artistic that has style. Women usually love aesthetics, and it gives something for the couple to talk about.

I am not advocating going back to cheesy 80's storylines. Just give it some context and stay away from:

*dreaded gonzo director's black couch or warehouse
*really cool residences that are simply backdrops to two cocks popping out from nowhere for no reason
*stupid human tricks- being extreme just to see what the female body can take
*sit down interviews "so how old are you? when did you start having sex? Do you like sex? what brought you to the industry?"

etc.
Have your people call my people for a lunch date if you need more...

I just did a review of a pretty hot compilation disc "Loads of Fun" (Adam & Eve) Its already posted to be read. Its a very very good dvd..artistic wise as well as sex wise. A must see rental (I never suggest blind buying no matter how good anything is)

My suggestion is a porno version of Friends with Monica Sweetheart as Rachel,Anna George as Monica - not sure if Phoebe has a porno lookalike. With Phoebe working in a massage parlour & having a porno twin sister the possibilities are there.A bit of dubbing - as neither actress I mentioned sounds like their counterparts - & a director could have a cult classic on his hands - if done properly.

I think women do like aesthetics, yet a lot of directors think or assume they don't. I think directors assume women don't like to look at the guys bodies or their penises. Its true that some don't like seeing the body parts or the penis, but there seems to be a good percentage who do. If these companies are really serious about making adult films women can enjoy, and I'm not convinced they are or ever were, they are gonna have to start making films women can consistently enjoy. The women I talk to, just don't like what they see or get most of the time.

Jerome Tanner is often overlooked. His budget may keep him from blowing up cars & helicopters in his flicks, but if you're looking for funny story-driven features with hot chicks having fun sex, he's your man. Y'all should check out his latest The 5 People You Meet in Porn, as well as some of his classics - Vice Squad, Role Models #2, The News Girl. And, keep an eye out for The Da Vinci Load which I think Hustler is putting out soon.

I've always found Jerome Tanner very hot-or-miss, but I do think he tries to have a fun element to his films. True "Legend" doesn't give him the kind of budget that the "Digital Playgrounds" usually get though. Not convinced his films would appeal to many couples, but I think he's always worth a look. Lots of pretty and interesting girls in his films.

Following on this thought about the female perspective, has anyone seen any titles from Lennox Films or Inpulse Pictures? I've seen the some titles from them come into the Adult store I work in. From what I've read, they are woman-operated studios that address the female perpective by putting a bit more of the camera gaze on the male in the erotic scenes. It would be interesting to see if folks here consider them good for couples as well as for the female viewer:

InPulse titles:
VELVET THRUST
ERECTION SERVICES

Lennox titles:
EVAN-ESSENCE
RANCH HOUSE LUST

I highly recommend "The Playgirl" with Samantha Fox, Veronica Hart and R. Bolla.

It's set in New York's publishing circles and follows the story of frumpy editorial assistant Samantha and her crusade to bed her editor and hero Bolla. Veronica Hart is the liberated jet-setter Bolla's got his rock set to and she's everything Samantha isn't: Worldly, confident, daring.

Does Samantha get her man? Tune in and find out!

I haven't seen them, but I'd have to be skeptical from the very limited info. I've since seen on them. I suppose women could be interested on seeing the guys get more focused on, but not sure it'd mean much if there wasn't some sense of real chemistry, arousal, and a connection to back it up. I couldn't even find the Lennox films anywhere, although I haven't searched this site for them yet. They don't appear to be gettin widely distributed, which may be a problem in and of itself.

Hey there ...I found this site looking for more info on the couples genre movie " My Dinner With Andrea " . Its been awhile since I have seen it , and I believe it was the late 80s . I thought it was nice. I never got the chance to see " I Do, Do You ?" There was another film I wanted to check out , I believe the title was " The Swap "

As for storylines I would like to see played out ...

Lucky Linda = an average woman womens a mega lottery and moves into a mansion and along with her best friend , they discover the special lifestyle of their rich friends

Seven Nights of The Incubus = A woman discovers erotic passion with an incubus seven times...will she go with him after the seventh time

I Marrried A Spaceman = An astronaut is taken over by an alien lifeform

There's a NY-based outfit called Redlight Interactive (aka Stella Films) that's put out good, erotic, sometimes edgy porn that's not demeaning to chicks, i.e., it's couples friendly. I've watched one of their DVDs and it's good stuff. This seems to be an under the radar company so I'm going to try to mention them more, maybe hear from some of their fans and/or generate some interest.

Well I'm gonna give them a try. I like watching new and hopefully different stuff sometimes. Since they aren't widely distributed, I had to settle a little and couldn't get what I really wanted. Didn't recognize anybody in their films, which isn't always a bad thing, but no way was I going to buy anything so unproven. This was a rental. Not convinced I'm gonna see anything much different, but my mind is open. I'll let you know what I think once I've viewed it.

I'm starting to get into features again. I still like the raw chemistry of well-done gonzo, but with such little free time now, I want entertainment as well as sexuality. There aren't enough hours in my week to watch a Hollywood comedy plus a porno, so I've been renting comedy porn.

Finally saw Space Nuts. Well worth the wait. Hilarious. I'm going through reviews now to see what else is good. We have limited selection where I work, but I'm sure I'll find some gems amongst the crap.

Well when it comes to sex & comedy, I don't think they get much better than Jonathan Morgan. Cash Markman kind of does a lot of comedies also. From the gonzo side, I've heard good things about Stoney Curtis. I've only seen his older stuff though. Found it very amusing and quite hot at the same time. Jerome Tanner's films are rarely that serious too.

Although the story is a bit lost in the sex, a few titles from Marc Dorcel are actually pretty good (sexy, hot, good looking models) if you like the whole school girl uniform thing (oh yeah).

Try Russian Institute 4 and 6. They seem to be the best ones. Made my night a bit more exciting if you know what I mean.

The people who like MARIE & JACK and our other movies tend to like them very very much. I think the people who don't like them (hey, no one's everyone's favorite) seem perplexed by our films and wonder what the fuss is all about.

You can "check out" both MARIE & JACK and XANA & DAX in episodic form in our Comstock Films Video Podcast. It's a great way to try before you buy.

This idea of "couples-friendly porn' is absurd to me. Why cant couples watch gonzo porn? What is couples porn? Porn which shows gentle loving marriages? Its absurd. You watch porn to get excited and get off. Why does porn have to have an emotional and intellectual stimulus? Its completely absurd to me, this notion of "couples porn."

Hello Everyone,
I am new to this board, but I thought that I would make my first post on this topic. I am pushing 40 years old and I am very happily married. It is my opinion that women prefer a good story to bizarre sexual acts. I am also a big fan of shot on film erotica, but I understand that plot driven movies are not for everyone (including the ladies).
Although some of the titles may have been mentioned before, the following are my recommendations for couples films:
1. Nothing To Hide - The story and acting are almost legit. This film even received 2 stars in the OnSat TV guide while it was playing on AmericanXXXtasy on the big dish. Oh, to be young again.
2. Charli - Plot driven story about a couple's struggle to make their relationship work.
3. Devil In Ms. Jones 2 - The funny parts are actually funny. The sex scenes are hot.
4. Talk Dirty To Me - My wife LOVES this movie. Although the title depicts foul-mouthed women, this film merely presents women that are not shy about what they need to be satisfied.
5. Insatiable - Yes, there is anal, and facials in the film. There is also the pool table scene where Marilyn is ravaged by the gardener. Even though this scene can be viewed as a "rape" scene, it is done well enough to let most viewers decide if it is non-consensual.
6. The Opening Of Misty Beethoven - Best Porn Ever.
7. Zazel- Outstanding photography and some wild action.

I agree with tittysucker. Porn for couples is not meant to be plot heavy, gently sex, blah blah blah.
To me, porn for couples should just be void of all the "Extreme" stuff, such as gapping anuses, cum fart cocktails, back to back to back scenes of girl girl, then a solo scene of girl, ATM, rape, creampies, bukkake, etc...
Woman AND men want to see action, lots of closeups, equal parts male and female, good cum shots. We want to watch porn to get out juices flowing, if plot is needed, go to blockbuster, we want action.

My wife and I have a few favorites, we usually go by directors we like:
Andrew Blake's Secrets, Night Trips
Cameron Grant's Dinner Party, Fantasy Chamber, Erotic Visions, Passion In Venice, Elements Of Desire
One that she really likes is a Fun With Vibrators And Toys video that we got through Adam & Eve. It's almost an infomercial with couples being shown a series of toys then going home to try them and describing their experiences to the 'host.' They're obviously not true amateurs, but is has that kind of feel to it.
Beyond that it's hard to tell what we'll both like. We tried a few of the big budget Private films like Gladiator and Pirates, but they didn't really do anything for us.

You agree that couples porn is absurd? Why do you then say -
I have never seen a porn film that didn't have at least one scene or a part of a scene that didn't have 'Extreme' stuff. My solution is to edit (filter) out those parts (that I consider extreme). Often whole scenes.
I often edit the 'pop shot' when it's too long and, in effect, becomes a prolonged male masturbation. Who (male or female) wants to watch I guy stroke himself for 30 seconds plus?
I have seen some porn films that didn't require very much editing. A favorite is "Tangerine."
I also think you need to have some sort of story line to 'set-up' the scenes. Admittedly not much, but some. I have also edited long narrations when I thought they detract from the eroticism.
An example - I recently edited the bar scene in "Blonde Heat" that involved the lead and two other actors and went on for 15 minutes. I chopped it down to 7 minutes (which incidentally is about the average length of a 'sex scene' once you remove anything extreme.
I've also edited scenes that have too many camera angle changes.
The problem, of course, is the definition of 'extreme.' It's a very personal thing. So much so that I doubt any film would satisfy (pardon the pun) enough viewers to make a profit from sales.
There are too many variables (IMHO) to be able to put into a film those things that 'turn on' both men and women and leave out all those things that 'turn them off.'
I'd like to hear what others on this forum consider extreme.
In addition to the things that porn4couples mentioned I would add -
orgies, S&M (even when it's comical), what I refer to as 'butts and balls', women kissing each other and gang-bangs, to name a few.
Anyone else want to name a few?

This is the female half chiming in on this thread. It sounds as though some of you guys really need to learn more about what makes us women tick or purrrr. Saying "couples porn is absurd" is absurd! For all the gonzo cavemen who don't know this, we women are from a different planet than you. What do we want to see in a movie? Romance and people that seem to care for each other. Most of us don't care to see choking, slapping, and roughing up the women in the scenes. Nor do we wish to see cumfarts or gaping assholes big enough to stick your head into. And yea we want to see the male in his entirety, including his face. A scene made up of close-ups of body parts doesn't do it for us. A little story line or theme is a bonus as well. Lets face it, most gonzo porn is made for and watched by guys who think women should be drug around by their hair. Their is a certain mentality that goes along with most gonzo porn. No... couples porn is not absurd! It is kinder and more caring type of porn. This is what turns us on.

ok....from my little experience having a girlfriend...they all say sense of humor is what they look for....sooooo....get Wicked's "Carmen Goes South". It's funny as shit and has some decent sex to boot. That is the first movie I will show a girlfriend (when i get one) that actually would like to watch porn with me....I could be waiting a long time though brother! The good thing about NOT having a girlfriend though is that i can afford a 60" Plasma HDTV with surround sound and a great laz-e-boy to watch all my favorite shit.

Maybe I've just been hooking up with the wrong ladies, but every woman I've watched porno with is as bored by plot-driven stuff as I am. They've just wanted some good screwin' that's not disrespectful to women.

Wife and I really enjoyed "Pirates"
Older Andrew Blake movies like Secrets, Night Trips 1 and 2,
House of Dreams, Hidden Obsessions
Seems like AB just does lesbian flicks now, too boring for even me to watch.
Some Jenna Jameson movies are good.
I will have to check out some of the recommendations from this topic.

To Kirby,
I hope so. Not only that, but porn production is typically bad enough without the director trying to add humor as well. What a turn off.

To Meatball,
I dunno. All my girlfriend personally have thought that the over long sex scenes is what bores them, not the five minutes of plot in between.
To Dux,
I personally find humor a great diversion in porn. Isn't it nice to have something besides the old "in and out" once in a while?

To Corey:
Sure is nice to have something besides the old in out once in a while. But humor in porn to me takes any possible realism out of it and is a big deflater. Remember that movie Hollow Man? Now if they were to remake that with a few hard core scenes where he sneaks into her apartment and messes with her, and she ends up enjoying her invisible guest, that would be hot. I can invision plenty of good scenes leading up to that where the Hollow Man is hiding in her apartment after learning her schedule. Watching her do things with herself and boyfriend. Voyeur candy.

My wife and I share the same tastes I guess when it comes to porn for the most part, she likes gaping assholes if it is done well. What she doesn't like is spitting and choking, but ass to mouth is the BIGGEST turn off for her, she just says "That is fucking gross." And if she was excited at all, she lost every ounce of excitement she had when she see's a scene that has ass to mouth.

In its most general sense, "couples porn" means any genre of porn that a particular couple prefers as its preamble to sex. Different feelings call for different explicit material and some moods are more gonzoid while some feel feature-y. Porn serves the needs of the couple and most couples will find their way to the stuff that works best for them.
Over my time in porn I've talked to a lot of fans and i the feedback I get from couples is split pretty evenly between those women and men who prefer at least a bit of a set up for the sex and those who are comfortable with just hot fucking by attractive people who don't seem to hate each other, being capable of providing their own back story to the action.
Lots of good suggestions here. Andrew Blake has always been a hit with the ladies. Never overlook Candida Royalle's Femme line. She's the original and best her movies actually say something and have an opinion about sex and society, and the sex takes place in context. As with any good movie each scene, the sex ones included, both advance the plot and develop the characters. With a Femme production you know that a woman wrote, directed, produced, edited and cast the movie. This fact will help some women relax enough to let the sex happen. Her vision is passionate, with very little anal or group sex. Single B/G is her speciality.
An excellent current release, in terms of smoothly combining hot, D/s inspired sex with intelligent, adult story telling, is Adam&Eve's "The Surrender of O," known also as "O2." You can check out the full reviews of it in the review section, but this is good smut and I'm not saying that just because I'm in it. Starting with the lead, Bree Olson, the women are all into the sex, are smart, pretty and nasty. The men are good looking and perform well and the sex manages to be hot, romantic and kinky all at the same time.
Anything directed by Gerard Daminao. He loved sex and women and making movies and was a joy to work with. His comedies are better than anything that's come along since and I had the pleasure of working with him twice. Both titles, "Young Girls in Tight Jeans," and "Splendor in the Ass," are '80's classics. An added bonus for the ladies: Peter North at his best: young, studly and full of come.

Pirates II
This is a fantastic movie to watch as a couple. The story is solid and the character development is strong. We really got to know and feel for the characters, so when they have sex it's not just about the act and the beauty of the performers but we get to understand why they fuck the way they do and accept it.
I watched a few porn titles with my girlfriend and Pirates II was the only one where she wanted to rewind and watch the lesbian scene again and I wanted to pay more attention to the action and the story.
Now she wants to see Pirates 1 and more movies like it.

Don't overlook the porn parodies directed by Will Ryder. Hot sex, comedy and familiarity with the original show are a great way to break "her" in gently if you want your g/f wife to enjoy watching porn with you and she is a little on the shy side.
I LOVED the Not the Bradys XXX and Not Bewitched XXX.
Also Wicked's Fallen is a fantastic romantic drama with real life couple Brad Armstrong and jessica Drake as the starring lovers.

Judging by all the different interpretations of what "couples" want, I think it's a safe bet to say it depends on the couple. It's also pretty clear that when people say "couple," they really mean the woman in the couple, assuming that it's always the woman who is shy or in need of "breaking in" as someone so delicately put it. I don't think we should overlook what the man in the couple wants, as there are plenty of men out there who have particular tastes also (and, lest we forget, there are plenty of couples out there who are not heterosexual).
That said, I think movies for couples should simply be fun and passionate, regardless of ostensible genre (it doesn't have to be a feature, it doesn't have to be labeled "couples"), though in my opinion features tend to be the most fun to hang out together and watch.
My recommendations:
Camp Cuddly Pines Power Tool Massacre
The One (someone suggested this for Valentines Day - great idea!)
Pirates
Pussy Cats (and its sequels)
I also thought Cry Wolf was pretty fantastic.

So did I. The cinematography (by Ralph Parfait) was really excellent and I liked how the story was not at all that it appeared to be. The ending was a bit abrupt, but I didn't mind it. Still somewhat sex heavy for my taste (the middle third), but overall a very good film.

Yeah, I totally agree about the cinematography. I'm writing an article about Cry Wolf at the moment, so have been trying to find customer reviews but there is a strange lack of them. None of the "pro" reviews seem to address the complexities of the narrative either - I think the film stands out as different from many films being made at the moment in the sense that not all the sex scenes are designed solely for arousal (some are rather unpleasant). Reminds me of how things were often done in the 70s, where the sex was less formulaic, and examples of "bad" sex could be a part of the movie.
