The "Add To Forum Post" button in the Link Builder does not seem to work. It builds the link, but I had to copy & paste the result into the post (two links).

In the files and photos section of my profile, I can't get a preview to display of any of my photos (except in one really old subfolder that only has 3 photos in it).
Having trouble again trying to access the forums but can get into other sections of the site"new releases" etc Not sure if it's an error but in the New Reviews section Bono One's Bounce 2 is listed twice.
In one thread i can see just 2 of the 3 boxes that allow you to e-mail an adt member and quote a post with the edit post function missing on a few posts but further down the thread all 3 boxes are available to use. Link to thread
^Some time ago Drew got sick of people being able to edit their own posts that they made years ago (and thus bumping the old thread without actually contributing anything new) and he instituted a time limit for being able to edit one of your own posts. I'm not sure how long it is exactly, but clearly the older posts in that thread, from March 2010, have exceeded that time limit. The event that made Drew make that decision was that one night someone who hadn't posted in several years decided to go back and delete all of their posts at once. And so dozens of long dormant threads got bumped, not by any new discussion, but by someone trying to remove the record of their own involvement in the threads several years before.
We frequently get requests from people that are applying for jobs as school teachers or priests that have posted on this site in the past 10 years using their real names. They want us to remove all evidence that they were once active on a porn site. I think they should suffer for their sins. Edited by - Drew Black on 5/5/2011 12:10:08 PM
The main website is running on a different server than the forum. When you upload an avatar it's still going to the old server so you won't see it on the forum. I manually copied the avatars yesterday. Any that had been uploaded since 5/22 were copied to the forum server. Our internet service has been out for over a week. I am posting from a local cafe. When we get internet access again I will complete the server move and these avatar issues will go away.

I'll keep checking, to see if I can upload a new avatar. If not, I'll just post without one. Having an avatar isn't a big deal to me. Log-off is different now. When I log-off, I'll get a white screen with the word "here" in the upper left hand corner. When I check to see if I've really logged-off, I'm still logged-in. When I make a second attempt to log-off, it works. Edited by - dogzcatcher on 6/6/2011 5:15:21 AM
The log off is due to the 50% completed server transition too. That "here" is a piece of debugging I haven't been able to address. It's difficult to do any "real" development work from the cafe on my notebook computer.
I wish life was that simple. I can do many things from the phone but server maintenance and development is a little too cumbersome, even on an Android OS phone.
Not this time. It was lightning damage but apparently the locals are so incompetent that they had to bring in subcontractors to figure out the extent of the damage. 12 days due to lightning. It's a fucking moron-a-thon around here.
And the added fun with lighting is that it frequently lets some things go for six months or so and then they'll burn out... "I do not as a rule seek advice about food from thin people..." - Jeffrey Steingarten

I can change my avatar too! Thanks Drew, I appreciate the work you and Steph do for this website. There's a good bunch of people who post on this board. Edited by - dogzcatcher on 6/10/2011 12:15:57 AM
