Hi, Need help. All of a sudden, when I go to watch a sample clip or trailer, what I am getting is a green rectangle that takes two steps to buffer, the gives me sound, but no picture. Please note that this does not happen ALL the time, but most of the time. Can anyone help?

What browser are you using? Are all required media plug-ins current?

I'm using Firefox- I think the latest- I downloaded it in Feb., but this is the first time I've encountered this.

Just got it fixed by using a restore point to yesterday. WTF was it?

Most of the trailers use Quicktime plugins. Can be a real resource hog at times. I wouldn't want to speculate further without more details.

I have firefox and I've noticed that sometimes when a video loads the screen stays green for a second then the picture appears in blocks until the entire video screen is present. If I reload the page it starts out fine.

I should add that I've only had the problem in 3.0.10 which seems buggy.

i think it's because you don't have the newest Quicktime plugins.

I think it definitely is a Quick Time issue. I have QT Pro so I always pause the vid, then save it to watch direct from HD and have seen this occur as well then.

it's happened once or twice to me when using quicktime. it'll say that you need a new plugin, but it just gives you a link to the QT website and doesn't say what plugin or what it's name is or anything, so it's kinda hard to update it. I'm not too good with plugins.
