For the last eight months or more, when I try to join a major online book club that I have previously belonged to, the webpage tells me that my credit card number is invalid. I called the book club and they purged all my old info, but the website still gives me the 'invalid' message. Then yesterday I tried to order from a reputable site in Britain, and it repeatedly told me that the credit card number contained non-numerical characters, and to re-enter the number. An email to them yesterday (after their closing time) has still not been answered. I also tried my husband's credit card, and got the same error message. Does anybody know what causes this? [Link] |

It is 'impossible' to get in the U.S. (not at amazon, not on eBay, not at Barnes & Noble... Why the fuck don't they either limit the credit card info to 16 digits or tell people no spaces? Other websites do, or they accept the spaces. Man, I want that book, but things look bleak. [Link] |
