This is also why its important for feature companies to shoot both soft and hardcore versions of their movies and have some Euro deal in place. If a company spends 10k on a gonzo production and sell 3,000 units at 8 to 10 dollars a pop they are still turning a profit. But this is also why it is difficult to be a producer/director who owns their product. It takes awhile for you to start actually making serious money.
