I didn't vote for him and nether did democrats, but Libertarians did.
They believe that tax cut shit. Unless you are very wealthy you got shit for a tax cut. And states, counties, and cities all have raised taxes.

Your over all tax bill is 3 times higher with Bush, than it was under Clinton.

And he's not even paying the bills. He's running the country on credit.

Most of our taxes are spent on programs enacted by democrats. Democrats could work for lower government-spending if they really wanted Libertarian votes.
In the 90's I dated a Democrat who's father was in Clinton's cabinet. She claimed to be a feminist, but she believed that prostitutes should be arrested. The Libertarian party specifically calls for the decriminalization of prostitution, and Libertarian feminists have no problem with porn.

I agree with you more financial responsibility is needed. But that should be dealt with at the congressional level. Bill Clinton was most financial responsible President we ever had. Regan tripled the national debt, Bush Sr gave us the highest tax increase in history. And squandered the money and didn’t even pay down our national debt. Oh and he forgot to tax his friends in that tax increase. Clinton came in raised taxes on the ones Bush Sr forgot. Paid off our national dept and kept our social services in tact.

This not India or Pakistan we are not going to let people stave on the street. We will feed them and give them a place to live. We will educate their kids.

As for as prostitution and porn judges that believe in individual rights will give us that.

You have a nice day

Here in NL, we always see interviews in the news,
US people are awaiting Miss Clinton taking over the presidency, and then all will be good.

I think this is a narrow-minded view. First, the incompetent Mr.Bush still has his followers. And I have read an interview with a spokesmen from the christian right,
that said, they all were dissatisfied, because Bushs policy
was too liberal and wasnt supporting the religous branch enough.

The Democrats arent liberals. Can you remember Miss Gores
( Tipper Gore ) crusade against porn ?

I remember Tipper Gore going after violence in video games and music aimed at kids. I don't remember her going after porn.

I seen a lot less of that family on TV ever since her husband ran for President on a campaign to increase government-spending, and was defeated and laughed at by everyone, even Libertarians. Tipper co-founded the PMRC, whose target was musical lyrics. It went after violent lyrics but also "sexually explicit" lyrics, which the PMRC holds responsible for teen pregnancy. The formation of the PMRC began in 1984 after Tipper heard Prince's song "Darling Nikki," which has nothing to do with violence.

The Gores attend a Baptist church, discourage sexual promiscuity in their own children, encourage praying before bedtime, and babble about using the Government to impose their "family-values" on the rest of us. In the U.S., even 'liberal' Christian sects tend to condemn sexual promiscuity.

The Democrats are liberal in their desire to restrict free-trade. The Libertarians want trade left free, so they get likened to conservatives; but Libertarians are very strong on civil liberties, including sexual freedom, prostitution, and free speech, despite condemndation from Christian Democrats.

Give me a break here. Everyone knows Al Gore won the election. And if that dumb ass Ralph Nader and the green party had any sense it wouldn’t have been close.

Everyone in the industrialized world pays taxes, most pay more than we do.

No one you elect is going to end taxes.

And no one is going to vote Libertarian on pro porn alone

It's not just porn, it's the whole question of whether sex (outside of Christian marriage) debases women. The Democrats' answer was a Baptist who believes it does.

A Baptist that puts his personnel beliefs a side and supports the constitution.

The committee Tipper Gore formed was Parents Music Resource Center

As a method of combating this alleged problem, the PMRC suggested a voluntary move by the RIAA and the music industry to develop "guidelines and/or a rating system" similar to the MPAA film rating system. Additional suggestions from the PMRC that appeared in an article in the Washington Post included: printing warnings and lyrics on album covers, forcing record stores to put albums with explicit covers under the counters

It was to inform parents and ask the music industry to voluntarily regulate it self. No laws were passed or purposed.

Face it dude your going to have to pay your taxes.

Face that I'm paying them to George Bush and not to the communist who lost.
A Baptist who condones the persecution of prostitutes. Only the Libertarians are working to codify sexual freedom, and you don't have to worry about Libertarians selling out to socialist Christians.
She didn't need new laws, since obscenity was already outlawed and undefined.

18 should be the age. If it goes lower say 16 or 17 which is the age of consent in most countries then suddenly youve created a pandora's box, people will come and say they were pushed into it. Parents will be blamed and suddenly the whole industry comes under the microscope.

Had I known this in high school I would have lobbied my parents for participation in foreign exchange programs much stronger.

I believe the score is 40-40 between Shagdog and Thomas D.C. but I lost track of who is serving.

Kind of like it is right now. The age won’t come down till society changes its attitude about sex and who can legally participate.

The religious right wants laws prohibiting all sex except for propagation. Some in the feminist movement viewed sex as another case of women submitting to men and wanted that stopped.

As the archaic laws prohibiting sex were ruled unconstitutional and unenforceable the religious right wanted new laws, to have their views in laws.

Some in the feminist movement wanted laws prohibiting as they saw it as women being forced to submit to sex.

These two groups formed a very strange partnership. The religious right believes the bible gives men domination rights over women in all things. The feminist movement and these men are archenemies.

When they failed on having their perverted views enacted in to law they turned to age of consents laws.

Now you have feminist screaming child rape even if it’s consensual sex between 17 and 19 yr olds.

One thing the religious right prefers younger brides and are among the worst violators of all sex laws.

Now the witch-hunt for child molesters is in full swing. The prisons are already full of drug addicts and the numbers on the sex offender’s list is staggering.

I have heard some talk show host start to wonder out loud if this is what we really want to do. So at some point it will come down

That is what the Bible says when it's being enforced by socialists too.
The religious-left wants that too. A Democratic Christian is no less perverted than a Republican one.

I believe its my serve. And I’ve shut him out of the match. He has made no valid points or even told the truth.
Prostitution laws are enacted by the states not the federal government. You will never elect a pro prostitution candidate so drop it. It a losing argument.

And Libertarians already sold out to socialist Christian when they and you voted for Bush.

And the only music prosecutions were by Jeb Bush in Florida. Under laws enacted by Reagan. The only porn prosecutions were under Bush.

Remember them the neo-conservatives you sold out too.

I think that match.

Thank you. This guy is just repeating himself. I apologize to the board but I just couldn’t let this political propagandist spam this board with this nonsense. Even if it meant getting banned I had to respond.

We're all adults, Shagdog. We don't need you to save us from anybody else's point of view. Feel free to start your own thread (in WN&N) if you want to talk politics.

caroline-NL, as you can see from the PMRC, the Democrats welcome mysoginistic, sex-hating religious nuts like the Gores to their highest ranks, as it gets them votes from socialists. The Democratic party has been subverted by mysoginists condoning the persecution of prostitutes, and most Democrats would rather chant slogans than protect the right of women to have sex outside Christian marriage.

We had a 16 year minimum age in NL, until 1th Oct.2003.
I know only one case, were a mother blamed the directors,
that her daughter was convinced ( with money ).
But it wasnt. The mother just disliked porn.
But 16-year olds were adults here before 1th Oct.03
So they could sign everything, only a few rights were given at 18 ( driving cars, founding a company, playing in VERY hardcore porn, like hard SM, rape movies, animal porn etc.)

I have no problem with being under the microscope; the anti-sex people have more to hide.
