| HeyNow Oblivious Gold Star Hey! 5965 Posts 1/03 | I use Word to type up my Quickie Review posts and this last time I saw ADT wasn't taking the "special" characters that Word creates like the apostrophe in I'm, the hyphen that I use - like that one and I'd think the right and left "quotes". TEST: I’m A long – dash! “quote” END TEST They show up fine in my message box but not in the preview. It used to take these - though one time when the Weekly Fix used a portion of the Quickies it replaced these type characters with a box, at least in my email. My fix so far as been to edit within the message entry box. I can't find an option in Word to disable these and just give me a pure quote, apostrophe or a hyphen. Even plain vanilla courier changes them. (I can't believe I'm posting in Tech Talk!) [Link] |

If you type something in Word and try to open it in wordpad or notepad, usually you see hash. If you keep it simple, it's usually readable but some characters will change. |
