Windows media player can save as m3u or wpl files. What are the advantages or disadvantages of the different types. I also use an old program called m3uedit, which only works with m3u files, and only creates and edits them, no playback.  [Link] |
| Proxy Member 38 Posts 5/09 | Posted - May 17 2009 : 10:16PM m3u is a glorified text file...then again so is anything in XML :^) I think technically the m3u is fairly "compact" and excellent for a single point streaming file. xspf is the "open" version of the above (as in both) "supposedly" with all the benefits of the above with no "drawbacks". Maybe that is true, maybe it isn't...well it is sort of true...it works well across platforms...and there are plenty of free list makers for that format.  [Link] |
