Recently, though, I've found it to be buggy, especially when I'm using it to download stuff. And the "Down-them-All" add-on to Firefox has been buggy, too. Opera is really fast generally and is a stable downloading tool. It also has a unique optional mode called "turbo" which, when enabled, compresses page information to further increase speed in navigation. It allows you to trade off between the quickness with which pages load and the detail/quality in which pages are rendered, which can sometimes be useful. I don't care for the look and feel of Google at all. These days I'm using a combination of Firefox and Opera, each for the tasks that I think they do best. [Link] |

For all its speed, Opera 10.5x still has too many bugs, annoyances and stability issues to replace it. I keep Chrome installed for the occasional site that doesn't load properly in Opera. *Has anyone ever noticed that you can't write Jav*Script in this forum?
