When did Shane relinquish control of ShanesWorld Production? Specifically what was the last video that she produced/directed/starred in before she stopped being a part of ShanesWorld?
Sorry i havn't been able to find my password for weeks ... and couldn't figure out which email was attached to it.
Shane sold the company about 8 years ago and stopped appearing in movies pretty quickly into the process. She was an active part of the company until Shane's World 19.
I used to like the Slumber Party series, even though lighting and camerawork were often not good. two scenes still get me: Vanity (Texas) and Lola and a three way w/Halli Aston, Charlene Aspen and Lee.
I remember the Slumber Party series. I saw Belladonna & Jenna Haze together for the first time in the first Slumber Party and it blew my mind! I haven't followed the Shane's World title much since like # 8, but still holding out hope for Shane to return
According to Shane, they weren't supposed to continue ths Shane's World series. They were supposed to just continue using the company name. She claimed that, because the other series' that they were releasing at the time, such as Pornological, weren't selling well, they decided to continue the Shane's World series anyway.
Given that the company credited Shane as the director in those first few volumes of Shane's World after she left, even though she had nothing to do with those volumes or the company anymore, I tend to believe Shane's story.

Shane was the first of Seymore Butts' featured girls. She made a series of movies with him; then, after they broke up, she went out on her own and started the Shane's World series. She eventually married some musician dude and eased out of porn. Besides being hot and a good performer, she had one of the most charming, engaging personalities of any girl that ever did porn.
The company kept the name because it is exactly the same company, except Shane. The people from volume 1 ... are still here. What the brand has always stood for is unscripted fun sex ... which is still the same.
The first title after she left was Shane's World 19 and it was always intended to be the first title after she left. When Shane left she originally never intended to come back into the business ... but then she changed her mind, which she has done a few more times.
The company has always been about what the brand stands for ... good sex and fun times! She was just the original spokes model for that.
All I know is, I miss that opening sequence back when Shane was still onboard. Sure, it was a total rip of The Kids in the Hall, but it made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
Um, actually, now that I think about it, I haven't seen a Shane's World title in quite some time. They have stopped showing that opening... right?
