I also wonder how many people on here are actually going to the AEE. I will be there Tuesday thru Saturday. Flight booked (weeks ago),hotel booked, 4 day VIP ticket purchased.

| bigjigglies Member 634 Posts 1/12 | [/quote] Question --- If ladies are NOT posting anything about attending AVN how are we supposed to post anything ?
I have spent A LOT of time reaching out to the girls on social media asking about attending and signing. Trying to be active instead of passive. I've been going since 1991 |

| pito05 Member BROOKLYN nyc 508 Posts 9/06 | We don't go every year, but been attending AEE on and off since 2003. I've noticed some years have more, some years less, and it usually is last minute before you get a more complete list, and even then there are still some surprises on the floor once you get there. Never thought I'd see the day, but this is the year I'm finally going to avoid the buffets. Breakfast is now hitting $50 for the privilege of eating last night's leftovers with your eggs, and dinner hitting 70-80? Nah, just not worth it anymore. I get prices are up for everything, but that's something next level. And the resort fee is a total crock on the hotels- you're not offering these "great ammenities" if you're gonna slap a $40 charge per night on the room for them. But this too is becoming the norm. And as for the show floor itself, an increasing number of girls are charging for autos and pics. I stopped getting autographs years ago, since they just sit in the bag buried in the closet anyway, but the pics... The first time I got charged was 2013, and back then it was just a handful of girls asking for $5. Now it's about 20, and exxotica can see people asking for 30-40. Wouldn't mind as much if the entry fee also wasn't skyrocketing. And I also don't mind if it's one of my favs, but for someone I'm just kind of into, it's getting steep. Back to navigating the floor, something I've though of for a while, they should really put some kind of timer, especially for girls with longer lines. You got some stuff you want signed? Want to chat? Cool- you get 2-3 minutes. Time up and you want more, get back in line. This will keep lines moving, definitely help with crowd control, and get rid of those people up there 10-12 minutes telling their life story. Those of you who have been to the show before undoubtedly know what I'm talking about. Anyway, don't mean to rant, but those are my views and experiences with this. If anyone has similar experiences or ideas... |
| BJTalentSearch Deactivated User 91 Posts 9/07 | Personally, one of the things I enjoy the most is reading about other fans' experiences with the conventions. I have never been to one, so the "behind the scenes" accounts are simply fascinating to me. I just read pito05's post from earlier today. Very enlightening. It would be greatly appreciated if he, or anyone else, can answer this question for me. What are the main differences (pros/cons) between AVN, Exxxotica, and X 3? I hope to attend one of these shows next year, and would like to make my decision based on information that is provided. A friend of mine attended AVN last year and had an issue with security. Apparently he spent a bit too much time with one of the ladies (accidently) and was physically removed from the line. Is that something that typically happens ? Is security actually allowed to do that ? I'm really curious about this, especially if it was an honest mistake. Obviously there are dawdlers or fans that bring like 40 photos to get signed.....those are the people who I think should be moved along, to give everyone in line a fair chance. Besides Violet Myers, Riley Reid, and Angela White - what girls usually have the longest lines of fans (and how long are the wait times) ? Lastly, do these shows publish some kind of program or floor-plan so fans know in advance where the heck their favorite stars are ? If not, it seems to me like it must just be a free-for-all type atmosphere (which would be a shame, when I would think it can be easily handled in an neat, orderly fashion). |

| bigjigglies Member 634 Posts 1/12 | The difference between the shows is (in my opinion) AVN/AEE is the Super Bowl of porn shows. X3 (I have never gone) but have been told it is all business. All girls charge. Exxxoticas are like local area shows, all are different but still the same. Mostly the same girls at each. Ranking them in order I would say NJ #1, better lineup because girls get hired to dance in NYC clubs. #2 Miami, #3 Chicago, #4 DC. The only time I have seen or heard of security removing a fan is when a girl complains that they got to "handsy" or tried to not pay for what they were getting. The three you mentioned have the longest lines. Usually lines can last 5-15 minutes. It just seems much longer. Then when you are next someone from the "media" will step in with a iphone and a boom mic and want to do an interview that lasts forever. Aisles get crowded when a girl starts shaking her ass and everyone has to get their phone out for photos. They act like they have never seen a girl in panties before. As for the guys who get 20, 50, 100 photos signed. The girls are making money and if you have watched it, the girls set the prices. It may suck to wait behind them but when I get behind one I just go to a different line and go back when they are finished. As for prices, yes, they have all gone up. Some of the buffet's in town (the ones that are still in business) want you to pre pay to guarantee you a spot at dinner. Show closes at 8 each day and most buffet's close at 9. Last year I was reading the menu at one of the resorts world restaurants and the hostess came to me and said "just so you know, the cheapest entre is $35 here, you may want to go elsewhere"!!! There is a donut shop near the casino floor. Last year on Thursday a donut and bottle of water was $12, on Friday the same thing was $18. When I asked why they said "we are busier today". Take cash, the ATM fees in Resorts World are insane. Last year I paid a $35.99 ATM fee for taking out $500. These are my experiences only, other probably had different experiences. |
| BJTalentSearch Deactivated User 91 Posts 9/07 | A quick note about my friend and security at AVN last year....I don't remember the whole exact story, but I think it was someone else near him who caused a ruckus of some kind, but security got the wrong guy and my friend ended up paying the price. Something like that. One other thing I've heard is the recent change in venue locations. How much of an impact has that made (better/worse from anyone who went to both). |
| pito05 Member BROOKLYN nyc 508 Posts 9/06 | I never really liked Hard Rock. I get moving to another place to make it cheaper, but it seemed way more cramped, especially that room with the stage. a lot harder to navigate too with the 3 rooms. Resorts seemed like a hybrid- 3 big rooms. Of course prices will be higher in 2024 than 2003, but flights from NYC to Vegas back then were basically $99 each way, breakfast buffet around 20, dinner buffet around 30. My fav was Paris, especially for breakfast, although I ate at pretty much all of them. Nobody was charging at the convention unless you were actually buying merch. Like I mentioned, it was 2013 when I noticed some girls were starting to charge, but it was $5, so whatever. By now you also had newer buffets like Aria and Wicked Spoon that were pricier but nicer. Most girls have short lines, maybe 5 or so people, and a lot have none so you can pretty much just walk up. But others will have the huge lines that can go 30-45 minutes where you're jammed into some slob who hasn't showered in days and has sweatpants stained with various who knows what. I always make it a point to shower that morning, carry gum, wear something clean, etc. Or you get the drunken idiot in front of you harassing the girl to show her tits and now she's giving you the WTF do you want look as you walk up. That's another thing you notice too- one year a girl can be very open, friendly, giving hugs and kisses and all, and the next year very distant, just yeah hi snap your pic and move on. |

| BJTalentSearch Deactivated User 91 Posts 9/07 | I have never been to a convention, but from things I have heard even situations that should go smoothly don't always go as planned. Especially girls not being available to sign at their booths at their designated times. I even heard one story from last year's AVN where a well-known female porn star was scheduled to be signing on all 4 days, yet pulled out after a few hours on the first day and left town. Aren't these girls under some sort of contract to appear when they're supposed to, or is it basically "do what you want" ? |
