| Kimi Lixx Senior Member 2012 Posts 6/01 | I think that heterosexually oriented men who enjoy watching them are unsatisfied with the artificial or absent female response to sex. It is impossible to know, sometimes even first-hand, if a woman is having an orgasm - or even a reasonably good time. It's generally possible to detect signs of arousal and orgasm in males. Someone who looks 90% female demonstrating unarguable signs of sexual pleasure is probably very arousing for some guys. As for all the rest, well, some people think things are kinky or weird and that gets them off. I've never understood that. Humans having sexual congress is just humans having sexual congress - no matter how much surgery or hormone treatment they've had. |
| SunShowers Member 333 Posts 4/08 | I don't have any malice towards them or men who like them, but my natural response is disgust. I think they're weird and completely unattractive. Of course, I'm a straight female and that may have something to do with it. It does perplex me that the market for shemales seems to be growing. Especially when so many so-called straight men are fans. I don't want to make anyone feel bad, but I can't help but question the sexual orientation of someone who finds them arousing. It's a mystery to me. And honestly, I get terribly irritated when I'm confronted by shemale porn in my search for what gets me off. I can't find Nacho Vidal clips without seeing some trashy shemale anymore. That ticks me off. |
| jayo All-Star Member 2117 Posts 7/04 | I think there are several reasons why shemale videos appeal to straight men: 1) "straight" isn't an all-or-nothing proposition. I hear people defined as "straight" the way people used to describe being "white", i.e. if you have a drop of non-white blood in you anywhere in your ancestry, you're not white. Same thing with being straight: if you notice or admire anything on a guy, you're not straight. Bullshit to all of it. That's particularly true in fantasies, where you can let your mind go free even if you don't want to act it out in real life. Fantasizing rough sex doesn't make you a sadist or a masochist. 2) I think guys who would not even call themselves bi-curious can still find shemales interesting. From puberty, a guy's cock becomes the center of his universe and stays that way for decades (if not the rest of his life). Most cultures hide it away. It becomes something mysterious and powerful and fascinating, and it's reasonable that you'd become interested in others, not just your own. But if you're straight, you're not attracted to men. You don't find guys, hairy chests, testosterone, and so forth, a turn-on at all. But you take a beautiful shemale and you get all the things you find attractive: a pretty face, hair, boobs, ass, legs--plus she has the *one* thing you want from a guy. It's like having the whole package. You get all the good stuff and none of the bad. 3) For those of us who like lesbian movies (and most straight guys I know do), it adds that little missing element. I think that's why strap-ons show up in a lot of lesbian videos, but it's artificial and almost never looks right. Plus you're watching it and thinking that it's fun for the catcher, but the pitcher is just getting a some exercise. With a shemale and a working cock, you get a lesbian scene but you can imagine that both of them are into it. 4) The big drawback with shemales is that most of them aren't very attractive. Plastic surgery is getting better but there's still bad results even when you're doing minor work with someone who's already female. So you get a few who look convincing, some who just look like guys in drag, but a lot of people in the middle who don't look quite male or female, and the result is usually scary. In regular porn, the less attractive performers tend to be filtered out because there are so many to chose from. But shemales are still somewhat rare and it's difficult to find them. I think the growing interest reflects the overall upgrade in quality, but it's still got a long way to go. 25 years from now, or if digital animation gets good enough, you'll find even more of it because you'll get someone who looks like Raquel Welch with a cock, instead of Sandra Bernhardt... |

| sickguy Deactivated User I'm unofficially Beauty Dior's #1 Fan 736 Posts 9/06 | Anyway, this is my opinion about your thoughts on why guys who claim to be straight like she-males. Even though I've never seen this, there is one thing that turns me on. Seeing a she-male fuck and biological female is a turn on for me. Not really so much the visual aspect of it but the mental/psychological aspect. The turn on is seeing this totally hot bio female that is such a trashy slutty whore sexual freak, that she'll even fuck a she-male. It's the tabooness of it. Of course, this only works with a totally hot female pornstar for me. The idea of this is not appealing at all if it was with some completely over weight ugly person. Don't know if that makes any sense but the best way I can articulate it. |
| cand86 Member 164 Posts 8/08 | Trans porn tends to be hit or miss. As I've said, it's hard to find trans stars who fit my criteria in terms of looks, and then it's hard to find girls who can be and stay hard (I understand the realities of transsexuality and being on hormones, but when I watch someone get fucked in the ass, I want to see a hard-on; it's just something I need in my porn). I also like watching transwomen with girls, and that's rather more of a rarity. I don't find them threatening- please, why would I? All porn is full of fantasy people doing fantasy things, first off, so feeling threatened by porn is just silly, and secondly, I feel more pressure to compete with cisgender porn stars than I do with T-girls- at least I know that I'm in a totally different category than the ladies with penises. I don't think poorly of men who like transwomen, but I do wish more of them were educated and respectful- I wish we could stop using terms like "tranny" and "shemale" and "chick with dick", and that they knew a bit about transsexuality and gender dysphoria, and that they be aware of the concept of "chasers" and that they probably are one. It's amazing how many guys there are who think that transwomen should be happy when a guy objectifies her as a penis on a hot girl. It sucks. In other words, I like transwomen and wish they were in more and better porn (especially indie/alt porn!). |

| RandomPrecision Senior Member Enjoy! 8175 Posts 3/06 | At various times, I've found myself attracted to Big, hairy, muscular men Sissified Crossdressers (That is, obvious men dressed in women's clothing, jewelry and makeup) Full transexuals (Some of them almost indistinguishable from the real thing) Very feminine women Very hairy, androgynous women Lesbians (Real "butch" lesbians. Not the fake porn ones). And it's not just that they're women. The fact that they're lesbians turns me on even more. My orientation is all over the place. I can't explain it but this is just how I am. When I'm watching a porn scene with a man and a woman, I can (and often do) jerk off to both of them at the same time. It's usually a little more tilted towards the woman but the fact that the guy is turning me on too is undeniable. So you see it's not so simple. I'm not sure how a man would consider himself completely straight if he gets off on shemales but I also don't see why anyone cares. If he has to have a label, let him choose his own, at least. If it makes him more comfortable to be called straight, why not? Edited by - randomprecision on 5/9/2009 8:18:51 AM |

| James01 Member 20 Posts 5/25 | As for men who are attracted to them-there's nothing wrong or strange about that. Attraction is personal, and it doesn't need to be judged. What really matters is being kind, open-minded, and respectful to others, regardless of how different their experiences or preferences may be. |
| Candylicka New Member 1 Posts 9/25 | So I happen to be a guy who likes trans porn, as well as having sex with trans women. I'm old enough to understand that labels regarding sexuality are misplaced and over blown. I have evolved over the years, and have found that my sexual appetites as I get older. I don't need to find a particular category for what I am, I just like what I like. I am personally more into straight up bottom and top trans porn, with the she male being the bottom, and the guy doing them. The idea and sight of it turn me on. I don't like shemales doing each other, or women- just not speaking to me. It's just a lizard brain thing that requires no real explanation other than you find it hot. Plus I absolutely LOVE anal sex, so watching them take it is just hot af for me |
