Great pics as always, Anime. I finally saw you on the Sunday with about 15 minutes to go (in the Alexis Ford line). I didn't get a chance to introduce myself though. I can't believe I missed so many of my favourite performers on the AEE floor. I suppose it was the hours I spent queuing up for the girls I did see. I got stuck behind those luggage dudes for both Monique Alexander and Kristina Rose - the girls must have signed 500 photos each for those guys and I spent 75 minutes in Kristina's line and over half an hour in Monique's line (and I was the third person in that line!!!). I also saw Teagan, Sunny and Eva's show at Deja Vu. It was excellent!! I was particularly impressed with Eva - those panties came off in no time at all. I don't think I will bother with the AVN awards show again. It is just not worth $300. The seats in the Pearl Theatre were too small - although the crowd started thinning out within 30 minutes as per usual - they didn't even wait for the Best New Starlet or Female Performer of the Year awards to be given out. I suppose a lot of that had to do with the fact that the show did not start until 10:00pm - most of the after-show parties were starting by 10:30pm! The comedian was the best I have seen in a few years. I didn't think much of the musical performances - for $300 you really expect a performance by Beyonce or U2!! It was also annoying that you were constantly being told to laugh or clap for no apparent reason for the Showtime cameras. The highlight for me was the opening film montage accompanied by Carmina Burana. I will be getting the dvd of the show just for that montage.
Sasha Grey Even though the press was being shoo'd out of the ballroom, I refused to leave without getting a shot of Sasha in this dress. Thankfully, she was gracious (or maybe just cool) enough to pose.
After eventually finding my way outside once the Red Carpet ended (we weren't exactly told how to get out without getting stopped by the parade of stars heading to the theatre), I made a beeline for the taxi stand. On the way there, I kept hearing some drunk girl, who was walking behind me, going on and on about the congestion inside and the unknown whereabouts of the Palms taxi stand. Once I reached the curb, I finally turned around to see where this rambling was coming from... and recognized the source as Hillary Scott. As I exclaimed, "What the...?", Hillary looked right back at me with a look of shock. "HEEEEYYYYYY!!!! What are you...? This is soooo random!" We hugged and shot some pics. Hillary kept trying to give me her ticket to the AVN Awards, but I repeatedly declined. Edited by - anime nut on 1/17/2010 8:23:59 PM

You guys are silly. When we got pulled out of the 2-hour line to go onto the red carpet, they told me I could bring one girl with me, so I grabbed Kelly because she looks a lot better in pics than I do. To be somewhat fair to myself, the reason my makeup and hair looks halfway done is BECAUSE it was only halfway done. The dress I was supposed to wear that night didn't fit me. When I bought it last October, it was about an inch too small. I lost so much weight since then, when I put it on, it was hanging off me in a horrible way. I started crying in my room stressing before I finally caved and decided to wear the purple one instead - a backup dress (I always have a backup dress with me ). I didn't have much time between the end of the show floor and leaving for the awards to get ready in the first place. Luckily Sarah Doom came over to my room and helped me fix my eye makeup a little, but the hair was hopeless.
^ Was the gap between show close and Red Carpet start always so small? 90 minutes is awfully short, especially if you haven't eaten anything since breakfast and need to shower off a day's worth of sweat.

What was the story with that Red Carpet starting at 6:30pm when the show didn't start until 10:00pm? Where did the early arrivals go - was there a backroom somewhere where they could go and get drunk for three hours?
^ The Awards show was scheduled to start at 9:30 PM. Same difference, I know. I arrived just after 7:00 PM thanks to my insane need to eat something. The arrivals had already begun, and I'm not sure how much I missed. In hindsight, I keep telling myself that if I arrived on time, I wouldn't have stayed late to get the Sasha Grey photos. And if that didn't happen, then I also wouldn't have encountered Hillary Scott outside like I did. Can't fuck with fate.
Awesome reports and pics, Anime! Great stuff. Great to see Angela Summers back--at least hopefully. A bit surprised to see Penny Flame there--cool, though. Shauna Sands' outfit was definitely unique, as well. Awesome.

Angela Summers was at our booth to promote the work she's doing for her own site. I asked her if she's going to be doing anything in porn outside of her site, and it didn't sound like it. I'm pretty sure it's AngelaSummers.com Anime - Red carpet didn't used to start until around 7, but sometimes the Saturday show hours went until 6pm. They HAVE to open up the red carpet as early as they do so they have a chance to get as many people through as they can. I thought they were taking too long with each person though. Hopefully next year, that will tighten up. I always tell everyone at Evil Angel that if they want to do the red carpet, to go early before the line gets huge, and just plan on eating at one of the restaurants at the awards hotel. This year because of the craziness with my dress, I didn't get there as early as I hoped (it was about 7:15 when we pulled up) and it was almost 45 minutes before we got pulled to the front of the line. So instead of going to a nice sit-down dinner, we only had time to go to the Palms food court, which was fine by me. Sbarro really hits the spot when you're in a rush. As I was sitting there eating, I started seeing tweets from my friends in the Pearl Theater that the show would be starting in 2 minutes, so we rushed on back (it was REALLY close) and by the time we sat down, the show still didn't start for almost 10 minutes.

My god Nyomi is so damn hot. She does it for me all the time. Brooklyn James? Who is she? Man she is sexy. Also who is the girl Stilts in a previous pic? Another hottie. Anime, I am hoping you got some good pics of Nyomi and Misty at the Expo? You have a way better camera than I and so I'm hoping you got a bunch of good ones of them? Edited by - JennaRulez2006 on 1/18/2010 4:10:08 PM
Since I can't access ADT from my work computer and upload anything, I'll go ahead and address some of your comments with my iPhone. So beware of typos and missing code tags.
As far as I know, Stilts is not in the porn biz. She's a model/actress who appears in For the Love of Ray J. I did get more shots of Nyomi & Misty that will show up on my Flickr page eventually.
mrblue: Good meeting you too. Did you ever end up getting any Elegant swag? I was too busy hugging my camera & leaning forward whenever those events broke out.
So it sounds like the real problem lies in the Expo's closing time. Since I refuse to suggest closing it even earlier than it already does, I guess that leaves the method leaving the booth early. Which, as anybody who attended knows, clearly was NOT an option for you and everybody at Evil Angel. I applaud you guys for keeping the booth active until the last minute. Poor Red Carpet line management aside, how did things overall compare to Mandalay Bay's way of running things. My experience was mostly positive. From the second I entered the casino main entrance, there was no shortage of staff directing me to the Key West Ballroom. Once inside, check-in was almost instantaneous, and I was escorted to my spot on the platform. My only complaints were the lack of more platforms (2 more in the middle and left end would've done the trick) and the messy exit procedure.
Thanks, I feel a little less irresponsible now. What's really sad is that my early dinner (actual dinner was at 10pm) was Panda Bowl from the Panda Express attached to my hotel.

My guess is that the Palms Pearl Theater being a smaller venue as compared to Mandalay Bay's Events Center, they probably don't have enough room for all the people? I went to the Palms about 11:30pm and it was a mess inside the casino. Had to be about 1000 people mulling about, and some people with cameras waiting behind the ropes in front of the Pearl. I left after 10 minutes because I just wanted to see what it was like with everyone exiting. Some black girls who came out of the Pearl, guessing they may have been porn stars, were arguing with one another and then arguing with some black guy by the slots just in front of the Pearl. So that was entertaining. I was about to ask them who they were and if I could get a pic, but I didn't want to hear a loud "FUCK OFF!!" so i didn't. LOL. Was it crazy in the casino when you got there? Lookin forward to your Misty and Nyomi pics. Those two were definitely my favs this year. God Misty is wild, she was so lively getting everyone screaming for a cap when she would rub it on her pussy. Edited by - JennaRulez2006 on 1/19/2010 6:15:58 PM
Aw, really?! Damn, wish I'd known. Next time, just scream my name. Even if I'm in a rush, I'll come over.As morbid said in a similar discussion last year - if these guys are in line ahead of you, either cut in front of them or just leave. Nobody should have to suffer the aggravation of watching them schmooze with the girls. Makes me sick every time.Did you get a seat at the stage? I stayed for the 2nd show specifically to ensure a front row audience with Eva. If you recall what she was doing, I'll simply say I had a pleasant scent filling my nostrils for the ride back to my hotel.

I see so many guys trying to shmooze with the girls each year I have gone. Now mind you it is nice when the girl is chatting away to you, like Flower Tucci was, but then I feel like I am taking up too much of thier time and making everyone wait longer in line. You had to sit in the "stinky seats" or "perverts row" as we used to call those seats when i worked as a DJ at strip clubs years back. I still haven't gone to a strip club while in Vegas. I think because I worked in them for 10 years I just never have the interest in going now. Been years since I did.
Oh, don't you dare, Mr. 10K. Besides not knowing what this "EAA" is that you speak of, I also feel I made one too many screw-ups in my coverage. Chief among them being the whole white balance thing, which I can now clearly see was a mistake from the get-go. I'll delve into that more in my wrap-up, which immediately follows the report I'm posting tonight. Thanks for the compliments, anyways. Are you still on your 10K press tour? I got some swag, tho it wasn't my original intention. I really wanted to get a pic w/ Tori Black. Also Kristina Rose, even tho I got one w/ her last yr. I ended up getting a pic w/ Misty Stone and I was lucky to get that once the t shirts started to fly the line morphed into a mosh pit. I was out of there after that.

I can imagine those with the nice cameras protecting them, man when they throw swag out it becomes a mosh pit for sure. I got 3 caps, I gave one of them away to a guy. I kept the red one and the black one (that was the one Misty threw to me after rubbing that sweet black pussy..oh my!!), got two shirts as well LOL. When they were throwing dvd's out, I got out of there, a couple of guys got hit in the head by those. Funny thing happened though, when the shirts were thrown. This guy who was at the back in a wheelchair wasn't even paying attention, was talking to his buddy and a shirt landed on his lap. Couldn't have been scripted. We all started laughing with him when we all seen his reaction wondering where it came from, then when he realized, he started laughing and hootin, hollerin. That was the guy I gave one of my caps to. Got a Jules Jordan shirt and Brazzers shirt as well.

My problem is that I am always open to the suggestions of a pretty girl. I spent the hour or so before the first performance in the backrooms with a very pretty brunette. I then had another one of the Deja Vu girls sitting with me while I watched the performance (about three rows back from the stage) - before I returned to the backroom! It was a very good night. I have to say that I certainly got a lot more bang for my buck in the Vegas strip clubs this year than ever before. Back at the Expo I got a nice Elegant Angel t-shirt. That booth was an absolute madhouse and very entertaining during the giveaways - middle-aged men rolling around the floor fighting over a dvd whilst women in the crowd squealed "oh my god!".
