Like Melvyn said most IR fans especially those in the US often don't pay attention to the genre in Europe which actually puts out many high quality scenes and the women are just as beautiful and sexy. One of the biggest things is that US IR fans don't know the girls over there many of whom will probably never come to the US to shoot porn. Of the girls that come to the US most IR fans only pay attention when they are shooting in the US they never follow their careers when they go back home. Most US companies don't want to or need to go over there to shoot because they have plenty of talent here. Dogfart makes the occasional trip every couple of years. If a company were to make the investment into setting up a studio over there and shooting IR and putting out regular updates they could have lots of success. There is plenty of female talent in Europe that are willing to shoot it, the problem might be finding male talent. The talent pool over there for black males would just naturally be shallow given the black male population in Europe is pretty small. [Link]

Second of all, it looks like this person charges for all of his interviews, most of which happen at conventions of some sort. And a lot of them aren't very long, either. I feel like this is the type of content you put up on Youtube to try to get your name out there for people to look for your other content, not the content you actually try to sell. And third of all, looks like Mia Malkova finally took the plunge. I always expected it since it was way too much money to be left on the table, I'm just not a huge fan of Jason so I guess I'm waiting to see who Lansky pairs her up with after this. [Link]

I came across her a couple years ago and quite appreciated her commentary. She has 2 channels on Youtube, one for more general discussion, and another for more sexual topics. She's also a big fan of Pit's comics, so I've been trying to get Pit to do a pinup of her which I know she would love. In other IR news, apparently Kissa Sins has signed a deal with Jules and will be finally doing IR for JJV, most likely this year I would assume. I don't just get hype about any hold-out or so-called "dodger" like many others do. But Kissa is one that I would be excited about. [Link]

But IR's popularity and the popularity of some of those white male performers are not mutually exclusive. At odds perhaps, but not one excluding the other. I know that Lex won multiple AVN awards. Prince could still be a contender, but perhaps with him it is political cuz he did erupt with indignation a couple years ago feeling snubbed. That won't help his case I think. I think with the most popular black male talent out there who sell the most units, Mandingo and Dredd namely, they might not be getting votes because their size is held against them, as if it is a crutch for performance. Many people on this forum have aired that very criticism. I am not qualified to say who really deserves that award, since I don't even watch any of those other dudes popular in vanilla. I pretty much only watch IR or lesbian and check out adult comics/art. I will say that in his nearly 20 year career, I think Mandingo should have won at least one year. And Dredd is a potential candidate for sure since he is still on the rise and he seems like a class act. Mandingo didn't seem to lack class for his part either, but he didn't seem as into what the industry scene entails, glad-handing and bumping shoulders and all that. He seems to keep to himself which is why his following remains pretty modest on Twitter, despite being one of the most recognized and best selling banner names in porn. The thinking is that Prince was too arrogant. Mandingo too introverted. Rob Piper had a shot I bet, but then that controversy with Lana Rhoades happened. Isaiah Maxwell is probably the most visible, since he's pretty much in EVERYTHING. Ladies seem to like him a lot, but do they control much of the vote for this? Who knows? [Link]

But for those who do care, I have to ask...are the black guys being named really doing the best work out there or is it because they're black and have a big penis and you enjoy watching them? I'm a fan of IR but have to admit that while it's fun (or whatever's better word) to watch those black guys performing with the girls...take away skin color and penis size and some of them aren't really blowing me away with skills or charisma. That's not to say they aren't doing what's required or getting the job done but some don't have that "it" factor that makes them stand out of gives them "star" power. I think Lex had it but not many other black or white male performers had/has it from what I've seen. I think Manuel (sp?) and Rocco have it and maybe a few more I'm forgetting at the moment. But just because I prefer watching the black dudes in scenes doesn't mean they're doing the best job. [Link]
