The first nomination on the best scenes list is the height of comedy because that shit was awful lol. That Lesbian Sex #26 scene was pretty bad too lol. If you look at the numbers on these scenes for the respective sites...well, these noms certainly aren't based on fan reception :)
The funniest thing to me is how non of the nominated performers are featured in one of the supposedly best GG scenes, unless I missed somebody.
^also agreed that it's laughable how neither Alex Coal and Spencer Bradley have been nominated. I'm a fan of most of the g/g performers they named so I won't talk shit about them, but forget just being nominated, one of Spencer/Freya/Alex should have been performer of the year. Honestly for me it would've been Spencer.
The list of nominated scenes is an absolute joke though. The best scene is probably the Twistys one, and I wouldn't even put that among the 10 best scenes I watched this year, and some of the others on the list are downright awful lol.

First, it should be pointed out that the first category you note is Female/Female Specialty Performer of the Year, presumably meaning those who only perform in female/female scenes? I believe that's why people like Alex Coal or Freya Parker are not in here. Although if that's the case, the inclusion of Aidra Fox (excellent in g/g scenes) is puzzling since by IAFD she has done a few b/g scenes recently.
Second, for the best category of Best Female/Female Sex Scene, yeah there are definitely many dubious choices. Just to take two examples, I have written detailed reviews of Sorority Girls and Lesbian Sex 26, and it's not clear to me that they are even the best scene in those movies (almost certainly not for the Jazmin/Sky scene in Sorority Girls, a much closer case for the Braylin/Kay scene in Lesbian Sex 26).
Now for some other points of interest.
I'm all for The Lesbian Study. The beauty of the Evelyn Claire/Lena Anderson scene is absolutely dazzling. However, was this not released in 2021? Is this award not for those made in 2022?
There are two scenes of personal preference/interest.
- Squats and Scissoring by Amirah Adara & Mary Rock. Again a 2021 scene (10/2021)? Anyway, happy to see Amirah gets some recognition. Although if we are going by 2021 scenes, she has another one released just a bit earlier (08/2021) with Alya Stark, also from Reality Kings (mostly pretty bad when it comes to American girls recently, but does have some notably good European g/g scenes) and even better (Alya is another personal favorite).
- Taken by Zazie Skymm & Veronica Leal. Veronica is up there with Amirah as two of my favorite g/g performers in Europe, so I'm happy to see her there. The nominated scene indeed is a good one, although it does cater to the foot thing which I don't care for. For a non-foot version of the pairing (so to speak), see Glam Up Dress Down also from Adult Time (I also wrote about that scene before).
I'm happy to see Braylin and Kay on the list.
For this one, it's interesting to note that most of them are very good g/g performers. By conventional wisdom, g/g stuff plays second fiddle to b/g stuff. Yet here is perhaps some indication that even if this is true, it's a pretty big fiddle -- if you just suck at g/g scene, you are not regarded as highly.
