I post here and on an 80s metal board, and this place is FAR better than that one in terms of craziness...and if you want some real fun with angry people, try XPT. My job involves dealing with all sorts of highly-educated people in a professional setting, and they are as whacky as they come, too. Don't let a few bad apples spoil the whole bunch--every place has its stranger elements. I actually think that this board is one of the relatively sane places on the internet. It appears some people here just dont have much experience on internet message boards. This place is pretty calm. It was the first thing I noticed. I attributed it to (correctly or not) the fact that people who come here are mostly all adults. So you don't get a whole lot of stupid teenagers writing stupid things. If you join a message board where things are just too calm (no drama at all)I find it to be so boring that I just leave even if I'm interested in the topic of discussion. People on those boards are acting like robots or computers - no emotion at all (they cant even laugh at a joke) - and thats just not real. Note how this post violates message board policy since it's "off the topic" of the thread. Do I care? No! I'm not a robot. When threads get side tracked thats when you know people are just being people. [Link]
