Why is it that Black Male Preformers like Lexington Steele, Mr Marcus and Sean Micheals have all won AVN awards, and Jada Fire, Sinnamon Luv, Lacey Duvalle, Marie Luv and a host of other great Black Female Preformers haven't won? I think that it's pretty darn racist. Why didn't Misty Stone or Aryanna Star win for Best New Starlet when then first enter the biz. Hell they didn't even get nominated. One of the big problems is that most of the Black Male Preformers are more worried about Sunny Lane and Alexis Texas doing interracial then they are worried about the Black Female Preformers that helped make them famous in the first place.

i would agree with keny. start off by having separate categories, if for no other reason than simply to raise awareness of great black performers. once marie luv, kapri styles, misty stone etc start dominating the black category, then that could be used to springboard into mainstram categories, sort of like the way hip hop/rap/r&b began as separate music category awards but have now more or less integrated into mainstream over the lat 10 or so years

Does anyone take AVN's awards seriously? Does winning one of their awards increase one's income? Do girls who attend the AVN awards show get paid an appearance fee for showing up? Who decides who wins the AVN awards, and how are the determinations made? Is there any relationship between advertising spending and AVN awards victories? I'm a porn consumer who lives on the East Coast, and I've always been puzzled when anyone takes anything concerning AVN very seriously.

Well the real reason why Lexington Steele, Mr Marcus, and Sean have won AVN Awards in the past and this year is that they do more IR work then black on black porn. Sean Michael have started directing for Evil Angel now, and Lex is doing outside work for JJV, and Brazzers. There is a very simple and easy way to get black females to win AVN awards. First of all find a black female performer. Step two, get that performer to start her own production company. Step three buy lots and lots of advertising for that company in AVN. There, problem solved.
I'm not trolling here, but I think the reason is that black female performers, in the idiotic and narrow minds of AVN, are considered a niche or fetish category and not as significant as the white flesh. A better question would be, When was the last time a black female had an award worthy performance? It's been heavily implied here that AVN awards are a thank you/feel good trophy for the biggest advertisers. Show me a strong performance by a black female along with large ad budget and I'll show some award nominations.

Well marie luv and jada fire go out their way to get scenes with white guys, they have both done more scenes with white guys. so u cant say they haven't won based on some ghetto theme. They work in the white environment, so all the white population sees them in their movies. black girls are just not popular. Master D i do agree about the rappers wanting all the none black women in their video. but that nails the point even more. even in real life the black rappers prefer none black women in their videos. Right now, the black performers need to do what is best for business now. I think there are many people in the business and porn fans, who do not place much stock in AVN. It's time for a new, culurally, diverse multimedia institution which markets porn on the net and in print, which can public events and radio and TV coverage.
The reason why there aren't that many extra sexy Black women in porn is because all of the extra sexy Black women can make just as much money performing in rap videos and stripping as they can make in porn. White women get paid more in porn so more there's more of a incentive to go into hardcore porn. Black women can get paid jsut as good by doing half the work in a rap video. There isn't a big market for your average White girl with no booty in the video world dancing.

I totally agree with you. I was VERY upset that Misty Stone didn't win even ONE of the FOUR categories she was nominated for this year. She's been in the business for SIX years and has well paid her dues. She's attractive and one hell of a performer. Have you guy check out the 2010 Miss Freeone (btw I did vote for Jayden Jaymes) and no black female performer were on that list. I sorry I have to say this but until less a black female can fight for better role in the industy they will still be overlook by the white fans and companies.
