Asians make up a tiny portion of western countries, so of course, you'll won't see many of them in wester porn. Look up some JAV for yourself. It includes tons of Japanese, also also Koreans and Chinese too but they don't categorize them separately.

I honestly couldn't care less about JAV porn. The quality is often poor. It's often censored. It's weird. The tentacle porn is ridiculous. You brought up quantity, but that could mean there's oversaturation. It doesn't necessarily mean there's a huge demand for JAV. We're weren't talking about JAV or porn in Africa or whatever. East Asians actually make up about 6% of the U.S population. There are a good amount of Asian women in th American adult film industry. There are just as many if not more Asian women in American porn. Asian Americans belonging to higher income families is irrelevant. The Maitland Ward obsession I find baffling. Given that people were freaking out about her doing porn before they'd even seen any of her scenes, simply because she'd been on a couple of seasons of a TV show 20 years ago, it's clear much of the enthusiasm is actually about a semi-famous person doing porn rather than an attraction to her specifically or the quality of her scenes.
