Do people actually fall for this?? So naive! On one end we have people who won't pay for porn, on the other end we have people who will literally fall for these marketing tactics.
I'm a customer on vxn sites since a long time. They always were fair. But since the retreat of Greg Lansky much has changed ... So I will make my own crossover and keep distance :(
I can't help but laugh when I look at the trailer, Kayden Kross takes herself so seriously, she seems to think she's the new Paul Verhoeven or something. This stuff really isn't what will make me subscribe again.

Ok, that really is a fair comparison, and I wouldn't call B.I. pretentious. (I wouldn't call "Showgirls" that either, because it really knows what it is - and it definitely isn't a good film), and I can see where you're going there.
Too bad that since Basic Instinct in classic mainstream cinema, there never was anything like it that was both sexy/erotic *and* well played/filmed. Today's mainstream is either too prudish (actresses going topless in sex comedies has practically disappeared - which was a staple of these films in the 70ies until early 90ies), or if there is any nudity, it's total crap (as I mentioned in my previous post, some pretentious auteur-stuff with over-the-top symbolism etc...)

^ I'm not calling any of Verhoeven's films pretentious. I think that Kross trying to emulate real cinema in porn is. At the end of the day, it's just... porn.
Sure a short plot before the sex starts can make it hotter, for example Cory Chase catching her daughter in bed with Pressure before she decides to fuck him herself, or Lyra Law being the burglar sleeping with Rob Piper to avoid going to jail.
But Kayden Kross tries too hard. Abigail Mac's showcase was the perfect example for this. The whole thing was laughable. And no offense to the performers but there's a reason why most of them aren't acting in Martin Scorceses's movies and doing porn instead.
The one that really irritated me was Love Triangle from Vixen with Avery Cristy & Naomi Swann, Don't get me wrong once the action kicked off it was great (Albeit short) but the plot before it was WAY too long.
That is a particularly good example of where the line crosses from a simple, engaging plot/set-up into distracting self-indulgence.
Naomi and Avery - perfect casting. Sporting rivals fucking their coach - sounds good. The girls looking cute and sexy in gym gear and fencing whites - decent.
A 9 minute intro / storyline in a 36 minute scene, including a two minute posing montage featuring way too much Mick Blue and not enough of the girls; another 2 and a half minutes of Naomi and Avery being bitchy to each other; a 1 minute scene of stunt doubles fencing; and another 1 minute of Mick lecturing them on teamwork? Sheer self-indulgence.
Buried in that 9 minutes was a simple plot that would've made for a perfect scene: Avery tries to seduce her coach... her rival Naomi catches and threatens to blackmail them... they find a better way to settle their differences.
That's all it needed, plus keep the intro montage to Avery and Naomi in gym leggings, leotards and underwear. Everything else was unnecessary for the viewer/subscriber. But the producers wanted to do something needlessly elaborate.
Too many auteur directors here. How about quitting your daytime jobs and getting into the porn business. Same with sports, we have full time coaches sitting at home running commentary on how teams should play.
Don't know where the world is going to. Everything has to be fast food like. We killed the porn cinema by introducing gonzo, and look where that got us....only fans! Keep up this attitude, and who knows where we go next.
^ Gonzo conquered porn because the customer preferred it to the plot-based features. It was more concise and consumer-friendly, particularly during the age of VHS and DVDs, and offered something fresh.
OnlyFans is arguably offering the same in the current era. Although I think customer satisfaction will be short-lived due to cost and quality and people ultimately will revert to wanting consistent, professional, studio produced porn.
Blacked and its sister sites revived the plot-based, "cinematic" porn for the 21st century and conquered all their gonzo and reality porn rivals with high quality production, great casting and simple plots. What's placing that success under threat is not the audience, but the producers who have decided to roll the clock back 20-30 years to create elaborate, plot and dialogue heavy features that are contrary, by their own admission, to what their customers want.
Watched part 1 of the showcase, sex takes 18min to start and at the end Gianna cleans Troy's dick with her mouth and then spits semen in his mouth. Typical overproduced cuck stuff from KK.
They're deleting a lot of comments, including those by members who have been subscribed for years, and a couple reminding people that the normal schedule on these sites is suppsoed to be every 5 days not every 7. Not a good look.
They even sent Gianna Dior in to try to soothe the disquiet.
