my take on this...1st whoever is comparing fighting in a ring to beating people outside becaue he got released from his contract is an idiot. fighting promotions have zero tolerance is some things this being one of them(same as alisteir overeem when he did positive for drug test in ufc he got 2 years banned) 2nd this kind o relationship is more illness than love. u go against a wall once ok, twice, 3 times, well u should learn by then that the wall hurts and you are repeating the same mistake several times. im saying than she should have jump ship long ago, unless of course( the other side of the problem) she was deeply in love with him or he could threat her "if u leave me i will do this and that"(well he was already beating her) so she kept staying. this is a everyday case we talking about this one because they are famous. and as she said on her statment that he tried to rape her, luckily he didnt. maybe she was blinded by fear of ill love, but we here in this forum all knew that it was a matter of time before he lost his mind(again). maybe she knew it too but could not leave him for the reasons i stated above, well never know that. in a way is was "good " that this happened so she can open her eyes and build a new future without him.

You need to understand that it is possible she reconciles with him at some point. She has had a couple of pretty serious beatings and stayed with him. Yeah, this one is far and above the worst, but there is no guarantee she stays away from him when he gets out of jail. She also will be at major risk of getting involved with another abusive male (a VERY common thing with severely abused women. The simple and most obvious answer is that the "friend" probably just didn't give a fuck. He likely didn't care what happened once he was gone. My guess is that Christy was just a piece of ass to him, nothing more. So why would he care if her boyfriend beats the shit out of her? For all we know, he might have been doing the same thing to her. This girl doesn't exactly have the best track record of picking guys who are "nice guys," or concerned for her safety. As another poster pointed out, she obviously goes for the "bad boy" type, who are also the type that don't give a shit about the women they're with. If that's what you go for, then you can't complain when you continuously get treated like shit. Having said that, she does look beat up pretty badly. He didn't have to resort to that level of violence. Nonetheless, I'm convinced that if she didn't have to go to the hospital, then she wouldn't have reported this incident either. I really think the only reason she reported it was because she had to this time.

You and others who have expressed similar sentiments seem to have wrongly conflated a few things. Are you under the mistaken impression that to feel sorry for a person who was beaten half to death implies approval of that person's bad decisions? Let's say you were the one who opened your door to Christy Mack and saw her standing there, beaten bloody and in fear for her life. Wouldn't you have felt sympathy for the terrified girl standing there in front of you, irrespective of what foolish choices might have led her there? I'm sorry for Christy because that scum, Jon Koppenhaver, assaulted her. For me, it's as simple as the fact that she's another woman and another human being and she was beaten by a trained fighter who weighs 170 lbs. Honestly, I don't get the cold response, because I'm sure that any emotionally/mentally healthy person who saw what Christy described actually taking place would feel sorry for her rather than just sit there, shrug, and say to themselves "Well, what did she expect would happen?"

I don't know if this is directed at realtip, or me, or both. I can't speak for realtip, but I personally didn't read anything from him that I considered to be either making fun of domestic abuse or taking laughter in seeing women being beaten. And I didn't do that either. I did take issue (and I think he did too) with the all-too-common situation of cash flowing to celebrities from fans with far less, when no one would be kicking in the money if it was one of the thousands of random women who are abused each and every day, instead of Christy Mack. Where are we when they need our money? It's not that giving to Christy is wrong. It's that there is a deeper problem here, and sites like the one I linked to often take us away from giving to (or supporting with our tax dollars) various charities that could actually have a society-wide, systemic impact on domestic violence and its effects, and instead make us zoom in on celebrity culture like we (as a culture, collectively) usually do - to the detriment of our culture as a whole. It's the nicer, more giving side of the coin that sees us funneling untold amounts of money into the hands of the Kardashians et al via the magazines, the websites, the shows, and on and on. But it's still the same coin. But I don't want this thread to become a discussion about celebrity culture. It's Christy's thread. I intended to say my very short piece, and give the link so that others could donate, even if I choose not to.
I have great sympathy for all women that have been abused like Christy. I suggest that "War Machine" should be referred to as " Felony Machine" from now on. I hope Christy sees the light and dumps this douchebag permanently. I hope Christy makes a quick recovery. But... Did Christie really think that War Machine would sit with her cat in his lap, drink herbal tea and discus " Pride and Prejudice" with her? Like she would go for a guy like that. Hello my ADT friends! I've noticed that this thread has been getting bumped to the top of the Star Crossed forum for the past couple days. Has Christy returned to porn? Is she shooting new scenes? Just kidding. [Sigh] Okay, I know what happened to Christy (I've been skimming through the recent posts) and like everyone else, I'm disappointed about it all. As I've been reading all of the recent posts here, I can't help but shake my head and roll my eyes as I go along because stuff like this is what annoys me the most about ADT-when everyone decides they're going to play Dr. Phil or "life coach" here and critique certain aspects of the personal lives of these pornstars. Whether it's the unfortunate situation for Christy, a pornstar being pregnant (check out the Sheena Shaw thread), the man a girl chooses for a boyfriend (Jillian Janson thread) or a girl abruptly quitting porn (Alina Li thread), so many members here feel the need to chime in with their sage advice (sarcastically speaking) and criticisms as to what they think a girl should have/shouldn't have done. I just think it's ridiculous and I prefer to stick to stuff like complementing my favorite pornstars, commenting on scenes/movies, making recommendations for future scenes/movies and providing constructive criticism about such things. I'd rather not know about the personal lives of these pornstars and I think it's best they keep those details away from us fans, but unfortunately in many cases they only add to the problem because they're all too willing to post such details on places like their pornstar (public) Twitter accounts. Of course, I guess what I'm really complaining about here is what the internet is essentially all about: the act of commenting, criticizing, and "talking shit" about people you don't know personally, all under conditions of anonymity (a random username, etc.) Oh well, I just wish Christy a full and speedy recovery; hopefully life will get better for her from here on out. I think it is legitimate to talk about the assault on Christy. Maybe a guy reading these posts thinks twice about using violence on a girl. That alone justifies us talking about her assault on ADT.
Christy is a beautiful girl but I've never really been a fan because of her tattoos and her head being shaved. What is the deal with girls shaving the sides of their heads? I'm glad it's a dying fad. I'm in the "are you really surprised?" camp too, but I read her version of events and Christy says they haven't been together since May of this year, in fact she says HE broke up with HER in May (and it seems as though that possible pregnancy that got brought up one page back is not true either, or SURELY that would have come up in all this.). anyway, this guy isn't famous and he isn't a cop. Why do you feel that the friend did nothing? I have seen no reporting that states that the friend did nothing. The friend was thrown out of the house/sent away -- depending of what version you read -- after being beaten. All that is given about his condition in the reports is that he was sleeping when attacked, fully clothed, and beaten. If he was in the same condition as Christy Mack, he may have passed out after leaving or taken a while in that condition to get somewhere for help. Nothing states he left with a phone or keys to a car. The friend is listed as being in severe condition, same as Christy Mack, and in the hospital. Nothing has been stated about how he got to the hospital or what he did after being thrown out/sent away. So, with the lack of any information on what he did, how can you assume he did nothing?
Some interesting reading on Twitter from her fellow adult performers. Most of them supportive. Shyla Stylez, however, is not one of them. Somebody, a non-pornstar, I presume, said 'I don't believe 1 word/picture that comes from Christy. Sorry, I don't'. Shyla simply replied 'Me neither'. Adding, 'There are bigger problems in the world than you @Christymack'. Cold.

Sad news. I pray for her recovery and peace of mind after this fool is caught. I have no doubt her real friends and supporters are showing her love now. Give her the strength to be done with this guy forever. She gave a statement of what happened. She didn't have to, she did this for her concerned fans. Let's not pick apart every little detail we're hearing. She was viciously attacked, she survived, that's all that matters, PERIOD. After she heals physically, the real recovery process will begin. Give her time to do it her way, on her own time! Do not judge her. This is not the time and place to debate the causes of domestic violence. Start a new topic for that. I'm inclined to agree with that, but this is an exceptional situation.Shyla was a great performer so I'm forever a fan, but that's a despicable response from her. Really it plays into what Mass Facialities wrote. A lot of the time I'd rather not know about what kind of people these pornstars - and I'd apply the same to celebrities in general - are offscreen.
