Gamma does not own GFF. At least not yet. Stilled mostly owned by a guy who goes by Moose, who used to own it in part with Dan O'Connell.
As far as what is going on with their casting, it is a combination of keeping costs down and trying to throw darts to hopefully hit a target like a Freya Parker, who was good at GG right from her first shoot, which was with GFF.
