Well, IMO GFF doesn't have to change its style to "regain its touch"... GFF usually had scenes with good and erotic storylines followed by a seduction/build up phase, which paved the way for lesbian sex. That was the usual "structure" of a GFF scene and it's practically impossible to have this in 30 or 35 minutes. I think your personal taste is more compatible with Sweetheartvideo, Zero Tolerance (discontinued site) or some scenes from Adulttime. So GFF just out of the blue decide to approach a different director to film a group of scenes after using the same one for multiple years. I mean what's the plan here? 3-Getting divorced does not make someone a lesbian: They would have been better served if the cheater had also been a woman.
4-The sofa: Why oh why do we keep getting lesbian scenes on a fucking sofa. As you can guess I think a lesbian scene on a sofa is a terrible idea. It not only limits the camera angles but limits what performers can usually do. That said this time it wasn't as bad but a bed would have been better.
5-Kissing: Not bad but also not great. More would have been better and more passionate kissing would have been even better.
6-The sex: It was pretty good but because the premise was that this was an hetero woman having her first lesbian experience. The performance did not point to that at all. That's the problem with piss poor scenarios like this. If you are going to write a scenario with this kind of set-up than make sure the performance reflect that.
7-The casting: Since I'm not big on heavily tattooed women than Kathryn was already going to be a problem but her performance during the sex portion was pretty good. The pre-sex portion was pretty bad. I don't know that I can blame any performer today because I doubt they bother practicing any of their scenes prior to shooting the videos.
OMG Pat, I've been watching lesbian scenes for the last 8-10 years, and I've never gone into so much detail about the storyline in so-called passionate lesbian sex scenes. So, regarding what you said in the first four points, I'm not going to go into that level of detail or research things like lawyers lesbian or realism-I'm sorry if you've done that before watching. Stories made for passionate sex scenes, whether involving a boy or a girl, usually don't focus on facts or reality. They're meant purely for entertainment. Its just a movie made or scenes made for viewers watching "Lesbian Sex" not a crime based fact movies.Directors shooting porn write a story for 5-10 minutes and then get back to shoot "Sex" they most focus on this sex word only As far as my review is concerned, I purchased it and watched it because of Serene, and I was pretty sure she would perform well-which she did. That's it. I'm not going to analyze the storyline in terms of realism. It was simply a review of what was made by B. Skow and direction was not flawless but better than what he is making
Haven't seen this particular scene but your comment about the sex not matching the scenario has been a pet peeve of mine for ages. If you are going to go to the trouble of coming up with a scenario, writing the dialogue, having the women act it out then the least you can do is emphasize to the women how these two characters would have sex.
The young naive woman experiencing lesbian sex for the first time that four minutes into the sex is doing things that life long lesbians rarely if ever do is very annoying to me.
This criticism is adjacent to the changing positions every two minutes to include every item on the checklist in a 30-40 minute scene.
^ Gorgon and Pat362, I'm not sure if you're criticizing my rating for this particular scene whether it's the 4/5 score I gave or that I may have hyped it too much as being worth watching. But if this scene, directed by B. Skow and performed by these two actors, doesn't deserve at least a 3.5+/5 rating, then I think many of his other scenes from the last 5-6 years would deserve negative ratings and this scene then deserved only 2/5 My rating was based on the performance and how the lesbian sex was directed, not on the storyline, the clothing, or how well it connects to the plot. Those elements aren't that important to me they mainly exist to help viewers ease into the scene before the main content begins that is lesbian sex or porn I'm a big fan of Dan and other directors who worked on GF films before him, and I also liked Nica Noelle as a director in this genre. B. Skow is still my least favorite, but I can't be overly harsh on him for this particular scene. He does deserve some appreciation for it, even if it's not flawless. Right now, I really enjoy Mike Quasar's direction because he's delivering the kind of scenes I personally like
Your review was very good so my comment was directed at Pat's points especially the one about the sex matching the story.
Personally I like when a story is well done but it's not really a must for me.
The obvious go to example of the story greatly enhancing the sex was the much loved 'What Set Us Apart' from Adulttime with Kendra Spade and Alina Lopez.
But we all have things that we like and things that we don't really care about.
