And I quote from Google:

'Aylo (formerly known as MindGeek) indirectly owns Girlfriends Films.Key Details of OwnershipParent Company: The studio belongs to the adult entertainment conglomerate Aylo.Corporate Structure: The Girlfriends Films brand and platform are operated by DigiGamma, a Netherlands-based subsidiary of Gamma Entertainment. Gamma Entertainment is a Montreal-based subsidiary operating under the broader Aylo corporate umbrella.Internal Buyout: Prior to its indirect integration into the larger conglomerate structure, co-founder "Moose" bought out the founding interest of partner Dan O'Connell in January 2014 to take full initial control of the studio. O'Connell transitioned to producing movies exclusively for the brand through his independent production company.'

I never state a fact that cannot be backed up with evidence. Aylo is quite involved within GFF and Gamma with both of them being under the Aylo umbrella.

Thanks for settling the argument. I never thought you would ever state something that you didn't know, I wouldn't either. Perhaps a corporation structure or map, i.e. drawing a picture, preferably in crayon, would have made the doubter happy.

So it's true, Aylo is a ultra-mega-one-ring rule-it-all tax dodging both largely responsible for Porn's problems and its saviour

Prinzzess, for me, was one of the best when it came to GG scenes. Her intense eyes and facial expressions were absolutely to die for, especially when she took control of those scenes.
She was, in fact, one of the longest-serving performers for GFF, and she even did scenes with B. Skow. Even in those scenes, she was absolutely phenomenal.
She may not have been the most beautiful star of that era, but when it came to performance, she was incredibly effective and impactful. Truly an all-time great who gave us so many memorable scenes. 🔥

Retirement is a very personal decision for a performer. She has her reasons, I suppose, and her talent was not wasted. Yes, this industry is cruel, but it also provides opportunities to newcomers and performers. It depends on the individual where they want to take their life

I am very glad that fans loved her and that so many of you have watched and recommended her scenes. She was one of my top 10 performers of all time when it comes to GG scenes. She was that good. While I have watched many of her scenes, my top three would still be the ones most of you have mentioned, specifically those in Daniel's list:
1. The scene with Bree Daniels 2. The scene with Georgia Jones
Scene 3: Angela White Nuru Massage
Besides these top three all-time favorite movie, "Teenage Lesbian" was truly exceptional.
By the way, yes, Prinzzess was also an all-time great performer for GFF. Most of her scenes were excellent, to say the least.

Pretty sure it's meant to be 1980's the age of frizzy hair, spandex, leotards, TV aerobics exercise, leg warmers.

Women seeking women 82:Nicole Moore and Riley evans
Lesbian Seductions Older / Younger 40 Nicole Moore and Sensi Pearl
Lesbian Seductions Older / Younger 34 Nicole Moore and Bree Daniels
Lesbian Seductions Older / Younger 18 Nicole Moore and Emily Parker
Lesbian Seductions Older / Younger 15 Nicole Moore and Bree Olson (Best scene for me)
Women Seeking Women 133 Elexis Monroe and Allison
Women seeking women 67 Elexis Monroe and Sinn Sage
Lesbian Psychotherapists 2 Veronica and Samantha Ryan

I am not a big fan of strap-ons or sex toys and have not watched many scenes, to be very honest. However, in my opinion, the scenes mentioned above were very good.
Nicole Moore was by far the best at using a sex toy.
Fans also say that Sinn Sage was among the best.

The people at DigiGamma / Gamma Entertainment would be surprised to hear that they're working for an Aylo subsidiary. Don't believe everything AI hallucinates.

Hallucinates - right, so there's absolutely no truth to Gamma owning GFF, Gamma's network is tied to WebGroup Czech (WGCZ) which in turn is part of Aylo's corporate ecosystem but sure, there's absolutely no connection between Aylo and GFF. you also overlook the fact that Byborg owns Gamma so it's not that radical considering that Byborg SA is located in Luxembourg.

LOL. Gamma/Byborg, Aylo and WGCZ are all competitors to one another. I'm sorry to say you're so dense that you can't tell the difference between fact and obvious AI slop fiction, and the result is that you've confidently asserted the porn industry equivalent of "PepsiCo is owned by Coca-Cola".

In their defense, back in my high school band days, the director would say it's better to be loud and wrong so the mistake could corrected.

Ergo, now they know lol

It okay being wrong or to make mistakes... at least that's what my bosses used to tell us: it proves you're working and not just playing it safe.
However, they weren't the ones who (accidentally) took down an entire service in a large organisation.

I was a huge fan of Bobbi Starr back in those days. Both of her scenes for GFF and SHV were just too good!
I also want to appreciate Lily LaBeau. She has been in this industry for almost 15 years now, and she's still shooting scenes that definitely says something about her longevity and dedication.
And thanks to Mike Quasar for continuing to cast her regularly. It's always great to see performers who have been around for so long still getting opportunities.

Love them both, though it seems I only have two scenes of Bobbi (WSW 58, GKG 9), both sensational! I remember another GFF that I had, but now lost. Lily LaBeau too, I mean who doesn't! This time I hold 6 scenes, she's on GKG 9 as well (with Lily Carter). "Girl Crush 2" is the earliest at 2011 with Andy San Dimas.
You're right! Lily is still awesome to this day!

Oh, me too!
Bobbi Starr was a fantastic performer. Her scenes for GFF were also very hot.
My top three would still include her scene with Rozen Debowe in WSW 77, Imperfect Angels 4 with Samantha Ryan, and Lesbian Triangles 13 with Daisy Layne.
Funny thing is, and also good at the same time, she did a scene with Lily Labeau for SHV Productions that was also very hot.

As far as Lily Labeau is concerned, fans should appreciate longevity and experience in this industry. That's why Lily, Eva Long, Alison Rey, and others should be praised more and more whenever they do a scene or movie.

Bobbi Starr was the rare performer that was really good in harder, dirtier scenes but was also very good in softer more romantic scenes.

She did a scene with Lily LaBeau in a release called 'Prison Girls' for Elegant Angel that was pretty rough. Not my favorite style but they were both good in it.

On the softer side she had more romantic scenes like 'Lesbian Bridal Stories 2' with Jayma Reid from GFF and 'Lesbian Triangles 12' with the incredibly beautiful Lisa Neills from GFF.

With all the talk about best and acclaim another way to look at things is by the worst or volumes/releases to avoid, ignore. That is particularly when a series has a large number of volumes.
What do you think are the releases to avoid in GFF series, I guess primarily interested in: WSW (199 volumes); Twisted Passions (34 volumes); Lesbian Psychodramas (41 volumes); Cheer Squad Sleepovers (40 volumes); Mother/Daughter Exchange Club (60 volumes); Lesbian House Hunters (22 volumes)
Feel free to mention others that you didn't like. If you're thinking scene by scene then you might consider how many great, very good, good, bad, atrocious scenes were on a volume.

^Oh, that's a very interesting thing to do, I must say! It will take some time, though, so let me first gather all the nostalgia, I guess, and try to look at it objectively. 😂
I'll get back to you on this thread, but let me tell you, there can be many to avoid and also many worth watching. One thing is very clear, though: the volumes directed by B. Skow will mostly be on the "avoid" list, with very few and very minor exceptions, I must say. 😅
But I'll definitely get back to you on this!

Thanks, whakamaakuukuu, for demanding this! 😂 Because after analyzing it, I realized that Twisted Passions is actually one of my favorite GFF series-and it was based on one of the best storylines of that era, the Lamoyne Hotel storyline.
And guess what? I still haven't watched 16 out of the 34 volumes in this series! 😭 So I honestly have no idea what will happen when I analyze WSW.
Don't worry, though-I don't think that analysis will involve these massive Excel sheets, because WSW has 199 volumes! And, to be completely honest, I haven't watched many of the later ones, especially after B. Skow started directing, so the last 30-40 volumes will probably be excluded from my analysis.

Anyway, here is my analysis of the Twisted Passions volumes! 🔥

Not really when it was created. That was when it was recovered from a corrupted hard drive. My fault: I tried booting it to a computer that didn't support the OS, although why it decided to corrupt it, rather than "eject" it, was still beyond irritating and annoying.

^Wow,55-minute scene between Hazel Heart and Diabella Eclair, as well as Scene 4, which is over 51 minutes long, are both impressively lengthy.
Looking at the back cover of the movie, nothing is mentioned explicitly; however, if I am correct, this is B. Skow's last movie. He has been removed from GFF Productions going forward.

I also talked about the same thing-that something seemed fishy behind the scenes at GFF. B. Skow's Twitter account no longer exists, the GFF Twitter handle became inactive after July 17, and LS 83 was released today instead of last month, which was reportedly its due date.
So maybe they were looking at new directors at the same time.
The issue isn't necessarily B. Skow. It's the overall direction. Mike Quasar showed a lot of promise with his two movies, but he himself said he wasn't contacted after that.

If the directing responsibilities go to Girlsway directors, then they're already making scenes very similar to GFF productions-the only major difference is that GFF provides longer, more lengthy scenes.
And I'm sorry, but Ricky Greenwood is a very good director; however, he has been extremely busy lately, and IMO the quality of his GG scenes isn't what it used to be.

So, whoever takes over as GFF's next director, if B. Skow is indeed being replaced, will need to bring serious passion and fresh ideas to overhaul or revive the production quality.

Yeah and that's question begging: who is responsible for the search and the decision. What type of director? What direction are they planning or heading? It seems nowhere quick. Where do porn directors come from? Do they go to film/art/drama school? Given how cut-throat porn is, I guess there isn't an intern program. I can think of a couple of quality directors that soon were too good, even for porn.
I was watching a scene filmed by a photographer: the lighting was out-of-this-world, that golden hour of sunlight, but the filming (shaky, odd angles, inexplicable sudden veering off so the women were out of shot), and direction was awful (the girls seemed uncertain and stopped on occasion, just looking limply at each other).
So you're thinking they're going secret squirrel to focus on a search before, what, a big relaunch? Or at least an announcement?

^Q: Who is responsible for the search and the decision?
Ans: I'm not responsible because I'm not their HR manager right now. LOL. 😂 If they're replacing B. Skow, that's their headache, not the fans'!

Q: What type of director?
Ans: For me, a passionate one-nothing else. The main thing in the director's head should be: How do we make the pairing and their chemistry work? The primary focus should be on the actual sexual encounter and making that work, with storyline development coming after that.

Q: What direction are they planning or heading?
Ans: For me, Straight-Girl and Teenage-Lesbian-type movies don't always work. But Path of Forgiveness works, Student Teacher Relations 3 works, and even true lesbian series can work etc.
The director just needs to focus on creating interconnected storylines and making sex part hot and seductive, because many times that's what fans really like. I have a very subjective opinion towards lesbian porn so I can't be a director or story writer for sure 😂

Q: Where do porn directors come from?
Ans: Simple-from the industry itself. When Whitney Wright directed Path of Forgiveness, where did she come from? Nica Noelle-where did she come from? Bree Mills was initially a marketing director in the industry. So directors can absolutely develop from within the industry.

Q: Do they go to film/art/drama school?
Ans: Honestly, I don't know the answer to this one. 😂

Q: At least an announcement?
Ans: I hope they come up with an announcement soon-whether B. Skow has actually been replaced or not. At least give the fans some clarity!

I'm not a reviewer like Daniel or anyone else here, but I just want to recommend watching the Hazel Heart scene. It was a really good scene. Out of the 55-minute video, almost 48 minutes were dedicated to sex.

I knew I was right all this time—I could tell something was going on behind the scenes! 😂 And finally, we got some clarity from the great man.
So, François Clousot (formerly known for his work with Penthouse, Wicked, and Digital Playground) is the new Director of GFF Productions! 🔥

Other than having clarity, Daniel, you seem excited about François Clousot, do you see this as a good move? I wouldn't know a director of a scene unless it was 'written on the tin.' Looking through what's on AE: almost all BG, one GG.

I haven't posted anything about this GFF issue since I thought it was just like a "rest period" for the studio. Now, after a month of inactivity and knowing about this new director (thanks to Mike), I'm kind of worried about what's going to happen. At least B. Skow had the opportunity to work with Dan and tried to imitate some characteristics of the movies he directed... It's difficult to understand how the best GG studio in the past two decades was abandoned by people that probably thinks that a "free use" scene or "Stuck under the bed" scene are better than 40 minutes of intimate GG sex preceded by an erotic storyline.
Some of the best taboo scenes I've ever watched were from GF Films and it would be sad to see scenes that don't follow the traditional style.

If someone knows more about this new director or anything related to this new change, it would be great. Thanks!

I'm slightly more concerned now having looked at the sparse releases in AE, but what do I know!
A major question is how they go from nothing like their past and nothing announced to something meaningful again. I don't know that they need lessons from Dan or anybody, a new director might likely have their own vision, hopefully one aligned with whatever hierarchy dictates. It's not as if the director is the only issue for the studio (apparently)!?

My posts sometimes feel a little exaggerated, mate 😂. It’s not about getting overly excited about the new director; it’s more about being happy that they’ve finally moved on from B. Skow—if they actually have moved on.They arrived late, but at least they came through, I guess.
Yes, I’m very thankful to Mike for considering this community genuine enough to share the news with us. GFF Productions created this thread themselves, and where they’ve gone since then, only they know! 😂
I actually wished Mike Quasar would become a permanent director after Dad’s Lesbian Lover 4 & My lesbian Masseuse 2, because he seemed much more passionate about the genre. Nevertheless, it looks like GFF has now gone with an in-house director, François.
When I read that François had previously worked as a Penthouse director, my mind immediately went to the right place. GFF and Penthouse had a deal back in 2017(DVD distribution agreement), and if you look at their Twitter/X activity, you can also see GFF reposting Penthouse content. So there does seem to be some connection between the two.
That’s why I think the decision to replace B. Skow with François, rather than continuing with Mike Quasar and having him shoot more GG content, could also have a cost-effectiveness angle.

Everyone should also keep in mind what I’ve recently seen and researched: GFF may be at one of the lowest points of its revenue in recent years. If that’s the case, they obviously need to revive the studio, and they may not be in a position to have a top director who can demand a lot when the studio itself isn’t generating enough.
Of course, my revenue analysis is only based on a few websites that estimate GFF’s current revenue at under $5 million, so take it as speculation rather than confirmed information.

I don’t know whether François, who has previously directed BGG scenes and movies, will be able to take AllGirlStudio forward, but I’m glad they’re at least trying to change things a little in this initial phase.
There’s still a LOT to do, though, because the director is clearly not their only problem. The lack of vision, the willingness to take risks with new projects, and the decision to keep providing split scenes instead of going back to the connected storylines they once had are all part of the problem. Who will solve all of this? Only they know.

For now, I just wish them the best of luck. 🤞 I really hope they continue producing movies—if 24 a year is no longer possible, then at least give us 12 good movies a year! 😄

Quality over quantity although let's be honest - finding a visionary like Ricky Greenwood or Nica Noelle is a tall order. Performers can be great directors & writers but the struggle in porn is both have a distinctive style but not one that makes everything look and feel the same. The difference between say Lesian Legal and Lesbian Psychodramas is crystal clear, same with Cheer Squad Sleepovers & The Creepers. That will be the saving grace, the contrast for example between SHV's Lesbian Analingus or Mother Lovers Society or even Lesbian Massage compared to Talk Derby to Me or Girls of Wrestling is quite definitive and not just because two are features. The feel of the scenes is different, less uniform that what you would expect from the standard fare. Best to have a director who approaches porn the way a chef approaches food at a hotel restaurant; you need to be able to make all your dishes as flawlessly as possible so that they all have their own individual tastes and spark rather than hoping that one or two good ones can overshadow the medioce offerings.

^Sorry, you can compare restaurants and chefs to porn directors and movies, but I can't make that comparison.
There is something called specialization, and then there are multi-cuisine restaurants; both are not the same.
Porn directors need to be versatile, but not every movie can be a masterpiece. That has never happened and will not always happen.
Every scene in a movie sometimes becomes so extraordinary that, in my opinion, you watch it multiple times. Then there are just some movies you watch once and never return to.
That also happens with food. A pizza from a restaurant is so flawless that you order it again after some time. In between, you start experimenting with other dishes from the same restaurant, but you don't like them as much.
That's why they are called the "special ones" on the menu.
same applies to porn movies: once a masterpiece is made, you will watch it again after some time because not every movie can be a masterpiece.
Dan O'Connell, Nica O'Noelle, and Ricky Greenwood created masterpieces; however, you should know that not every volume of their distinctive series is a masterpiece.
I don't know much about the new director of GFF, so I shouldn't comment right now. However, this studio, which has massively declined during the B. Skow era, cannot be revived by a director who previously made BG porn. I'm sorry, but even Ricky Greenwood (a visionary director who is currently making Girlsway scenes, which look awful to me) cannot revive the Dan O'Connell era. This studio is likely to shut down in the near future or merge with Girlsway soon.

I wasn't able to fully understand both of your viewpoints.
I believe that preferences for porn and food, are subjective.
For example, you might prefer pizza over pasta or burgers, just as you might enjoy Girlsway content more than GFF content.
Personally, I currently prefer SHV content because it portrays sex between two women as straightforward and natural, without complicated erotic storylines.
The sex scenes don't focus primarily on vaginal intercourse, but I believe they should include a significant foreplay phase, oral sex, and other positions such as facesitting, 69, or tribbing, all featuring excellent chemistry and well-executed camera work.
That's why sometimes a simple margherita pizza is far better than an exotic vegetable pizza.

It's probably less, or not at all, about the actual food but instead the visionary behind the creations. The analogy possibly doesn't work, it's not a bad attempt, though it has lead to a lot of confusion.
I suppose it is really saying that they should have someone willing to try things, not willing to settle for what's been tried before even in their own work.
We'll need to wait and see what this means in terms of releases or the likelihood of change, or restoring to anything close to the studio's prime. Maybe this is step one, so prognostications of doom are perhaps a little premature (though in major part fuelled by the silence). I'll withhold judgement, though my scepticism is bubbling away.

^^Let me explain. I want production houses and directors to follow two steps:
1. A connected storyline, regardless of whether the performers are experienced or newcomers, or the different kinds of creative concepts used.
2. Natural, passionate sex scenes that do not feel forced. For me, "hot sex" means focusing on everything kissing, body worship, touching, and a variety of sexual positions.

Right now, what is happening is that studios are either more focused on new concepts and erotic storylines or are placing too much emphasis on just the sexual content, like what SHV is doing, or on interview-based scenes such as those in ExcoGi Girls.
Allherluv are more focused on erotic storylines.
Girlsway content more focussed on pussy actions in scenes and forbidden relationships most of the time.
She seduced me is not worth to discuss right now I am sorry.
There should be a balance between the two. That's why my favorite director is and always be Dan O'Connell because he focused on both aspects and maintained a balance most of the time in each distinctive series and across all types of volumes.
Also, sorry, but not every movie can be a masterpiece or flawless. Movies are created by human beings, not machines. In my humble opinion, one volume of a movie can surpass another.

I really like this analysis of the series.
There are 41 volumes of Lesbian Psychodramas, and I still haven't watched 22 of them. From the screenshots, I can see that I probably didn't enjoy the first three movies very much. It also looks like the middle part of the series was better than the earlier volumes & later volumes directed by B.Skow

GFF is NOT shutting down anytime soon, look at their reviews from the Captain. They are not hemorrhaging viewers by any means and let's be honest - there's a huge difference between getting a burger from McDonalds, Wendy's or even Burger King vs Red Robin & Shake Shack. What made GFF productions so impressive was the effort and the ability to be able even the weakest scenes come off as being better than the lamest B/G scenes which is saying something. Consistency counts for everything; the need for an overall boost in quality of the offerings is clear. You don't buy a failing porn studio unless you have a serious plan to overhaul production which the current owners of GFF have ZERO intention of doing. Reading the article tells you very quickly that their approach is going to be completely hands off rather than hands on. SHV's content compared to GFF is far more condensed with less room for extended foreplay, call me crazy but I like to watch a scene in which both people can realistically reach orgasm. If you have a 32 min SHV scene in which it takes them 8 minutes to get to the sex, that leaves about 20 minutes for both parties to either reach orgasm or fake the hell out of it. Women historically take longer to reach orgasm than men which is why I see it as hit or miss. Are there scenes in which both parties hit the sweet spot and are able to have mutually satisfying orgasms? Yes but you can't tell me there are not a significant number of occasions in which it is faked/exaggerated to the point of being insulting for the camera. Being a visionary means daring to go further and higher to break new ground with the effort being recognized and elevating the scenes accordingly. That is what is missing, you say not everything can be a masterpiece: browse any thread on here about any of VMG's offerings from Blacked to to MILFY to Vixen to Tushy & Deeper; there's not a ton of criticism in the feedback, very few if any talent in the business has anything bad to say about them. If anything, getting offered a Vixen showcase is like a high school band member getting a chance to play with Taylor Swift or the Foo Fighters. It's a huge deal and guaranteed to be a sold out performance so there's almost no excuse for failing. I notice that with every studio, when they start falling into assembly line territory - when everything looks, feels, sounds the same is when the feedback goes from constructive feedback to rampant criticism and ridicule.

^Comparing BG Porn Studio to GG Porn Studio, especially considering that BG Studio is like Vixen Media Group, which makes millions and produces high-budget movies, is absolutely foolish. I certainly cannot do that. Secondly, regarding the reviews from Captain Jack: how many movies does Captain Jack watch in a day? His reviews tend to be more objective, but he often fails to point out what is lacking in a scene or which performances fall short and the overall camera work from the director etc.
Captain Jack does not provide detailed analysis because he is a very busy man, which I believe Daniel or Bono-One sometimes do. Captain Jack is a professional reviewer, and his opinions matter; however, many lesbian studios still struggle to gain subscribers or sell DVDs despite his reviews. People do not rely solely on reviews when subscribing or purchasing DVDs/VOD. I am not one of those people, and many others are not either; otherwise, GFF Studios would not need to change director if everything is going well.
Regarding your assessment of SHV, I have many criticisms of their scenes, but I disagree with your point about the buildup in sex.
The most significant foreplay time is devoted between performers before oral sex. I support Daniel on this point: the best foreplay sequences are seen in Sweetheart Videos, where there is a lot of kissing and body-to-body worship, even during 25-minute sex scenes in SHV right now. This level of intimacy is not seen in Girlsway videos, AllHerLuv videos, or even GFF videos lasting 45-50 minutes. In those scenes, it often feels like, "You just work on my pussy, and I work on yours."
The major drawback in SHV is the storyline; 2-3 minute storylines don’t work for me. But the hot pairings done by Mike Quasar are simply to be appreciated. The recent scene with Gigi Dior and Myra Moans, although I am not their biggest fan, was so good that I literally watched it twice. One piece of advice for Mike Quasar: create connected storylines like what he is doing for Sweet Sinner.
And I stand by my viewpoint: without a strong director like Dan O'Connell, no one can make GFF productions great again. Whether Ricky comes, Mike Quasar takes over, or any other director François or otherwise is brought into the picture, I don't see this studio returning to its former glory.
I genuinely believe GFF will eventually either merge with Girlsway or become irrelevant to many viewers. And at that point, no reviewer—not Daniel, not Captain Jack, or anyone else will be able to save them.
