We have really good actresses still making a work that it's worth like Lilly Bell, Octavia Red, Little Puck, Penny Barber, Sophia Locke, Seren Siren, Lana Smalls, Victoria Voxxx, etc and we now have two openly lesbian performers like Ophelia Fae and Freya Parker that are now going GG exclusive,soemthing I don't recall having in the so callled glorious 2010s. But this new director seems to be following the same old formula that's already everywhere in the GG scene: stepdaughters, stepmothers, and the same recycled concepts over and over again. Btw, AllHerLuv operates under the Missax banner, whereas Girlfriends Films has its own independent banner and was founded in 2002. Girlfriends Films is an all-girl-to-girl studio, whereas Missax isn't exclusively focused on that genre. Anyway, my question is: Does anything actually change with a new director? The answer is a big fat NOOOOOOO! I'm just waiting for this studio to shut down soon because it has completely lost the credibility it once had. [Link]

The movie has already made two mistakes by pairing Ophelia with Isabella and Scarlett Moon with Kait, because neither pairing really gives off the stepdaughter vibe. [Link]

I was just saying that the pairings would have justified the title Dad's lesbian Lover better than Stepdaughters, because, as you said, the pairings don't really include much older women with younger women. Isa bella with Ophelia and Kait with Scarlett are both younger pairings! As far as lesbians are concerned, apart from Ophelia, there may hardly be anyone left in the industry whom we can actually call a lesbian at this point. [Link]

The artificiality has gone so far that it's hard to imagine how things could get any worse. Many times, the performers look almost cartoonish, and naturalness has been lost big time. The split scenes have made things even worse. Scene after scene is released every week, sometimes with just a day or two in between, and by then, you can barely even remember the last scene you watched. The quality has reached its lowest point now. And that 31 million figure is not a fact; it's a joke! If the GG industry were really making that much money, or if Girlfriends Studio were earning that much, they could easily have contacted or booked more experienced performers instead of relying so heavily on younger ones. B. Skow wouldn't have been removed, and locations wouldn't have been changed if everything were going smoothly. If things were going so well, why would they need to make these changes? Layoffs are happening, and feature films are not being made as frequently as they used to be. So, honestly, where is all this supposedly huge amount of money going? [Link]

They have entire websites devoted to the metrics of various companies, do enough poking around and you find quantifiable numbers. In the current environment where over the top comic book based movies reign supreme making billions of dollars, expecting a more grounded product is a ridiculous. Hentaied, Parasited, hell there was a horror themed porn scene involved teeth in a vagina for crying out loud that I commented on. Not my cup of tea but clearly someone had the idea and yes, layoffs are happening but that's more due to studios wanting to extort more money from the talent. There's a great piece on this by Cami Strella where she talks about the root of the issue; a major site offered to keep her on the books for studio work in exchange for taking over half her OF to handle it which basically involves robbing her blind when you consider that OF already takes a flat commission of 20% of all creator earnings. In essence, the studio side of the industry has not been able to adapt like individual creators have been able to and she goes onto to say that she hasn't shot a studio scene in months without any hit to her income. Her mental health is better as well, in her own words "That's the real shift nobody in the industry wants to say out loud: it's not that performers are turning down studios. It's that studios have priced and mismanaged themselves out of being relevant to performers who have other options. I have other options. So does almost everyone I know who's been doing this longer than a year or two." She goes onto to say that studio porn didn't lose to OF, it lost by not evolving accordingly and now it's trying to buy its way back in by taking a cut of the very thing it has ignored for years. I suspect the new landscape of studio porn is going to belong to those who are in it for love of the art rather than just the business; who can create scenes and features that compell you to want to pay whatever fee or charge to see what they have cooked up because you trust their instincts. Granted that does mean making room for horror based or even scifi themed porn scenes but as long as they can crank out erotic material that stimulates my mind rather than just standard visuals in the typical 3-5 or 4-6 positions; I can accept that. The scene was okay, but the storyline was ridiculous and not even worth mentioning. I was right when I said this studio has become Girlsway Part 2, nothing else. Today will be: Lesbian Seductions Older/Younger 51 released May 29, 2015. This one has exceptional casting which leads to three very good scenes and the fourth is still pretty good. Scene 1: Brenda James/Heather Starlet is a slow sensual burn scene that is very tender and might not be everybody's taste but it is still pretty good. Scene 2: Prinzzess/Misty Rain is very good and is a great pairing of an all time great in Misty with a top notch lesbian performer in Prinzzess. Scene3: Cherie De Ville/Kasey Warner/Mindi Mink. Not usually a big fan of threesomes but this one works because the two older women really focus on the younger Kasey and they are all fantastic performers. Really good stuff. Scene 4: Magdalene/Blair Summers. Blair is the least known of this cast and had a relatively short career but her performance in this scene is fantastic as she really gets down to it and of course Magdalene rarely disappoints. This company has such a huge library that one could spend a long time just going through their archive finding forgotten gems or other scenes that at the time were deemed pretty ordinary but in our current times would be standouts. It was the kind of content that made a relatively small audience feel like it belonged to an actual genre. A studio actually felt like a studio. But nowadays, you can barely follow the storyline or listen to the ridiculous, unintentionally hilarious dialogue before another over-the-top sexual encounter takes over the screen. Some people might argue that the movies made back then were considered ordinary, but at least they had something going for them. Today, even that essence seems to have disappeared. This whole mommy-themed incest material has practically taken over both this studio and Girlsway. Performers will come and go, but when a studio's entire identity changes so drastically, you know its downfall is real. The irony is that this studio once managed to turn ordinary movies and scenes into a whole experience. Now, it has completely lost the plot. First, we had some questionable directing, and then came those ridiculous, seemingly pre-planned scripts written by a few people who apparently think they're delivering comedy rather than compelling storytelling. Click to expand If I remember correctly, that first scene was also very hot and erotic, in my opinion. Heather Starlet's scenes are literally to die for! Her nervousness, resistance, and then the intensity she brought to her performance were so good. Yes, it was a slow burn, and it was fantastic. Some of the camera angles were awkward, but a good scene is always a good scene. I can't keep living in the past, though, as some people seem to do. I try to enjoy what's in front of me rather than constantly criticising and comparing everything with different generations of performers, directors, scenes, and movies. Otherwise, you'll never be able to appreciate what's being made today. The reality is that they're still running this studio business today, even if their business model is questionable and almost every aspect of their current approach can be criticised. At least they're still providing me with movies and scenes to watch. Right now, my main focus is on accepting that what's gone is gone. Time doesn't stop, and people's behaviour changes. Their buying patterns change, too, and studios have to take those changes into account if they want to survive. A studio's essence doesn't necessarily remain the same forever. I can give multiple examples of websites and studios that have changed because of the demands of the times or because they've had to face serious challenges, including piracy, recession, COVID, inflation, performers moving towards paywalls, and, most importantly, changing consumer preferences, with more people gravitating towards incest-themed content. That's the reality of the business today. We can criticise the changes, question the decisions, and miss what studios used to be, but we also have to understand the circumstances in which they're operating now.
