I don't deny that the LGBT community has faced stigma in terms of overt homophobia. The stigma I'm talking about lies in stereotypes. The false equivalent I'm referring to is that lesbian porn seldom plays to lazy stereotypes of lesbians e.g. birkenstocks, being a bit overweight, buzzcut hairstyles, etc. Interracial porn often plays to lazy stereotypes of black men being thugs and sexually vulgar degenerates and of white women being vulnerable and slightly naive, alluding to the stigma of interracial sex.
It's curious that you claim not to be looking for one-upmanship so why are you extolling yourself? Being a black man doesn't make you a mouthpiece for all black men. Those of black heritage have different experiences and desires - they are individuals. Being partly of such descent myself proves that we don't want the same things. My take on the tagging is that I often find it tedious and unnecessary. Interracial sex is not the norm of your real life. Your real life is not representative of everybody else's real life.
I'm from Europe, and I never got it. The fact that IR was a 'thing' was shocking to me at the beginning. You get used to it, but I didn't like the extra tag, the baggage and ultimately the business side of exploiting that as something special. It's fucking 2020, people. It shouldn't be special, or extra. That's the idea.
Color blindness is the way, as far as tagging goes, IMO.
Of course there's nothing wrong with black men fucking white women, or white men fucking black women, or whatever racial category you want to put in the mix. That's awesome. Black is beautiful, as any other color. Beautiful is beautiful, FFS.
So you have declared that you are biracial or mixed race? Then you have a different experiance to a dark skinned black man with prominent African features. Not harder or easier, just different. Another black man came on here to stat that he does not have a problem with the IR. Go on most black forums and the last thing that they care about is the so-called historical negative stereotypes. It's the fucking we want to see not Hamilton.
Interracial sex is not the norm demagraphically. Especially black and races other than white. White male female make the bulk of most porn. This is why searchers need the tags. To save time.
^^They are free to have whatever fantasies they want about sex between people labeled as black and white respectively.
I guess it's something that arises in a ghettoized (by race, no less) society. I have enjoyed lots of scenes tagged as IR, and I don't even have a problem with other individual people being sexually aroused by the fact, idea or perception that black people fucking white people isn't seen as normal (I have seen this posted in this very thread, and fair enough, to each their own), but I applaud any efforts by businesses to eradicate tagging this particular 'racial' difference, because it normalizes it instead of reinforcing this ghettoizing view.
Black people having sex with any race is normal but not the norm. Anywhere. Globally. Even in the most liberal of places. Most races stick together. Which is why IR porn is such a lucrative business genre. IR tagging has helped, imo, normalise ir sex more than a lot in society. The majority of porn is NOT IR so removing tags would make it more diffiuclt for people to search for it. I do not know why inconveniencing people makes you happy?
Also like I said in other posts removing tags would make it easier for performers to conveniently aviod working with black men. For example I always assumed that Jasmine St Claire was an ir dodger. IAFD's IR tag told me that in her "World's Biggest Gangbang" movies she did IR and I went forward and bought the scenes. Her IR scenes were with amatuers so they would not have shown up using the other search method.

I can agree with this, the only difference is that since a lot of us want to watch that kind of scenes instead of removing the tag it would be much better to change Interracial to something else that doesn't implies different races.
The fact is the problematic nature of the tag, how it contributes to racism in the industry, and harms and limits performers' careers outweighs the alleged issue of search inconvenience, the handful of viewers who claim not to get off on the racist nature of the scenes, and alleged career concerns for black male performers.
The tag had a good run, but it seems the current climate is too much for it to survive in, so you might as well accept that all your losing is a tag and not the scenes themselves. But who knows, a year from now, things might just go right back to where they were.
Wow, just wow. That's quite the presumption of my appearance. I am indeed mixed race (of four ethnic backgrounds in fact) but is it customary for you to decide who's black or not black enough to understand or share experiences? That is extremely prejudicial and oppressive.
The professional footballer Ashley Cole and the porn actor Xander Corvus are both born to black fathers and white mothers yet their skin tone and features differ significantly. On the subject of African features, they're not a constant among sub-Saharan Africans or descendants, are they? Even if you take West Africans in isolation, there is diversity in facials features.
^ I'm curious where I said or implied a black person's opinion doesn't matter. Having a difference of opinion doesn't mean you deny a person from having an opinion by saying an opinion doesn't matter. Please tell me my faith in you being capable of distinguishing the two is not misplaced.
Let's just say I probably look more like George Floyd than you do (which is neither a negative or a postive before you go there). A George Floyd had a different life experiance to a Xander Corvus, just like Rock Dwayne Johnson has to Bobby Lashley. Both POC, both with black parentage. George was ironically in porn. I usually prefere to watch porn with people who look like him than Xander Corvus (who is a great performer btw, but my preference is ir).
You claimed in an earlier post that I was acting like the voice of all black men and that my opinions were my own and isolated. Another black poster and now two responses to the tweet stat otherwise. You can go on any forum frequented by black men and the thing that we moan about the most are dodgers and certainly not being fetishized. I for one am proud of Loiu Smalls, Rico Strong, Mandingo, Rob Piper, Sean Micheals, Lex, Pipes, Jon Jon, Donny Sins, Macana Man, Pressure, Dredd, Mandingo, Prince Yahsua, Rome Major and any other amature "brother" that gets to lay a hot female. Long live IR.

It isn't the end of the world, but I would have preferred they not do this. The IR tag is useful.
That is only evidence that most people in America are happy to report a specific ethnic label regardless of their actual, real ancestry.
Anyway, your biased data doesn't shed any light on whether America is a melting pot compared to most other countries. Not only because it's biased (self-reported), but because we don't have data to compare it to.
The scientific validity of that 2,7% is laughable. It's a (pointless, IMO) census based on self-description, but I guess the concept of race and ethnicity is important in America. Self-reported 'whiteness' or 'blackness' doesn't correlate with actual 'pure whiteness' or 'pure blackness'. Not even with the broad strokes you need for these expressions to be meaningful.
If you want to learn from a scientific standpoint to what degree your country is a melting pot, you can check this, for example:
No, I claimed you were claiming acting like the voice of all black men. That was all I said I absolutely did not say your opinion was isolated. You only inferred I said your opinion was isolated but that inference lies solely with you.
Please tell me where having 3 black guys of the same opinion as you is representative of all black men.
You've yet to bring me ANY black men with differing opinions yet. And I don't mean puritans who do not like porn. Or racial puritans. In fact what type of porn do you like? Who are your favourite porn actors? What is your fetish? Becuase I can bet my taste is different to yours. And in a free society. It's supposed to be ok.
I want my homies Loiu Smalls, Rico Strong, Mandingo, Rob Piper, Sean Micheals, Lex, Jon Jon, Donny Sins, Macana Man, Pressure, Dredd, Mandingo, Prince Yahsua, Rome Major to keep getting paid and if so-called racist wanna fetishes them, let them, as long they pay directly for it.
^ For one who denies one-upmanship you seem remarkably self-satisfied in boasting that 3 men agree with you. I didn't state any black men disagreed with you so there is no burden on my part to prove an argument I didn't make. Surely you are not this obtuse to take me saying you haven't proved every black man agrees with you for meaning that at least one person disagrees?
While I've been happy watching many of the fellows you've mentioned, you are going off-topic by bringing what I like into the discussion. That's on you if you wish to be warned by moderators to stay on topic but you can start another topic if you are so keen to ask.
I could bring the whole black male population of Atlanta and you still wouldn't be satisfied. So let's do it this way - Answer my question. What genre of porn do like? Who are your favorite actors? Name one of your favourite scenes? What sites if any are you subscribed to? I bet your tastes differs to mine. But the difference between you and me is that I do not want to hide, ban or censure your fetishes but you do to mine becuase of your philosophical and sanctimonious hang ups.
Just because I haven't been in correspondence with IAFD over the years don't mean I haven't been for a change like that for a long time (there's actually a decent chance that a statement like that can be found in my post history on this site). My general issue here is that I don't think the best solution to this problem is less information/making the info harder to get to. It's the easiest solution, which is why people are quickly jumping to it, but not the best one. More information made easier to get to is better, so indicating the races of any/all performers would be my preferred solution, even though I understand that it would make more work and take longer to do.
They might as well remove the race description in the performer BIO information. So stupid... This is as bad as the insta ho's who posted the blac out post...SMH.
It seems like it was all the white performers/fans accusing the likes of Lansky and Dogfart for "promoting racism" by using blacked or blackedraw or Dogfarts themes. Thats just some white privilege bullshit in itself. It personifies white privilege in my opinion.
What makes you think I don't like porn where people of different races perform together? I never expressed a desire to hide, ban or censure your fetishes. I said I disagreed with the labelling - that's not the same thing.

So IAFD is removing the IR label from porn listings...is it too much trouble to simply click on your preferred pornstars page and see what scenes the've done with certain partners? They have a listing for scene pairings. What's the problem?
Would it be possible to include the tags in the scene pairings tab? I'll explain what I mean.
Suppose I'm someone who only likes scenes that end with facials. I also happen to want to see my fave white girl with a black guy today.
Before, I could go to her page and filter to include "facial" and "IR" and it would show me the scenes where she takes a facial from a black guy.
Now, I can't do that. I can go to scene pairings and see all the black guys she's done scenes with, and lists of those scenes. But I'd have to click on each of those titles to see if she does a facial in them. It's potentially a lot more work to get what I want.
But if the tags can be imported onto the scene pairings view, then I can see right there that oh, she worked with that guy in four movies, and in one of them, she took a facial.
(This would be useful for people who aren't interested in IR as well of course. Example: you know that girl X worked with boy Y in several different movies, but you want to know which one they did anal in.)
A performer like Bridgette B., Lisa Ann or Phoenix Marie, with hundreds of scenes with both women and men would make the task of scrolling through hundreds of faces cumbersome and in many instances, disturb buffering.
Also if an actress did a scene with a guy who is an amatuer with no profile pic then it would never be found. Meanwhile filtering the "ir" tag makes things, quick, simplier and easier.
Also trangender performers with black men is even more rarer so seeing a tag next to a their scenes would save time too.
Finally it's much easier for IR police like myself to catch and monitor dodgers who have had long careers, hundreds of scenes and no black dick, I'm talking about you Diamond Kitty.
Anyway. I'm out of here for today. Peace and love to all lovers of IR and black males in porn.
The problem they have yet to notice is just how white porn is. I'm going to use search engines for example. Not just with IAFD but with any other site that decides to ban the Interracial tag. Let's say you search for blowjob scenes.
If you type in "IR Blowjob" you will get a good amount to a lot of IR blowjob scenes show up in the search.
If you type in "Ebony Blowjob" you will get a good amount to a lot of ebony blowjob scenes show up in the search.
If you type in just "blowjob" then you will get more scenes where both the performers are white and very few IR scenes pop up in the search.
So there lies the problem. They fill non-ethnic tags up in the search engine with more white on white porn than any other kind of porn. Under blowjob tags you'll get more white on white scenes, under threesome tags you'll get more white on white scenes, ect. They already make it hard to find interracial scenes which is why most people have to type in "Interracial threesomes" or "Interracial blowjobs" ect.
Oh and not to mention to your point it is still not considered racist if girls choose who they work with based on race. I mean the AVN still have some of those girls in their hall of fame.
But the good news is that this is going to help out pro-am Interracial studios because they don't seem to be waivering and giving into the PC crowd. dickdrainers is still doing there thing. Borthalovers are still doing there thing. and so on.
Ugh.....I understand some people feeling the need to do their part to problem but this really does nothing but make a group of people happy who've decided that a lable to describe an actual thing bad. Black performers have real actual problems in porn being treated fairly and equally and droping an indentifying label isn't going to change any of those real problems. "IR" is used in porn as a tag to identify a specific thing. Some people are into that specific thing and would like to be able to find it. I'm balck. If I date a white girl I'm in an interracial relationship. I'm fine with it being called that because that's what it is. I'm black. That's nothing I'm ashamed of. Call me black all day long. I just want to be treated equally. You don't need to be colorblind just respectful and fair. So now that the "IR" tags are going away porn is racially problem free now? So now that the tag is gone now black performers are going to get treated equally? Now that the tag is gone those studios who didn't shoot black performers will now start doing so? Now that the tag is gone the fans who are into mostly waatching black on white porn have seen the light and stop seeking it out and just want watch any porn with people of any skin color in it? So now that the tag is gone girls who refuse to have sex with a guy just because he's black will now have no problem with it because it's not called "IR" now? So now those girls who demand more money for their first scene with a black guy can't get it because there's no such thing as IR in porn anymore? Wow. that IR label has so much power. Who would've thought by getting rid of it so much good will be done.
Let's fix the problems by taking away the taking away the name that identifies it. No need to address the actual problems, now that the problems don't have a name we can choose to ignore them. I'm sure black performers will really appreicate the "IR" term not being used when they get fucked over.
You could be fine with it but "black" is not a race. Barack Obama, a black man, is the son of a white woman. Are mother and son of different races? That's what makes "interracial" problematic. Different races imply different treatments. Racism is based exactly on the idea of different races. And I think it's quite funny that even those who want to remove the tag don't think that it's the word that that is controversial. That said, if there's the need to repeat it another time, replacing "interracial" with something else would be much better than just removing it.
It should be possible to render the notes from performer credits to the scene pairing, but the main issue is how the labels are coded to the movie in the database rather than the scene or pairing. Jeff can correct me if I am wrong; this causes issues if a performer is in multiple scenes or there are more than two performers in the scene.

You're clearly missing the whole point of it. Read all of Jeff's posts again with a broader mind.
Thanks for the reply morbid. I had thought of that multiple scenes issue, and how it might cause problems, but at least then you'd know which movies may potentially have what you're looking for, even if you end up clicking on that title and finding out that the girl's facial scene was actually with someone else in that movie.
I think there would just need to be a disclaimer, much like there is in the "credited with" field.
Obama is mixed race/biracial. Not black. The one drop rule is a dated white supremacist concept that has to be weeded out of the lexicon one day. Obama, is a good a man, was a decent enough President, but was not the first African American president, He was the first bi-racial President. Calling Barack Obama, a black man, son of a white woman is no different to calling him a white man, son of a black man.
So everyone in mainstream media can use the term Interracial, but the adult industry shouldn't? I'm still unsure our position on this. There are very many African American fans who have no problems whatsoever with this word and are big fans.

Agreed - I feel like this move was made without really talking to black people and all POC that work in the industry or are fans. Seems like the quick move to say "hey look we are being active"
I'd have no problem with that except that I wouldn't be able to narrow down a research about one girl or one man having worked together or whether an actress or an actor took part on a porn series or what porn series they were in if that series was formerly tagged IR and now what?
I Mean for Example "How to Train A delinquent Teen" is (was) an IR series it contained a fantastic scene between Riley Reid and Nat Turnher , Now I remember that correctly , but if I didn't and just remember a scene with Riley and a black guy playing those roles , How can I find it? There would be no way to narrow it down to a reasonable low number of possibilities whereas IR and Teen would restrict it to a couple dozen.
If I have to know at least the guy and/or the series or both in advance I wouldn't need any IAFD to look at
worse. What if I was looking to a extra scene a BTS or something like it that was in an IR movie with maybe Chastity Lynn? there would be absolutely no way to find it because the only thing that would narrow it down to a reasonable lower number would be gone ,I'd have to check every single movie Chastity had done
So it would be OK to remove it but there should still be something equivalent , IAFD is still a database whose purpose would still be to let people surf among data to find what he's looking for otherwise it would be no different than a catalogue , you'd have to browse every page every single time to find something you're not sure where to find
Another Thing , I think the IR label is what made the powers that be in porn to notice how in demand it was and fill such demand even when they were racists , we all know that the green color outweighs every other ,If it wasn't there IR wouldn't have been able to stand out as a marketing product on its own right , with its owb shelves in store , without that label it would have remained a product like every other , the main agencies and producers wouldn't invest on it and it would never have reached the prominence it has in sales , more than that there would be a lot less black performers out there , the producers would put an IR scene in a regular movie every now and then much like what it was during the eighties and nineties in mainstream Red Light movies in Teathers , how many IR scene were there? Next to nothing let me tell you ,Sean Michaels had to basically emigrate to Europe to to be able to work more consistenly
I don't know what you mean with "white drop rule", but for the science, not for white supremacists (who have the idea that black and white are two separate races and therefore have to be treated differently: meaning that blacks are inferiors) races don't exist because the dna of every person comes from many different parts of the world if we go back to previous generations. Obama is not simply son of a white woman or a black man, he has ancestors in Germany, in Ireland (if I remember correctly) and other places. And that's true for basically everyone (besides maybe the people who live on Sentinel Island and few other restricted groups who are extremely isolated).
Absurd. Regardless of looking more like his mother who was white, Obama self-identifies as black and I bet that is from the prejudice he had endured. Who are you to deny Obama's blackness he identifies with? Are Obama's children not black enough for your tickbox either?
That kind of black, not black, not black enough classification view gives credence to the horseshoe theory.

Come on let's be honest here..All this removing "IR" tag is pure BS and i'm not talking about IAFD personally here..IAFD are doing their job since the industry have taken this course..If you look closely the people who are crying on twitter and social media in general for this tag to be removed is either black female performers who have seen their work decrease dramatically , female performers who have contracts with "certain" companies and some male actors that for some reasons even if they get known by shooting scenes with this particular tag now they decided to play the offended by it..Not to mention the girls who are posting about how racist this tag is and the industry in general even thou they are dodgers..Thank god most of the performers have kept low profile and they don't get toxic attacking other performers just because they don't share their opinion..

Jules i'm with you on that..Like a simple tag will dismiss racism if there is in the industry..In the future when you shoot with either BM/WW or BW/WM just ask them if they are ok with the term "IR" to be used and if they are ok with it use..Do not become part of this trainwreck..
The very fact that you use the term 'self-identifies' goes to the heart of the issue - race is a social concept. Nature doesn't tell us we are of a particular race, we humans invented the concept of race because it confers certain social advantages. To whit, it allowed Europeans to pat themselves on the back for how kind it was of them to invade and subjugate the lands of other peoples. Can I get a 'Woo hoo!'? No, didn't think so.
As a white male, I cannot tell you the number of times I have done something idiotic. The notion that my 'race' makes me James Baldwin's intellectual superior is patently absurd. The notion that my race makes me Michael Jordan's physical superior is risible.
So, what exactly does my 'race' confer upon its members? The ability to absorb more vitamin D and produce previtamin D3 at higher latitudes. That's it folks. Can I get a woo-hoo?
^ That's your take on race but race doesn't have to infer superiority/inferiority. Racism is where superiority or inferiority are inferred from race. Race doesn't equal racism. Observing or recognizing physical differences is not the same thing as creating a hierarchy of perceived superiority based on physical differences.
