Since then he's only made 10 posts here with the last one being in December 2018, so quite a while ago. There are definitely examples of misconduct in the industry, but I think you're overstating the issue. I consider myself friends with several people in this industry. There are also legendary friendships between big names that have lasted decades. (For example, John Stagliano & Rocco Siffredi.)
As far as shooting practices, the market dictates what gets produced, which is true of any other creative industry if you think about it. Few are the directors who will consistently produce what they like personally, regardless of the market's demands. From what little I know of Jay Sin, he was one of them.
