Wow Mike, is it a full time job for you to be so miserable and jealous? First off i don't work for Vivid anymore, so this is just my take on it. Does anyone really care you ask....apparently someone does because 20k units just went out the door. I saw it and if someone is buying it to jerk off, don't bother, but it amazes me how you can trash something you haven't even seen. It was actually very good, and enjoyable to watch, it is a piece of history. As far as the Kim K dvd is concerned it was rereleased in it's original form and has sold around 100k units. And is still selling very well, because it is good, she is hot and I'm sure you never saw that either. As for the Hirsch family being sued, there is the Jimi Hendrix Estate that could do that. So you are wrong again. Just by the way, Steven Hirsch has more class in his baby toe nail than you have in your entire body. If Vivid doesn't put out these titles someone else will, why should Steven lose that money? By the way, Vivid passed on the Buttafuco tape, and the Screech tape, and a half a dozen others that did not have the proper paperwork or Steven felt were not worthy. Wow I'm surprised at you. Why are you sure it is really terrible, contempt prior to investigation....hmmmm. I saw it, it was done really well. It is not for jerking off, it is a piece of history. The dvd that Vivid put together could air on the history channel, it was very entertaining. I am not a part of selling this tape, so I have nothing to gain by saying I liked it, it was just done well and was entertaining.

I can't speak for Steph of course but for me it's already terrible because it's coming from Vivid. I find everything about them terrible! And Vivid is not releasing this movie for the history lessons, they're releasing it so they can take our money very easy. I mean they didn't take any effort in making this, they bought it cheap and want to sell it to us at a high price so they can make like a 1000 hex profit.

Honestly, what is the last Vivid movie you saw? Did you see the Jimi movie? I think the answer is no, but i did and they put a ton of effort in it and it shows. And just FYI, they paid a lot of money for it, and I mean a lot, and that's why it is selling so well. Vivid is in business to make money, that's why they released it, just like every other adult company in the world. If Vivid didn't release it, Redlight would have, or somebody else would have. If you find everything about Vivid terrible, you surely haven't seen any of their movies. To name a few, Sunny Loves Matt excellent, Morphine excellent, Doll Underground excellent, I could go on and on, not my opinion, these are reviews that they recieved, on this site and the other review sites. Again I don't work for Vivid, but I find it ridiculous that people bash something they don't really know about. Please just answer my one question, what is the last movie from Vivid you saw? I don't steal music or movies from pier to pier websites because i think it is wrong to cheat the artists out of their money and royalties they deserve. It is that which drives the price of a movie ticket up to $10. That's just me, we all have our own set of morals, but I feel that is no different than walking in a store and taking something off the shelf without paying for it. No contempt at all, just an educated guess. I watched the trailer. If I bought the DVD looking for Jimi Hendrix sex footage I doubt I'd get what I'm looking for. I have no problem with celebrity sex tapes. They get people to buy porn who wouldn't otherwise buy porn. They are not for the regular porn watcher. I added this title to our database the second I got the info. I'm sure it will sell well. I don't agree with Mike South at all and I certainly wouldn't hire him as a marketing consultant. rings a bell for me, but if you read the thread someone said they paid nothing for it, and are ripping us off. I was responding to that, it wasn't cheap. You have to pay for something good, this is a very competitive market. If you can sell 20k units, you would tend to pay a premium for that product. You never get something for nothing, you always get nothing for something.
Just to let you know, Vivid is putting out Gonzo style movies and has a reality series call Brand New Faces that shoots the first scene of new girls coming into porn.

I am guessing your second line is not really a question, but a statement. But I will answer it as a question because you put a question mark there. Some people like watching historical footage of notable people. Jimi Hendrix was quite possibly, no, for sure, the greatest rock guitarist of all time. The New York Times said in it's article on this that it could play on VH1 or the History channel, meaning the production quality is superb.
