I really appreciate you folks telling me the obvious, but I'm not the one you should be reminding. It's the millions of internet surfers out there who've become accustomed to getting things free. Until the industry comes up with an ironclad deterrent to illegally downloading porn, it'll continue to be an epidemic that will never stop growing. I'm curious, though. I believe the Hendrix estate is run by Jimi's half sister, daughter of Al. It was my understanding that they managed to retain all the rights to his music eventually, and that all releases current are owned by his estate. I could be wrong, but I think that all this happened while father Al was still alive. Like Marilyn Monroe, everybody made money off of Jimi Hendrix, and he'll be just as enduring an icon. I'll admit a certain amount of curiosity about this sex tape, and vividly remember Miss Plaster Caster from a movie during the 70's reminiscing about how much Jimi liked "modelling" for her creation. We all have to step back and realize one thing: we're living in the age of downloading, bit torrent, etc. Companies are just as aware as the consumer of the fact that 60-80% (if not more) of their material is going to end up online for illegal download. They can't do much about it. One must also remember that the average age of illegal downloaders is under 35. Studies have shown that the average age of most people who buy porn is over 30. But with the sheer volume of product produced each month, I highly doubt many companies are feeling the hurt from internet downloads. Also, many people prefer to own original copies of their movies, regardless of what they are. I really don't have a big problem with illegal downloading of stuff that's either a) cut or in horrible condition in its current release or b) out of print/not available. Generally speaking, if a company puts out a sub par release of a film I think they should loose money on it. They're short changing the viewer.
